My brother, let me enlighten you on the Malaysian government's generosity towards expats through their MM2H program! They've made it incredibly enticing for individuals to relocate or establish ties with Malaysia, starting with their tiered bank deposit requirements. At the Platinum tier, participants must deposit RM5 million (about US$1.05 million). After a year, they can withdraw up to 50% for property purchases (valued at RM1.5 million and above), healthcare, and domestic travel within Malaysia. For the Gold tier, the FD requirement is RM2 million (approximately US$420,800), with similar withdrawal options for property purchases (valued at RM750,000 and above), healthcare, and domestic travel. And even at the Silver tier, with a mere RM500,000 (about US$105,000) in FD, participants enjoy similar withdrawal privileges. So you see, my friend, your argument holds no water in the face of such generous offerings! Therefore 500 British pounds per months is cheap as chips 😉
Malaysian here, I dont think its disrespectful to say 500 pounds is cheap tho. 500 pounds or rm3k in Malaysia for 3-storey corner lot house with gated community really is cheap.
Hi Saira, that is one awesome house for £500 (3000 MYR) a month. I recall that Melaka was hotter than KL when I visited there about 15 years ago. I would like to move out of London and the UK and might have to do it by July if the rent on my flat increases again this year. I could definitely do the 5-year visa where you have to deposit £80K plus in a Malay Bank. Would you be able to upload a video about the process of obtaining a Malaysian bank account and do you need a Malaysia home address to open one? If you haven't already done so, I'd recommend visiting Kota Kinabalu's Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. The islands are stunning and you'll love it. Cheers.
Melaka still hot today. I visited it last month for a day just for eating and sightseeing. I was shocked that in the city area, the temperature can reach up to 38 Celsius on afternoon time 😅😅😅. We ended up going home early to Johor and trapped in a jam at highway for more than 5 hours. So I hoped she would plan her time to travel in here correctly if she wanted to use the Plus highway to Johor for example since she might compete with Singaporeans that's travelling in Malaysia during the weekend

Malaysian here. Just to clarify that Malaysians do not generally have housekeepers. Only the rich or who can actually afford, like families with high paying double incomes. Some hire weekly cleaners. By far the large majority do the housework ourselves. It is not easy to get reliable trustworthy live in maids anyway, typically they are foreigners as locals do not like that kind of work.
Maid in each household used to be common until the late 2000's, though. Even a middle-class family like mine could afford to employ one. I remember almost every kid in my school having maids. These days, ugh. Sad ringgit noises...
Mlysia is not crime free. We hv menace of drug addiction just like some other countries. Never trust anyone. Scammers are also on the rise nowadays..just to let you know sis...wish u all the best
From my observation the drug addiction problem worst in Ipoh… didn’t hear about it or see it in KL, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, other parts of Sabah, or any of the kampungs.
Putrajaya is more convenient , peaceful ....easier to go to klia & kl using MRT..more suitable for family with school going children...nearer to many international schools, colleges & universities
It seem u have chosen Malacca over KL or Penang. it has different vibe but choice can be limited, If u consider Selangor (greater KL area) maybe can search utbe eco majestic and eco ardence. 30min away from KLCC but u can get rental $500-$700 for landed
My choice would be Putrajaya, with international schools, less traffic jam (i assume), and MRT connection to the central city, wouldnt want to drive in KL
Yeah malaysia is definitely a heaven for expat. as for local many are still earning less than £500 per month. so many locals cannot afford to buy a decent house. we are severely underpaid. rental price is expensice yet average salary is only RM2500 per month. seeing so many expat praising Malaysia for our cheap price is annoying tbh
Yes true..500£ is definitely cheap for expats..but for the locals earning 2000rm above.. somehow might be hard..owning a house nowadays as local myself…kinda difficult maybe for me ..note that things aren’t cheap anymore
The average earner in UK wouldn't be able to afford relocating like this sister. Expats who come here usually have substantial financial resources. As long they keep the money flowing I dont have any problems with expats living in Malaysia. Just accept the reality that we are just developing nations with low currency. The grass is not always greener on the other side.
