Best CGI ever. Those close up scenes look so damned real
Andy Serkis is a fkn legend!
Andy Serkis is a genius. So sad most of the people don't even know his name and that he is behind amazing performances in motion capture...
6:34 Holy crap that was scary af !
IKR, Andy gave me a f*****g heart attack! Lol.
Why did he scream “ KOBA “ ?
@@milamattina1864 the scene in the movie is him getting flashbacks or some sort of ptsd, he saw koba, he regretted his actions
Give Andy Serkis an Oscar!

I was lucky to get an advanced screening to WFTPOTA a week ago, and to say I love it was an understatement. It's an emotional rollercoaster all-round, and it's now official that Planet of the Apes rebooted trilogy is one of the best movie trilogies ever!
I agree. The first one was a bit weak, but the two follow-ups have been amazing. Fantastic examples of great characters and visual storytelling.
Woody did a great job and it was a freaking amazing movie, the best of 2017 so far.
I have to say, when I saw the movie and Bad Ape came on screen, I started thinking "oh no, here's Jar Jar", but he totally won me over. It's a very emotional and grim movie, so you wouldn't think that a comic relief character like that would work, but I have to hand it to them, they totally pulled it off.
6:35 - I would have jumped if I were there when Andy let out that loud yell. It wouldn't matter if I knew it was coming.
This is fantastic film-making 101. Matt Reeves is such a good director.
I want to see these bloopers fully animated. I want to see Andy popping out of character with the full CGI makeup on
MYYYYY FUCKING EARSSSSS

The end made me cry alot :(
And how the hell has Andy Serkis not got an oscar for mo-cap yet
3:10 i love how professional they are, they don't even laugh at humans making ape noises
Did he say Koba at 6:34?! :O
damn, he's alive. i read this comment like "no shit he said koba". and then everything clicked together. fuck. spoiler alert lmao
Sounded like it but I hope they don't bring him back. I wonder if he named somebody after him or he is yelling at somebody for being like Koba
Had my volume way up and that part scared the shit out of me XD
Cinedragon same
i believe the director did say that koba will not be in the movie but will haunt the dreams of Ceaser
When Maurice and the girl were dancing someone said "it's gonna be a long long night"😭😭😭
RelayReview they were saying the lyrics to Rocket Man by Elton John
How true Andy , how would we react if this was a reality, once again it would be shoot first . Lessons are given to us in many forms , its how we deal with them that will determine our very future. Really looking forward to this film , over the three we have been taken on that journey and Caeser has grown , and all down to the scrip and Andy's special understanding. Love to keep this franchise going .
i really love this movie
What a tough movie to make, great job! Loved watching it!
Some actors are good actors especially when playing crazy roles because they themselves struggle with their own mental instability. Woody Harrelson I believe is one of these actors. Mel Gibson is another. I can keep naming them. I believe he makes up a fifth form of acting. In acting there is always four forms you take. Stage acting also known as classical, relative, character and method.
Classical deals allot with people who work on stage. There are rules on stage that you HAVE to follow or you will suck! the rules are kinda optional on film. It relies on placement and OVER dramatization so people in the way back of the audience can understand your emotion. On film it can catch ever settle facial expression. Thats why old movies seem cheesy because it looks like they are over acting when it is actually just stage acting on film. However this stage acting when guided by a good director and script can be amazing. Just look at stage actors like Morgan Freeman. I can name others that started out on stage. But stage is a great place to start for actors. Its where you learn the three Ps of acting projection, pronunciation, and placement. You also learn a great deal of expression.
Relative Acting became famous in the late 60s and 70s. Its a better quality of acting on film and most actors use this form. It basically puts yourself in the position of the character. Or where you RELATE to the character. You help find a common ground between you and the character so that it can help bring your own emotion and expression. It becomes more REAL to the actor and therefore more REAL and less dramatic form of acting. However the problem with this form is that without a good director and script actors who use this form get caught up in playing the same character in every film. A character that is basically them. Robert De Niro for instance or Tom Cruise or Mark Whalberg etc... Not that they haven't had great movies.
Character acting is very similar to method acting except it doesn't take it to the extreme. Great character actors are people like Gary Oldman and Andy Serkis. These guys use their experience of stage acting and the mindset of relative acting while doing something the other actors hardly ever do. Put in intense time in developing the character. They create back stories not in script, they study everything about the character, they practice day in night. They probably practiced hard to get the part only to start character development before pre-production. Then in Pre-production and production they are looking for ways to develop the character more. They are my favorite types of actors. The sad thing about these actors is because they often play outlandish characters or fictional characters they don't get recognized or awarded even if their performances are the best the industry has seen.
