I don’t usually comment but just wanted to say I really enjoyed this video. The video from the helicopter was amazing and your FO briefly believing it was the Eiffel Tower made me laugh. Thank you.
I had the pleasure to meet and greet Paul on his way back to Newark. He was “my” pilot and I was able to have a quick chat with him after landing. Another great video.
I have to tell you I actually teared up at the last bit about whatever we might be traveling for. My dad passed unexpectedly while visiting us for the holidays this year, so instead of our intended year of family holidays, we've traveled a ton and mostly for the less fun sort of reasons. A birth (meeting my new baby cousin) and a death (returning my father home, moving my mom to live with us full time, getting their home ready to sell) and I'm so grateful there are crew out there who are so proud to provide their passengers safe, comfortable passage. Thank you for showing us the other side of the curtain!
I wanted to pitch in, and tell you how thankful a lot of us are for YOU! The passion you have for flying doesn’t go unnoticed. The real passion and moment you shared in that helicopter ride, really shows your pride!
the shots of the tower of london from the air takes my breathe away, as a tudor history lover and new airline pilot this gets me so stoked for trips overseas in the future godwilling!! Awesome video!!
I'm still amazed when I hear that the 767/757 have become so junior that a new FO out of training can hold it. They are great planes and in my opinion a much better aircraft to be on than a 737 or A320. Thanks as always for another great video!!!
As a Train Operator for NYC transit considering the leap into skies, this video made the consideration VERY warm and fuzzy. The video closing for a transportation worker is heartfelt. Thank you
Your videos are so inspirational Paul! I’m going to be starting flight school this week to obtain my PPL. Hope to be flying for a legacy airline in a couple years time!
I'm a recent convert to this channel and really have to exclaim how much I enjoy this. Easy to binge on the content, which is upbeat and interesting without being cloy or "promotional". I really appreciate your authentic enjoyment of the work you do and - without getting bogged down in too much detail - how you share the aspects of the job and how crews work. As someone who travels A LOT - weekly - I really enjoy seeing the other side of the cockpit door. Also your lifestyle tips are super helpful. I may just skip the lounges and opt for the Farmer Frig stuff, on your tip. Thanks for doing all this work! United should be paying you a big chunk of money for all the uplift you are doing for their brand!
Hi it’s Paul from Kent seen your channel for the first time what a wonderful channel love the helicopter over London and Heathrow truly amazing keep up the great work you are doing. Paul
I’m working my way to the airlines and getting to that 1500 hour mark can be a grind sometimes. Your videos always act as a bit of motivation. I’m really looking forward to my own layover adventures.
Just love your videos! I was an Air Canada Incharge for 33 years /Cardiac Nurse as well and now full time in Nursing but you always bring me back to how special the job can be when you make the best of it! It was really wonderful to see that a Helicopter Trip like this is still possible. I remember so many landings into Heathrow on that right turn over the Thames and landing on often blustery cold rainy mornings. Keep up the good work with your videos and for sharing the joy of travel with your positive energy!
A little biased as London based here and I always love the approach into LHR over the city. This has to be one of my favourite vlogs of yours ever as you are as excited as a kid at Christmas despite all the flying you do. Ive done a helicopter in NYC twice, once from JFk to Manhatten and a sightseeing tour. The other tine was from Nice to Monaco which was pretty cool. Thanks for sharing your layover life with us.
“Tom Cruise who?” 😂😂 My favorite part about being an aviation professional is that there are times where we can get as giddy as a 5 year old doing something special. Wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Landing into Heathrow you always go into a holding pattern, one plane landing every minute very busy! Another cool video and glad to see you visiting the U.K.!
I see that Exact Helicopter fly over Northholt on most days in the afternoon. It is so cool to find out that you were in the heli when I was probably watching it. Great Video thanks a lot.
Next time you're flying into to Edinburgh you need to head out to my home town. 14 miles from the airport come to Grangemouth home of the Kelpies. You will love it.
Hi Paul. What a great vlog! I live 40 mins east of London on the coast and never tire of seeing the sights on and off the ground. The tower and the city are my favourite parts. I can recommend Madisons near St Paul’s for a roof top drink. The sky garden in the walkie talkie building. How amazing was that helicopter ride! So nice that you get the opportunity to be flown around the city for pleasure. I can also recommend the Ned hotel in the city near Bank station. Safe travels x
I have watched so many of your videos and liked so many but rarely comment but i felt i needed to on this one. What a great video! Keep up the fantastic work!
I love your videos and your personality. This is one of my fave videos - I LOVE London so much. I worked there several years. Thanks for sharing your experience.