So u have chosen to live in Melaka... it’s a clean n beautiful place ... but hotter than other places in Malaysia.. wondering whether you have explored other places such as Putrajaya, Cyberjaya ...
yeah we in the east dont wear our shoes inside the house because it might be dirty with the animal faeces or something else. Sometimes we just want to lay on the floor or carpets so it must be cleaned from dirt. We usually have slippers that only be used inside the house.
I'm from the UK and have always taken my shoes off before going inside the house. It's seems like a no brainer to me and my family as it's the most hygienic thing to do.
well people still can get into your house, but they probably have to climb many walls and walk by foot, which in itself is a bit weird. but in good neighborhood, possibility of break-ins are almost zero. but sometimes during holiday season when people are away it does happens. so make sure your doors and windows etc are locked properly especially if you are away during holidays.
I am Malaysian. Just to remind and be aware. Do not trust to with on the guards. Sometimes it did happens the guards gang with the robbers. Especially the foreign worker guards.
Hi Ms Hayati, Eventho the area is gated and guarded, please please do not let your guard down. I am not trying to be negative but just concern but all in all enjoy your stay and be safe...
Maansha Allah sister Thanks for showing us Muslims can have amazing life And may Allah barik you and and your family and Malaysia and all the Muslims Amazing camera Husband
SubhanAllah I've just discovered this wonderful channel and have already binged on several lol. It's a great informative channel as I am myself looking to relocate to either Istanbul or somewhere in southeast Asia. Malaysia has always been in my top ten destinations. I've lived in Indonesia and love it, but it's a bit overcrowded and noisy. I like quiet places. Insha Allah, I'll most likely make my decision by the summer of next year. It's great to be a retired business owner from California but my children are all college students and married and I'm ready for a new chapter to be written.
The ID is not up to the builder's decision. It comes with the owner budget. Some will put as minimal budget as they can to get the full furnished rental rate..and truthfully most Malaysian can't afford for landed house, even so much of a landed terrace/ link house..
There are more choices of International schools in KL n Selangor....ranging from 90k- 20k per year. The more facilities the school can provide the higher the fees.
KL and Selangor is too chaotic and probably not much different from her old place in London, so basically she's looking for different vibes instead of experiencing similar vibes like in the West.
The comment made was not actually for pn. saira...she already knows where she wants to live n what school n what to do...rather this is for her audience who were asking a abt schools here
If only I have discovered your channel earlier I would have recommended u to purchase bungalow houses in Janda Baik, Bentong or Genting Highlands where you can get them around your price range. The only difference is that these places are way better than KL. They are located just beside the million years old forest reserves, milder temperatures, capital towns of the musang king durians, the infamous Bentong ginger and a shout away from the biggest casino and theme park in South East Asia. By staying there you can enjoy the best that Msia has to offer from simple but comfortable village life to the life in KL as they are located just 30 mins from KL. Of course the cost of living is cheaper too.
Just don't jump on the bandwagon of dislikeness or likeness for the word CHEAP. The main idea is much deeper, which is to use a more appropriate lingo as the lady making the video claims to be well versed in the economic and financial world. It is to approach in a way that the market is not disturbed but is sustained so more people like the v-logger are able to move to Malaysia and other destinations. Using inappropriate lingo can create unfair hype where persons who are thinking of moving to these affordable destinations will miss out on the opportunity. Simple, Act Responsibly.
the only reason we take off our outside shoes is that we dont want to bring in the dirt from outside inside our house, just imagine if you stepped on a poo and you step inside your house with that shoes, its more of cleanliness.
why does the average say london/uk is no longer a fun place to live. hope all the people there are ok. i have a foster family who has lived here for about 17 years & in 2021 he has returned to scotland. i hope to those who want to reside in Malaysia...always be in a safe condition & away from harmful things because your safety, comfort & happiness living in Malaysia also reflects the way or life here. your presence here also helps to some extent in improving the economy in malaysia. take care everyone
Malaysia is a great country with good medical care if you pay. I visited several times but I would recommend comparing to Indonesia as it is cheaper. The infrastructure in Indonesia is not as good as in Malaysia.
