Hi Joshua, the next video should peak your interest ;) The Cornish Mainline is beautiful and I would love to visit stations along there especially Starcross and Dawlish. I'll see what I can do later this year :)
Loved this video - at my local WCML station! Just wondering though, how were you able to add TOC logos or other logos (in general) to your text? I'm starting out in adding more better edits and was inspired by yours.
Hi Benji, I'm not exactly sure of the video editor that you use but most advanced editors like Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas can add images with transparent backgrounds (which is what I do). I recommend using DaVinci Resolve if you want a good starting editor (its free!). Thanks for watching.
Great Video 😎👍🏽🇬🇧 Last time I was there Virgin Cross-Country had HST’s working up and down the WCML 😧 Those Voyagers will be gone from Avanti next year..they are being replaced by yet more Hitachi 800 variants 😪🤮 My guess is the 18 x 221’s will end up with Cross-Country so they can “double up” some of their busier NE-SW services when things get back to normal 😀👍🏽
Thanks EJC! What I would give for a Valenta scream in service again. For all the Voyager's flaws, they do sound good (especially at speed). I think a lot of people will also miss the large windows but I think you're right about CrossCountry ending up with them, since they're all owned by Beacon Rail. 😃
@@StarlifeStudios Voyagers do have their critics, me being one of them, but at the end of the day from a business point of view, they are effective and reliable people movers and they do get worked very hard. During normal times, XC has terrible problems with overcrowding on some NE/SW services and Bournemouth-Manchester services so 18 five car units from Avanti next year should help with that 😀👍🏽 However, I do think the entire XC fleet need a complete internal refit. Last time I was on a XC 221 in July 2019, it looked shabby inside, seat covers nearly worn out, carpet was filthy and the toilet area was not very clean. Its a shame the DfT didn’t allow XC to procure more HST’s for the NE/SW axis, get the coaches converted at Wabtec (which could have bern happening over the last quiet 12 months) so when we return to normal, XC could have had 4 or 5 more HST Sets making ten, so they could have run 7 or 8 a day on NE/SW, freeing up more Voyagers to “Double Up” on busy services on the Bournemouth-Manchester and Newcastle-Southampton routes, plus other non HST NE/SW workings..but as usual, never expect anything sensible from the DFT 🤔🤣
Cross Country also need to get a new train to replace the 170s (or just order more so they can double up) in my opinion. Seeing a 2 car train on Cardiff to Birmingham or Stansted to Birmingham hurts my soul. And perhaps they could order some desiros or aventras or even Electrostars. Would be awesome to see electrostars in Birmingham lol
@@LordEverythingtrains I 100% agree, but there may be a chance in 2022/2023 to use 4 or 5 car displaced Meridians on Cardiff to Nottingham and Birmingham- Stansted? EMT will be using 810’s by the end of next year so as an option using 222’s for these services could mean maintenance remaining at Derby which is a great logistical location to run these services from 🤔 So XC could use 220/221/HST for all other services as they do now, and have a dedicated fleet of 222’s to work Cardiff-Nottingham’s and Birmingham-Stansted’s, plus it would not be too much of a problem if a 222 stood in on conventional XC diagrams and a 220 stood in on a Cardiff to Nottingham as they are practically the same train for drivers and crew 😊👍🏽
Hi Samuel, I currently mix them up so that the same lines don't appear twice e.g. West Coast. Generally speaking they broadly follow the order that I film them in. I do eventually get round to everyone's suggestions but some time some are easier than others e.g. Scotland.
@@StarlifeStudios Today, Tuesday 30th March, I got up close to see the first class accommodation part of the Class 745 train at London Liverpool Street. As I said before, I will go to Norwich for a day out. It looks like the Saturday beyond June 21st when all of the restrictions would have been lifted if all four steps are achieved. Regarding this station, I must have past Wigan North Western, when I went to Blackpool for a day out by steam, late 2019, the most recent.

The Class 195 and Class 331 Civity trains that CAF manufactured with no gangway corridor does look really nice. Plus CAF are to manufacture the Class 196 for West Midlands Railway and Class 197 Civity for Transport for Wales. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_195 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_331
They look really nice but are really poor build quality. Several Northern ones have already been withdrawn due to failing Yaw Brackets and the WMR ones are likely to be the same. Both 195 and 331s are affected with 319s and 150s likely to be re-introduced to cover those routes until redesigned and repaired.