As someone who works backstage at Disney World (and is currently watching your video on my break backstage), I really enjoyed you telling how excited she was to go backstage at the airport!
Love the experience of the helicopter trip - those views were amazing! Wycombe Air Park where you flew from used to be the home of a warbird flying company that Steven Spielberg used in many of his films that were made in Europe. They did Empire of the Sun and Indiana Jones and used to have the prop fuselage they used in Indy 3 in that scene when a wingless fighter chased Indy and his dad through a tunnel outside their hanger there!
Paul, your videos are consistently awesome! This one was particularly enjoyable, especially seeing your FOs joining in on your adventures. Thanks a bunch! 🙌
You’ve really inspired me. I recently moved to MPLS from phoenix with my wife. I’m 36 and have dreamt of being a pilot. Life has treated us well and I’m going to pursue that passion. Thanks so much for putting your career and life into perspective.
I used to fly one of the planes just off to the left as you left Wycombe. That brought back memories. What an amazing little trip! Thank you for sharing your travels with us all.
Thank you Being an airline pilot can be fun, and stressful at the same time since the life of many people are in your care, but after the flight you can also have fun at the destination where you could do all sort of activity there. You also have to work with many people to make the plane be able to operate it's fullest potential.
I love when your videos come out, they're an inspiration to me as an aspiring airline pilot. I haven't started flight training yet, but I should be soon and I can't wait! Your videos help me remember what my goal is, when times like now when I'm waiting to start flying get me impatient.
I have been looking forward to this video, thank you for taking us along. I love London, it was so nice to see the city from your perspective in a helicopter.
I especially enjoyed this video because we just got back from a short vacation to London. It was cool recognizing all the sights from the helicopter and knowing exactly what everything was, and where we had just been. Slight correction, the original London Bridge is in Arizona now, (not Nevada), in a town called Lake Havasu City. After 15 years of not flying, followed by one disastrous transatlantic trip that ended in an anxiety/panic attack, I have now taken three transatlantic trips in the last nine months with zero problems, thanks in large part to your channel. Something about your videos really brings out to the joy in traveling and discovering new places, as well as just rolling with the unexpected punches. Thank you for your great and inspiring content!
I love London. As an avgeek and public transport geek London has much to offer aside from the other attractions. They have a transport museum and tours of abandoned underground stations and really cool stuff. Come to think of it airlines are public transport too 😁. I’m also very intrested in going to Minnesota since there is a strong connection between sweden 🇸🇪 where I’m from, and Minnesota. There are a lot of Swedish heritage and traditions there from the almost 1 million immigrants coming to America between ca 1880-1910. Also I stunned upon a video about American Swedish. A dialect of Swedish only spoken in America and sadly it’s dying since not many people speak it anymore.
I absolutely loved this video. The interaction between you and your crew colleagues is great, and shows a sense of fun in a serious office environment. The helicopter tour was amazing. Hell, I’m a Brit, but never done that…. Awesome job Paul, well done.
Another great video Paul. It’s amazing how close NY is to London. For us in Australia it would take almost a full day to get to. I can’t wait to see your next trip.
What a great video. We have many flights going high over us in East Yorkshire (UK) to North America always found aviation fascinating. Thank you for bringing it to us.
Absolutely the best video, thank you so much for showing us London. You are such an awesome pilot,I would love to ride on one of United ✈️ flights take care!
I love flying like that over B or europes equivalent of a class bravo. PHX has a VFR N/S transition that ive flown over. So funny being a C-172 flying above and next to departures and arrivals in pretty crowded airspace.
That was awesome! I really love it when I see people enjoy my city as much as this! I absolutely loved the helicopter tour, I need to that, I felt so emotional seeing the city like this. Thank you for sharing!
This video popped up on my you tube as I follow some other aviation vloggers including flying with big ern. Just wanted to say how very much I enjoyed it. Especially loved the lack of ego from all of you - I only realised at the end you are a captain! If I ever fly stateside in future, I’d definitely look at United - I’ve never been impressed by American carriers before. Oh and liked and subscribed.
I don’t usually comment but just wanted to say I really enjoyed this video. The video from the helicopter was amazing and your FO briefly believing it was the Eiffel Tower made me laugh. Thank you.
Americans believe that was the eiffel tower 😂😂
Messing with young co-pilots never gets old! 😅😅😅 Awesome heli tour!
I had the pleasure to meet and greet Paul on his way back to Newark. He was “my” pilot and I was able to have a quick chat with him after landing. Another great video.
Yup Lucky You👍He seems like a Great Person as Well as a Great Pilot🥰

