My husband is a captain and calls this trip "short London" and at least you got to experience it. Once you get a "long london" you'll get to really enjoy the sites etc. I used to live there for work. There's so much to do! Harrods, the museums are almost all free and of course the major sites. The buses are an economical way to get around.

I was called for London off standby last week, it’s an awesome city when you have enough time to tour around! They also have Uber that you can take all around the city much quicker than the hop on hop off bus! ❤️✈️

I had a problem with my dryer in Ireland. And I called the front desk and they brought me another one. I hope you get to come back and explore again.
I travel all the time from ORD to LHR for work! Maybe you'll be on my next flight!
For the hair dryer, it most likely plugs into an outlet that requires you the flip a switch (at the wall) throws me off too

For future reference don’t bother paying for a ticket to go up on the london eye, it was the most boring part of my trip. If you have some time on your next London short layover you should look into one of the “free” (you just tip your guide) walking tours, it’s a great way to see a lot and learn some stuff in just a couple hours. I recommend sandemans
Shelby Chanel I agree called London Walks, the pub tours are the best as you go to several pubs and learn about things in those parts of London.

I had same issue with the hair dryer in my London hotel. Had to call front desk. You have to continuously hold down a button on the hair dryer , which makes it really hard to use. Had same problem in Spain.

I just got back from London and stayed at the same hotel. You were a five minute walk from Harrods, you could have seen shoe heaven. The tube next to your hotel would have taken you to the Palace in no time.

Im going on a new mexico trip for grad school for social work, they talked to some at the detroit airport and they said TSA line and customs lines are so long because they are pulling agents from airports and putting them at the Mexico border. I don't know how accurate that information but they told our professors lines will be long until things get under control which is a scary feeling.
