  • We are now seeing lots of leaked Mike Tyson training footage on social media, and most people will think that Iron Mike still has the knockout power in his punches. In reality, it is easy to make short training clips doing great on the mitts and on the heavy bag. Mike Tyson could be in trouble with his fight against Jake Paul if he got hit by a Knockout punch, as boxers grow older, they lose their punch resistance.

The main problem with this fight is that someone is basically considering the possibility that a young guy could punch an old guy. It doesn't matter if it's in the ring or on the street! It's basically immoral! Mike Tyson is 58 years old, he is an old man, no matter how he tries to make himself younger, 50 years old is an age that deserves respect! No one can beat up old people! It's fundamentally immoral, it violates the principles of society!

But it is in fact a possibility this match is already payed for Jake to come on top. After all maybe in Tyson's eyes, more money wouldn't be a bad thing. This to me does not change Tyson's legacy!

Because Tyson is not only an ex-pro athlete. Tyson is like a brand. If people are talking about Tyson, they all have that image, the connection to that beast who he was.. most people remember his prime when no one could stand against him. The younger people also have just heard how he was on top. But very few remember how often he lost or against who.. So there is more behind the name Mike Tyson. Symbolically undefeated. For jake paul would be a draw an honor. Mike could show that he still has it and is able to be with a 30years younger guy in the ring. IMO it would be a win-win for both..
Imagine if Jake would win.. it would be statistical a loss for Mike.. something what he wanted to avoid back when he was active. And Jake would brag about it that he has beaten "The Mike Tyson" 🙄

I came up with one where he just whiffs a combination of hooks and uppercuts over Paul's head while Paul expertly ducks and jukes each one until Tyson overextends, spins, winds his ankles together and trips over them, his short drop to his ankles as he doubles over and faceplants knocking himself out and exposing himself wearing nothing but a jockstrap face down raised up posterior, full starfish and tacklebox on display for the whole world to see on netflix before they cut the feed in a panic.

Mike will loose and probably get knocked out when he is exhausted after a few minutes.
People do not understand the difference age makes for a fighter.. everything is a shadow of what it used to be, even down to little things like how effective his body is at losing heat or eye sight.
Look at roy jones vs tyson, two old and slow man having trouble breathing for a few rounds. Thats what you can expect, tyson will be an old man with good technique for a few seconds till he gasses out.
Jake paul however, could go the distance at a steady ( although lower quality then mike first seconds ) performance. But tyson will quickly become a below average fighter just like in his exhibition match.
People have always over estimated him, he is special and one of my favorites but he is not going to win anything but severe brain damage.

I grew up having Iron Mike as those in the 60's and 70's would be looking at Ali. I remember Cheering on Bruno while they fought but then the way Tyson fought was just savage. From that point, you just watched every fight you could with Tyson in it. He's one of those fighters you love because he's just unleashed passion and fury, every match you're waiting for him to just let it out. I'm really surprised about this match up but there's also part of me that really does want Mike to stop JP because I don't respect what JP has done for the sport. You respect the fact that not all great fighters make it as pro boxers, so many kids that love it and would love to make a life doing it and I think what JP has done is mock those that have had their dreams dashed over the years. The biggest thing in mike tysons corner aside from his power is it still looks like mike has the HUNGER and that might make up for the age difference, something else ive seen through older martial artists is they start getting more cleaver in order to make up for the decrease in speed and reaction time

If they wanted to test the power they would probably have him slam it on a pad that counts the impact force. To me the cables look like they want to see muscle recruitment which is used for programming hypertrophy which would not make a whole lot of sense for a fight preparation so who knows lol

I only hope the walking stick pics are to lull a potential opponent into a false sense of security. I don't think Mike is stupid enough to get in the ring out of shape, unless he's broke and has nothing left to lose. Good video.

George Foreman, aged 40 was laughed at until he became the world champion again. George said the 40-year-old him would beat the 20-year-old him. He fought former and current world heavyweights, and everyone was surprised. Jake, Paul is not a former heavyweight anything. I pray Mike doesn’t hurt him too badly.

Bro at 55, I'm in better shape than I was in my 20's because of time and knowledge but at the end of the day, most 20 year old's in halfway decent shape will hand me my ass. That high testosterone, newer muscle and joint tissue, newer nervous system, the list goes on.

the thing is, these are clips, for a minute he might be very dangerous and powerful, but i have a bad feeling he gets tired very quickly and what are the rules of the fight still uknown?

Yeah when he was against Roy Jones Jr he had short bursts of speed and ferocity but then he would need a decent while to recover and now that he's older I don't think the stamina problem has gotten any better

  • @antimatta8714

Even though it's in short bursts, the power, footwork, and speed is still impressive for a man of his age, he does look drastically different in that footage of him walking around with a walking stick, and I've also heard him mention that he has terrible foot pain on his podcast. But I'm sure even after years of wear and tear of being a professional athlete, he could still muster up another great performance. While it would be terrible if Tyson was remembered as the guy that got knocked out by a UA-camr, I can't see it happening due to Tyson's experience and skills as a fighter.

the thing that stood out to me is mike being on life support all the time in his little training and the fact its only short videos which don't show his main weakness of old age and less stamina and not a single real sparing video

    • @ekaterinastaneva9922
      @ekaterinastaneva9922 2 місяці тому

As if sparing footage from a fight camp means something. Obviously you will release a vid where someone is taking a dive to look good. He is in fantastic shape for his age and just needs to put a little show on to get a big payday, that's all