I like your channel and you of course. You are a brave woman. I would never manage to live away from my country.I did for a while but it was work related. السلام عليكم which area is this. Me and my wife are planning move there when MM2H clears. We from USA been to Malaysia 5 times love the country. Thanks
It is quite unusual that foreigners who move to Malaysia settle down in Melacca. Usually they will be either at KL or Penang. In Melacca, you will get better quality of life. You get big houses with cheaper rent. The only thing is that you may miss the hustle of the KL city.
Houses in Malaysia are simple because of the constant warm climate, you just need a roof and four walls thats it, no insulation and just common sense to have good ventilation and fan to keep the heat dispersed.
Dear sister, Asalaam Alikum!!!! UA-cam channels are in overload with so much of everyone’s personal information…….this is so scary!!!!… your safety and the safety of your love ones are extremely important….May Allah protect you all!!!! Ameen Allahuma Ameen.🕋🤲
I am a Malaysian working in the UK. Please do not believe everything you hear from this video. There are a lot of other issues living in Malaysia that is not being covered. Yes, living standards are low in Malaysia but so does everything else. You still need to be vigilant and aware of your surroundings and environment. The public services in Malaysia is adequate but poor in certain areas. Really, depends on where you live and which area you reside, some places are just best be avoided. Malays in general are very good and kind people , but there are bad apples in any society - scammers and con artists are everywhere looking for people like you, and there are also many corrupted people especially in the government, like the current PM and his vice PM. The rule of thumb is : if things doesn't sound right , or too good to be true , there is a high chance it is a scam. In terms of justice , my father died miserably from a cock up medical procedure and until now we did not get any compensation and the judges are all so corrupt , they are not willing to entertain further appeal. There are many more problems in Malaysia , but in general if you know how to mind yourself , and take care of yourself, you will be okay. But of course , you have to mind your kids because drug pushers are everywhere and they always target foreigners.
You'd be better off staying away, then, so that we can make room for those who are willing to give us fair chance, like this sister here. You've tasted both side of the world (before you start, so have I, hence my unwavering loyalty), and still you come out here making Malaysia to be like some ghetto unworthy of one's love. Talking sht about our standard of living? Let's not forget in Malaysia, you will never be mindful of how much your are spending for heating whenever you have unexpected guests coming over, since our electricity is affordable and subsidized anyway! Our KKM performs miles better than your NHS, and we don't even have to maintain any sort of insurance to be assigned to GPs; our IC allows us to get treatment anywhere without being attached to our legal address. Every meds prescribed are RM1 for the whole duration needed until your next appointment, whereas you have to buy your own over there. Our poors can also more than afford to spend on frivolous things over here, we have Shopee and Lazada where the prices are often half than what's paid in Amazon/Aliexpress. 32 bottles of gel polish, for example, can go as low as RM16 easily (actual price paid by me just recently). Your country (yeah, might as well renounce legally, we do not love traitors here) doesn't even know what is a woman, so shut up about us supposedly being so much more corrupted than yours. At least we are not openly endorsing and supporting genocide like your beloved government is doing over there. And also, medical negligence is a highly competitive business over here. When there's a body, there's almost always compensation. Corrupt judges? You're so stuck in the 90s. If the ratio decidendi given is absurd, there's always active form of check and balance here, from legal recourses to pressure by the Bar Council, not like anything can be swept under the rug in this age of social media. Our medical tourism is thriving as a result of strong check and balance system. You also talk like there's no bad seed over there where you live, when here, at least, hijabis don't have to worry about stepping into wrong place where you'd get hate crimed just for wearing a piece of fabric over the head. I have so many family friends like you, having to come back here under MM2H after spending decades badmouthing Malaysia. Fingerscrossed that won't be you and you'll stay away for good.
