Quick side note - is the low coolant warning because of a bad sensor, or like my ‘06 Sport HSE, just a saturated old coolant float that doesn’t rise with the coolant level? I thought it was the sensor, too. Also - just drove my Sport from LA to Philly in June. No issues, over 20 mpg average, and I’m at 198k. When they’re looked after they’re better than people think.
between the 4.4 jaguar petrol v8 that came out from 2006-2009 and this 4.2 supercharged v8 that also came out in the same period, which engine would you recommend? and does this supercharged engine also suffer from the same timing chain issues that the early 5.0 supercharged v8's suffered from or is it more reliable provided you keep up with genuine parts service and maintenance?
Happy Holidays, I’m a little late to the party but our similarities are uncanny, lol. We too had a LR3, currently own both a 100 series Toyota and a 08 L322 4.4 gas Lux. We also buy and drive a few different cars/trucks and we’ve been looking for a clean rust free (we live in Maine) post facelift jag 4.4 for a little while; just picked up the 08 Dec 11th. Funny you mention both the little shift flare (which I also momentarily noticed) and the cigarette lighter not working; did you figure that last one out? I bought a Gap IID tool from lucky 8 so I’ll be head deep into resetting/verifying suspension heights, resetting the TCM after service, baselining a touch of deferred maintenance and giving the Rover a thorough go over when I get home from my current work trip. Did you figure out the R/T on the wheel, I’m sure it doesn’t stand for Road/Track…. Of note I’m not sure if in the 1st part of the video that the OBS Ford F-250 with the winch bumper was yours or the BMW but I buy and sell OBS Fords and have been known as a bit of a E21/E28/E39 guy, comical if those are yours to! Anyway, have a Merry Christmas!
Im thinking of buying this same exact one with 92k, but has a mildly leaking head gasket from overheating it a few times but its in almost new condition. Whats your thoughts on me getting this? Is it worth it?
@@AddictedMotors really? Its such a beautiful ride, how you liking it so far? I work for a auto repair company, this customer just doesnt have the funds to repair it and offering to sell it for like 1300 bucks interior is all black prestine condition
As a german I just want to thank you for being in the right lane as much as possible

Nice! I just bought an '08 L322 Supercharged, and I love it.
I got the same car and i live in Kentucky drove it to keywest for vacation not a single complaint from me in that car
Love the truck. Looking to buy one in Oct. Thanks for the videos as this gives us a look into ownership. 1st time posting BTW
Thanks for watching!
This stuff is awesome. Keep it coming
Um i have taken mine over 1000 miles multiple times, I have an 08 too i think they were built with better quality
Nice job with the video. I love the truck. I think you got a good one there. Did you make it back home safe and sound?
Sure did. No other issues to report.

No chains issues with the 4.2 - So far I’d say it’s the superior motor. I stay away from the 5.0s
Any 10-12 L322 timing chain issues or noteworthy items? I really want one of these and I like the digital dash.
Never a doubt! I need to do this with mine and see how much mileage I can get.
How does a 2008 HSE V8 compare to a 2008 HSE supercharged? The supercharged version is hard to find, worth settling for the naturally aspirated?
I think the SC has the upper hand. Do the cooling hoses under the SC and you should be good!
Time lapse music and all!👍👍
900 miles.....thats like......1500 kilometres? not bad..........for a range rover
It gets that mileage with gas!?
Yes
Whats your opinion on the 2012 - 2015 evoques?
Overpriced
19mpg what the heck! My D3 never gets better than 14-15😆
My D3 is also around 12-15
I would not own an out of warranty JLR product. There are plenty for rent on Turo at cheap prices.
How much money did you put into it to make it run OK since you got it. They scare me sometimes. I'd really love to drive one but not take care of one.
Sounds like L322 life isn’t for you.
Figured it wouldn’t have issues there or even back….. The straight pipped RRC things might have been a lil different . 👍🏼
are you a dealer? i think only dealers are allowed to buy at auctions.
Can I buy this Range from you?!

Yup. Both are mine! Thanks for watching! I never really looked into the lighter since the one in the console does work.
Daft question, but is that imperial MPG or U.S. MPG?

Many videos on this topic.
I was gonna find the coolant leak, fix it and then BDVIL it, what you think?
I mean I would. Might get $$ down the road.
Damn good video
What radar detector do you have?

@@ryanv3551 great so far!
Try the TDV8 diesel L322 lot better on fuel
Wish we had it.
@@AddictedMotors try watching “It’s Joel” he did 730 miles on one tank of fuel in a TDV8 Range Rover
This is America we think diesel is a sin
@@zakksrage maybe you’re wrong, Diesel engines do half a million miles without much difficulty and go twice as far on a gallon of fuel than a petrol.
@@keithvers569 no I’m saying our government doesn’t like them. As we don’t have many production small vehicles that are diesel
Thanks for the nap