Its not necessarily that its junior; its just that theres such a huge shortage of pilots.
It’s not as junior as the 787. 🤷🏼♂️
@@mylayoverlifeas a 17 year old who is studying hard in order to become an airline pilot with a 777/787 type rating that’s good to hear

Guessing you're in the US? Will be a lot more than a couple years but I wish you all the best. Safe flying.
same here, but it will be more then a couple yearw

The stacks coming into Heathrow are pretty awesome to watch and follow.
You and SteveO are by far my favorite UA-cam channels. Keep it up, I love watching!
Wow, thanks!
I learnt to marshall helicopters in front of those hangars at Wycombe when I was in the Air Cadets back in the 90s. Great memories.
Hi it’s Paul from Kent seen your channel for the first time what a wonderful channel love the helicopter over London and Heathrow truly amazing keep up the great work you are doing. Paul
Oh my goodness what an awesome video...very exciting.
I’m working my way to the airlines and getting to that 1500 hour mark can be a grind sometimes. Your videos always act as a bit of motivation. I’m really looking forward to my own layover adventures.
Check out flyingwithbigern he is great motivation also for inspiring pilots.
Me too man!
A brilliant channel and content! My son is 7 and loves everything to do with planes / aviation so it’s a big hit with him too! 😊
Incredibly good content, Captain. The pilot in me is fascinated by this bird’s eye view of London. Cheers 🥂
Welcome back Paul and thank you again for letting me tag along on another adventure. I love your videos. God bless
I just adore your posts! Your energy is palpable. Please keep on doing what you’re doing. Thanks Chris!
Amazing layover thanks !!! I noticed the different trajectories between helicopters and airplanes ✈️ 😊

I watched this video 3-4 times already and I wish I could "Like" more than once! What a fun video! Thank you, Captain Paul!
Watching your videos is easily one of the best parts of my leisure time.
As a dedicated United passenger I adore these videos. As a Londoner, I love that you know crystal palace. Thanks for sharing!!
“Tom Cruise who?” 😂😂 My favorite part about being an aviation professional is that there are times where we can get as giddy as a 5 year old doing something special. Wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Agreed! There is definitely a “Peter Pan / Never fully growing up” element to the job…
Landing into Heathrow you always go into a holding pattern, one plane landing every minute very busy! Another cool video and glad to see you visiting the U.K.!

What a great experience. And I had forgotten the bridge was by Lake Havasu. Thanks for sharing this trip.
Brilliant video of your time in the London area. Feel good content at its finest
Holy heck what an awesome video! Absolutely loved this one! Your heli friend and the youngsters in the crew were quite fun!
All of your videos make me smile. I just love what you share with us.
Great video! It's nice to watch someone enjoy the life they have created.
One of your coolest videos yet! So happy that you got to experience that!
Hi Capt Paul👋🏼What an awesome video! Expertly filmed and edited! Voiceover at the end was particularly endearing! Bravo! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

That was so awesome! Thank you for giving us a view of things we will never be able to see on our won, but can enjoy through your lens
Thanks for the tip Paul! Garden at 120 looks just right for me!
Outstanding content Captain. Thank you. London is one of my favorite cities.
Awesome video!! As Aviate students we fly in and out of KHII all the time. Keep up the good work and see you in the flight deck one day!!
Great video. Your crew were delightful. Wondered if something was up as this was your first video for awhile.
Awesome video Paul. You have such a blessed life. 🙏🏻
Production getting better and better every video! Keep up the great work!
Wow like always Great Video
One of my favourite vlogs of yours! Thanks for posting it.
I appreciated your thoughts at the end. I have never seen a pilot say goodbye to passengers. Very nice to do that! Loved your helicopter ride!!
Fantastic video,absolutely loved it x

Your channel gave me the motivation to start flight school last year, long road ahead but i'll get there!
Look forward to each and every trip. Thanks for the ride. ❤❤
My favourite so far. I was born near London and you guys have had far more fun there than I have!!

Great video man and great people you get to work with! Thanks for the motivation currently studying for my commercial EOC
The king of closing statements! Always such a great end to your videos, Paul.
