Another, more generous to their tummy , way ( the way I did it to my french bull dog who looked like a boston terrier ) was canned dog food, ( in my particular case was Livelong ) and a portion of rice with different vegetables , and in between meats treats ( cookies, bacon ) and in 2 weeks he gained almost 4 pounds

Just boil chicken and ground beef and dont drain the fat you can add oatmeal to the mix and goats milk if you want or add rice . I cook big pot of rice and chicken then I make extra And mix it all together yummy lol... And give it to my 2 German shephards couple times a week they have very active dogs so they need it and cooked eggs is good to mix in

Will this work on a full grown husky. I get it she wants to chase deer and squirrels whenever she sees them, but id prefer her to just bark or woof instead of tearing up anything near a window. Shes about 65lbs now and pure lean killing machine at 2 years old, could this possibly double her weight over the next year?

Olive oil is a difficult ingredient for dogs to digest. Coconut oil or bacon fat would be a better choice.

NO.. Pork is Bad for dogs as a raw product... Worse if cooked as the fats are rendered. It actually stops some of the of minerals and nutrients from metabolizing in the bod as it coats the gut with the grease. Same goes for Olive oils. Any oil really. Butter margarine ect....Use sparingly.

Hi people please do not feed your dog dry dog food and raw meat at the same time ! They digest at different times and can really upset the tummy! Aslo if your dog has never eaten Raw meat this will again really upset his/her tummy! Please if you need to put weight on your dog get him wormed and vet checked first then slowely change your diet on to RAW or a high quality Grain free Dry avoid cereals and anything thats Flavoured! make sure it has either oats or rice only and a has higher than 20% pure meat not derivatives and whole veg AVOID bakers, pedigree, wagg, adn anything that looks good to you or is colourful it is usually really bad hope this helps !

Ive used peanut butter with dog kibble and they put on weight fast. Be careful because they can get too big.

I feed my dogs one can of pedigree chopped stuff, various flavors, per day. I keep dry food down for them 24/7 (which they never touch) and a few pieces of Aldi's Bologna every day as a treat. I don't give them store bought dog treats because your average business owner in any capacity, in any nation, is a scumbag trying to make as much profit as he can , and putting whatever's cheapest in his product. Especially any of the dollar store stuff. my vet has always said my dobermans look great, and i keep them a tad overweight because it gets cold as hell where i live and they need the extra blubber. so i guess for $1.19 per pack, bologna is cheaper than poison dog treats and it works for them keeping weight on. And they LOVE it! I also feed them a bland meal every now and again just to switch things up.

My dog just became blind and she's 14yrs. She sticks her nose up at her pedigree dog food mixed with can food and warm water.
I started boiling her rice mixed with chicken, and she eats it but won't eat anything else. She loves hawiian sweet rolls, and constantly wants them.
I'm running out of ideas. I tried to give her rice with cheese and dog food at the bottom. She smells dog food and says NOPE.
I need some better ideas. I'm not giving her raw meat. She is healthy but very depressed for almost a month since becoming blind. I've been very sick, and my husband just had triple bypass, so we're ordering groceries from Walmart. We live in the country, so Walmart is my only go-to.

Another way you can fatten up your dog quickly, is to give them your leftovers everyday until you see a difference, then stop. Make sure you don't overdo it, or you'll end up with a fat dog. Also do your research and make sure the foods are dog safe, most should be. if google says to not feed because that's fattening, well that exactly what we want so just feed it anyway. I did this and my 5 month old French Bulldog threw up a couple hours after and had diarrhea for 2 days. She was crying scared throwing up and bloated. NEVER AGAIN!

i have a very old dog. Depending on dog you will need to feed around 25-28 calories per pound ideal body weight. You also need to feed at least 1 gram protein per pound ideal weight. Use a topper or supplement to be sure all minerals and vitamins are there. Do not use ground egg or bone as this can compact a small dog. I cook batches of ground pork, ground turkey and beef liver and freeze it flat in quart freezer bags. He is 15 and excited at meal time. I do not add veggies and fruit because dogs do not really eat this in the wild although they can be omnivores they prefer to be carnivores Younger dogs need at least 30-36 cals per pound

That much Olive oil is a true hazard to your dog. Dogs shouldn't have that much of any oil at one time because it can upset their stomach or cause vomiting. Also, adding raw meat to dry kibble can also upset the stomach because they don't digest in the same way. And is anyone gonna talk about the fact that Olive Oil is good for helping dogs LOSE weight, not gain it?

never do kibble, there is no such a thing as high quality kibble. no matter how high quality it is, it's a kibble. it's the same when you talk about high quality fast food. the truth is, it's all bad. frozen raw or dehydrated freezed dried, if it's not an option for you, then you can cook for your dog. otherwise why bother owning a dog when you are not willing to do the best for their health (extra time to prepare raw or cook for your dog). save some money and you can buy fancy things for you or traveling rather than getting a dog just to fulfill your happiness because you want a pet but not considering about the dogs happiness and health.
