Hi Barb, Just curious to know about percent formula.For example - I have task from Aug18 to Aug19 that is for one day, But when I open this excel on 21st it will keep calculating and keep adding percent to the cell, So how we can avoid that... Hope you understand my question.Start date end date Duration Formula % Answer should be18 Aug 19 Aug 1 =IFERROR((DATEDIF(C11,TODAY(),"D"))/E11,"") 100%If it completes on time within one day else give warning
Appreciated your quick turnaround - I have used this formula and getting True or False as answer but not quite happy with the outcome. So I have sent one mail to easyexcelanswers@gmail.com, Please review and do let me know if you could find any solution..... Thanks a lot in advance for your kind help:)
Thanks for the video, it is really helpful :) I have implemented this into my excel calculation. but the things is if the date of completion has been completed let say 07.10.2019 then this will be 100%. And if I opened again the excel on 08.10.2019 then the completion is become 103%. My question what is the formula to make the completion is still remain 100% not more than that. Thank you in advance :)
Thank you very much! That's just what I need to make my Gantt Chart
Wonderful!
When using this formula more than 100% which wroung please can u tell me why
Start date 19- Jan 20
End date 05 May 20
Duration 90 days
Error (149%)
I want to understand how the % is calculated
the actual days divided by the projected days
May i know how did u calculate the actual %?
=datedif(startdate,today(),"D")/duration
Hi, Barb Henderson. If the start and end are using minutes and second instead of Date, can you help me what formula should I use? Thank you
I will look at that and get back to you
Shirley, I forgot about this video that I have done ua-cam.com/video/tOw8z09vrnk/v-deo.html
@@BarbHendersonconsulting Thank you so much~ :)
Conditional Formating of task1 - > =ABS(%of time complete - actual%)>=0.1 - set a format - red - ok - ok

yes , you can cap it by using =min(A1 ,1). * HERE A1 is the cell having more than 100%. and this formulae will help cap it at 100%.
@@harshavardhanreddy2430 Can you explain more? seems I'm having error. Thanks
=IFERROR((DATEDIF(F9,TODAY(),"D"))/J9,""=MIN(I9,1)) ** This is my formula**
@@mahathiranuar1954 i do it another way. so you can make it the result in new cell(column) next to it with another conditioning formula.
=if(A2
@@mahathiranuar1954 so it keep the value with 100%, then you hide original column cell. solved. 👍
Thankyou so much
You are so welcome!
