@christianmagno984 there's no part 2 as I'm out of the UK and 1/2 way back to freedom Chris, where are you in the world? Are you in Madagascar or on the way soon ?
I live in the US and it's not quite as bad but definitely headed in that direction. The UK is usually a few years ahead of us when it comes to new laws and changes. Luckily we still have cash but I know that will be a thing of the past soon. The best thing westerners can do is to move to underdeveloped countries. My dad was born in Mexico and I just applied and got my Mexican citizenship so I can get the heck out of here when the time comes. Western countries are good to make money but that's it. Better quality of life elsewhere.
One major drawback for me as a traveler is hitchhiking doesn't seem to exist in England, dunno what it is, but people seem to be very distrustful/afraid of giving somebody a ride.
You’re not having a whinge Mate , you’re just calling it as it is . And yes you have been out of the Country for a long time so rules and regulations have passed you by and the Cost of Living as well . Australia is the same with the roads , cameras etc , our Car registration per year (your disc) is on average £400 to 420 per year . Average cost of a house here is £375,000 , average rent price for a house per week is £280.00 . We have a housing and rental crisis as well . Super tough for young people , or if you don’t own a home outright . Blue Chip shares is the way to go for Passive Income (dividend payments) as well as increasing wealth .

One country to live one country to invest money and one to play sounds like a good plan but also getting a second passport is a excellent idea
In Leeds a candidate in the last municipal elections celebrates his victory surrounded by Palestinian flags and shouting "ALLAH AKBAR".