Method acting along with relative and stage get awarded the most. Method however doesn't get that much recognition as one thinks. Because only a few can pull it off and lets be honest every actor has tried it at least once. Method is the same as character acting except the mindset is that they BECOME that character. during pre-production method acting goes to the extreme during study and practice to be that character. Learning new skills, locking themselves into rooms for hours, even going to the point of physically deforming or harming themselves. Then during production only wanting to be referred to as the character. To the point of harming their mental state. Actors such as Daniel Day Lewis and Health Ledger. The problem with this form is that they can have a break in their mental state which can harm their career or go all out on a character that was never going to succeed because of a bad director or script. When done unsuccessfully method acting can seem like the most over the top and outlandish performances. Its allot of work for a major risk. Every actor has tried it and only a few succeed. BTW I don't believe doing your own stunts qualifies you as a method actor. Being fit for a role and doing stunts does give you respect but it doesn't mean you are literally BECOMING the character you play. Sorry Tom Cruise :/
So back to Woody. I believe Woody is a mixture of relative and method. I truly believe he puts in the work even to the point of becoming unstable. But I do believe he stays Woody and tries to relate to the character. Honestly I think the fifth form that I discovered would be that sociopathic relativity. When actors that are honestly sociopaths find characters they relate to then methodically dive into that character, helping it come alive through their own problems. This is why to me Woody does his best when playing characters that have deeply rooted psychological problems. So there you have it :)
Such a long comment I barely read half of it 😂
Well at least you made it half way through. :')
I just learned something new about acting. Thanks
Michael Chase thanks 😃
Method is a discovery tool, not a way of working in external preparation.
Any good actor is a Relative Actor. Whether they alter themselves externally (character) or train Lee Strasberg's Method is beside the point. These definitions are absolutely not exclusive but at the same time have no relation to each other.
Woody Harrelson is not a method actor. He's a terrific actor, yet is not externally chameleonic, so no way is he a "character".
Your fifth form is just an actor with alot of deep issues. It is not a style of working nor a merit to their performance.
Omg those people really worked hard in this movie. All of those actions are real and tired.
Is that Gregg Heffley's dad I see?🤔😑😯
Kaiden Clements ...sure is I really like him as an actor
Kaiden Clements where?
Darkness Knight Hood He played 'Bad Ape'
Wait. Why is the human girl wearing a mo-cap suit?
because she got two roles..she was Nova (human girl) and Cornelius (caesar's son)
The scene where he shouts KOBA wasn't in the film :(
This amazing.
this is such a great movie
ติดตามทุกภาคของ planet of the apes ชอบมาก
ชอบความทุ่มเท ชอบในรายละเอียดการถ่ายทำทุกอย่าง
ยิ่งดูเบื้องหลังยิ่งชอบมากๆ
I just want a 10 minute extended scene of Andy doing the face at 6:31
Dude I'm gonna cry this is amazing this is what I want to do for a living make movies direct animate omfg 😭
Best movie ever
12:52 You can definitely tell he is still in character. Trying to justify the characters horrific actions in a good way.
This film s brilliant!
Good movie, good production
In the first movie you can tell the apes were CGI but in the last two movies the apes looked so real you would think is that a costume?
just wow movie
fantastic film great actors and I'm really sad the story of ceasar has come to an end.
Woody was so humble and true in his opinion of Serkis
KOBAAA
I'm curious. How do actors avoid get wounded by those explosions on the set?
2:20... this looks a set for Arkham City in Batman 😍😍😍
HOLY SHIT *_*
Real Guns?
These aren't bloopers. The movie was awesome though! I loved it.
The bits In the forest and beaches was pretty sure filmed in nz
Are they going to make another movie???
wow
What have the director or dp in the minute 5:15 , it's like a zone detector or what is the name of that?
I want to see this movie but I can't decide if Apes, or Spider-Man
See both:)
Honestly their both good but i can't tell which one was better. I saw them less than 24 hours apart but they are too different to compare.
I saw both today in the same day. Spiderman is definitely the best spiderman movie by a mile. Apes is an amazing work of art. See both, no need to have to choose.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
its crazy how you look at the set and it looks so empty, really requires a lot of imagination from the actors. Also i can't believe maurice is a women!! :o
H T The quintessence of acting is pretending, it's make-believe
H T the actress is a woman, but the character is a Male orangutan
What was the location of the beach?
I can't believe it that
Why is Nova in Mo Cap outfit?
Pause at 0:15. Ty Olsson as Red.
The fact that they used blanks instead of VFX for gun fires
Gollum love precious, more than Master!
Im sooo sad Ceasar died and the upcoming films will never be the same without Ceasar :(
He could appear in flashbacks or as a ghost/hallucination
PLZ DO PLANETS OF APES 4 PLZ
I'd love to see a cut of the movie without any mo cap
Ye that would have been great bonus feature for Blu-ray :D....if there ever was another release, I would definitely buy that.....also I was kind of disappointed to find out that there was only commentary from director Matt Reeves....I love re-watching movies with commentaries, so I would have really liked to have some of the cast there as well as even the composer Michael Giacchino there, but no :(
Man, even nova was cg
The second movie was good but doesn't beat the first one
Wait where are the apes?
Chow mano tamo junto
I watched this movie today :D
Very sad ending. Caesar dies.
I love bad ape though 😊
The next movie might be based on ceaser's son and if so Andy serkis better play him
where is two and three😂
Why do they have those dots on their face
Macha Constant really
Macha Constant my grandparents thought they were dressed in costumes
the hardest thing actually, to play a role on 100%, which is not even a human.
