the sleeve circumference is quite generous, probably in the 80s the guys liked to go to the gym while the girls did aerobics, i was too young to wear denim jacket in the 80s but in my teenage days in the 90s I never liked denim jacket because of the same reason they have huge sleeve and droopy shoulder, only in the recent raw denim awakening 2000s I got my 1st denim jacket that I like slim on the body and sleeve so I can wear it as mid layer under leather jacket as well, but I can see the easy wearing and perhaps a utilitarian fit made for doing work in it.

Thanks for your comment. Yes I agree the denim jackets of the 2000s are definitely slimmer. I had a black Levi's type 3 which was very tight throughout the arm and shoulder, although it was also longer in the body.

@@Calsdenim yes longer in the body part of the new type3 is something I dislike, i'm pretty skinny on my torso so I buy type3 based on my chest size and hoping for the shortest body possible although the sleeve is usually turns a bit short but for denim jacket I don't mind shortish sleeve since I can wear leather wristband or beads to fill the gap.

Hi man, thanks for the video, the jacket looks amazing on you ! I was wondering if you could tell me your height and the size of the jacket ? That would be helpful so I could represent myself the dimensions :D

I am pretty sure your one started off as a raw denim jacket. and i think it was normal to use lighter tone of indigo at the time. even though under the flap u can see darker shades of indigo it would have been originally darker than that since im sure it's been soaked and washed a few times.

i'm glad the type 3 still have same dimention sleeves. slim sleeves is a turn off for me as it looks too medernised and not acurate to the originals.

man thats a nice jacket you can easily tell it's been made with care compared to what my modern version which is decent but the shape is slightly too modern. your one is how they were originally made except for the hand pockets but you can still see the quality. only way to get something close is to sadly get LVC reproduction which is so badly over priced.

..not true...if you buy more recent Levis LVC, made in Japan or USA, the quality, of the denim (selvedge), colour and finish is more than likely going to be even better than what you wearing here. (which can also be picked up used, although the price may be more than one usually pays for a used 80/90s regular denim Type 3 like this one.)

Hi, you are right! I should have clarified, I was referring to modern Levi's premium. Their standard denim lineup is not on the same league as LVC. I have a couple of LVC and a 90s made in Japan jacket. They are far superior
