As a local Vietnamese currently living abroad, I'd say all the food places that Julia went to are pretty legit, especially the Banh mi, Banh xeo, and the family-style meal restaurant. Your video makes me miss the taste of those dishes 😭Thanks for the video, it could be a short travel guide when you're in HCMC.
I've been away from Vietnam for 10 years, I love watching this type of vlog, it reminds me how beautiful hcm city is, and I almost forget how everything looks like. Thanks for sharing
The food in all of these travel vlogs has looked sooooo good! I always get hungry when I watch your videos 😆 I have lots of new foods to try out! Thanks for taking us along with you, Julia!
I love that you're connecting back with roots! I still have to go back to Laos with my mom but until then I'm too scared to go without her LOL. banh canh and bun rieu is my absolute favorite vietnamese soup dishes. It's so exciting seeing you explore Vietnam!
It's my dream to try Asian food, it looks really good, especially street food. Who knows one day! The video is very cool, Julia! Thanks for showing us.
Hi, Julia! Love your channel and am enjoying getting to experience Vietnam with you. So sorry about your grandfather. I have a small request, though: can you make your captions last a little longer, please? I'm so excited about the scenes that if I don't look quickly enough I miss the captions and have to rewind numerous times to catch them. Have a safe journey!
I totally understand the cockroach thing lol. I had one fall on my face once. (thank God my mouth was closed!) It was 10 years ago and I’m still traumatized 😂
Are you Vietnamese? If so your like me. I can understand most but can only speak in broken incomplete sentences in Tieng Viet lol. - Vietnamese guy from Canada
Yea maybe I need to try it in variations! I feel like it wasn’t too bad last time I tried it in pastry form?? Idk what happened this time around though 😂
You quite look like Jang Wonyoung, I'm learning vietnamese right now, it isn't too hard because I know Mandarin! It's so I can talk with friends at school
I’ve never been to Hanoi but I’ve heard there’s a lot of stuff to do around there (like ha long bay, sapa). I’m biased though so def come to Ho Chi Minh City 😂
Welp, I guess you had to amputate your foot after something crawled up it, terribly sorry for you (and I don't think you were being dramatic at all - that'd freak me out completely too). There's a place where I live that sells crispy imperial rolls - they are so good!

This is the validation that I needed 😂 thank you for watching and I hope you get to visit home and taste all the yummy food soon 💗

Vietnam is beautiful and the food looks delicious! 😊❤️
Hope to be back soon! ❤
I heard Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese and English... Now I am confused...
I would've cried if a cockroach crawled on me. Definitely not dramatic enough, Julia!
ugh thank you for understanding 😭 I feel so seen 😂
I really love your vlogs ! My sister and I were in Vietnam at the same time as you. That was definitely my best trip so far ! 🥰
Vietnamese durian… Yum! ❤❤❤❤
I guess it tastes different for everyone… 🥴😂 but I respect it!!

I'm from Hawaii and that reaction to the cockroach is valid. Had one flying around my room one night and it legit sounded like a bird 🤢😂
Thank you for the very nice video about Ho Chi Minh City 👍
Thank you for watching 😊
I learned to not watch your Asia vlogs when I was hungry 😂 Great video as always

I miss bahn mi so much...
Me too 😭😭😭
I love your vlogs😊 what camera do you use, your videos are so clear😍
For this vlog, I used a mixture of tools! Sony zv1, DJI pocket 3, and my iPhone 15 pro 😊
Lol this video is amazing Julia! Your mom's friend's reaction is hilarious, I get the same for not being able to speak well when I go back too
Cant believe you actually speak both Chinese and Viett

Wow food looks amazing!
Delicious foods and easy to eat.
I love these vids! What month did you go to Vietnam? Visiting soon for the first time as an adult and just wanted to know for weather purposes!
I went for Christmas so late December until early January! It was hot but not a single rainy day in HCMC! It did rain quite a lot in Da Nang though
Omg 我是你的越南粉丝❤😂 我在广州看你吃越南美食受不了了想马上回家 哈哈
Love your vlog, happy to see you again

Hi Julia! Have you ever thought about having your own website?
Chia sẻ của bạn rất bổ ích. Mình rất thích video của bạn. Mong sẽ nhận nhiều video hay trong tương lai, chúc kênh mình ngày càng phát triển ❤❤❤
6:32 Locals in Vietnam taught always soup first to honour the hard work that went into cooking g the broth 🇻🇳
Hii can I ask what editing app do you use to edit your videos?!
You are not a drama Queen I would have done the exact same thing!!!
😭 After that incident I kept looking down while walking, scanning for bugs that could potentially attack me 😂
was that viet music you used in this? it sounds good! what's the song?
It’s linked in the bio! Song is Baby I’m Good by Kim Chi Sun 😊
Thanks good taste!@@juliafei

Hi Julia! Which would you recommend between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh for a first-timer in Vietnam?
I’ve never been to Hanoi but I’ve heard there’s a lot of stuff to do around there (like ha long bay, sapa). I’m biased though so def come to Ho Chi Minh City 😂

No amputation but def a very long and hot shower 😂 rewatching that clip still gives me the ick 🤢
Tuyệt vời 👍
I knw many love Durian, but so sorry the smell is not for me 😂
Don't you have roaches in NY??
We do but they’re scared of us?? They would scurry if they see a human but I feel like birds & roaches in Vietnam are unfazed 😂
Name of the hotel please ?
Peninsula Hotel Danang (pretty affordable & nice but is different from The Peninsula Hotel Chain 😂)
Balloons?
Anh yue em Vietnam 🇻🇳,hahaha I’m not a fan of durian 😅
Gooda foods#khimg
yo you should learn some Vietnamese lol.... I'm a Korean American person and I learned Viet while living there for a couple years....
Do you understand? No. Story of my LIFE🥲