Only a matter of time until those rental and house prices go up because people like yourselves will increase it because of "supply and demand." However good luck with your new journey. May Allah provide you with peace, blessings and tranquility in your new found adventure. Ameen
You can't get £500 for a gated semi-d house with a pool in KL. Born and raised in KL, but my grandparents are from Jasin, Melaka. So dead and quiet at night 😂
There 4 International School in you can try Melaka International School British base IGCSE near to your home in Klebang Melacca for your childrens educations

Salam from Malaysia. Yes. Prices do vary according to states, type of property, area size and what do you get (single storey, double storey houses, bungalows, semi detached, terrace, open housing area or gated and guarded, 3/4/5 rooms, apartment with pool or without, gym, tennis court, designated parking spot etc
@@cececonnie5509 That’s interesting. In the UK there is a service charge when you rent/purchase a flat (condominium) and some people also have to pay ground rent which are both separate charges paid annually on top of the actual monthly rent. Is this also the case in Malaysia?
@@pxnther2502i know there is monthly “maintenance fee” for a condo, and also annual “parcel rent” and “assessment rate” but if i’m not mistaken the latter two are paid by the owners and not the tenants. Some owner might also pay maintenance fee for you, depends on your rental contract.

Better than significant major cities in the USA.
Too expensive
ALHAMDULLILAH...may ALLAH bless of you n family....
This looks great as it is and I'm sure you're permanent house will be great too.
Mashallah well done
Ramzaan mubarak
My allah bless your family and yout new life alhamdulillah
MA SHAA ALLAH beautiful and soo calming
I love your video sis..I'm Malaysian...always looking forward for your next video..🤗👋
Thank you so much
Great choice. I love Melaka
It seem u have chosen Malacca over KL or Penang. it has different vibe but choice can be limited, If u consider Selangor (greater KL area) maybe can search utbe eco majestic and eco ardence. 30min away from KLCC but u can get rental $500-$700 for landed
which code would that be?
My choice would be Putrajaya, with international schools, less traffic jam (i assume), and MRT connection to the central city, wouldnt want to drive in KL
Putrajaya is too expensive@@cececonnie5509
Beautiful house mashallah enjoy sister ❤
Pool comes with electricity & water bill... cost in minimum usd200 a month for that...
I am Malaysian.
Just to remind and be aware.
Do not trust to with on the guards.
Sometimes it did happens the guards gang with the robbers.
Especially the foreign worker guards.
Yes please make a video in how to make money here in the UK, and how to make it work somewhere else. Looking forward to it.
Mashallah. So happy for you and your family. I’ve been thinking to leave London with my 4 children. Haven’t figured out how just yet. Uk is finished!
Why is everyone saying UK is a goner
your face similar with (saira the musafir) youtube channel ❤❤
They are sisters
Hi Ms Hayati,
Eventho the area is gated and guarded, please please do not let your guard down. I am not trying to be negative but just concern but all in all enjoy your stay and be safe...
It is very encouraging that you try to live in a Malaysian city because the transportation between cities is quite good
Maansha Allah sister
Thanks for showing us Muslims can have amazing life
And may Allah barik you and and your family and Malaysia and all the Muslims
Amazing camera Husband
WOW ~!~ REALLY WORTHY
My lovely sister you can use word affordable instead of cheap i hope you understand what i mean. Love your content please continue ❤❤❤
Masha Allah its beautiful...🎉🎉🎉
The ID is not up to the builder's decision. It comes with the owner budget. Some will put as minimal budget as they can to get the full furnished rental rate..and truthfully most Malaysian can't afford for landed house, even so much of a landed terrace/ link house..
There are more choices of International schools in KL n Selangor....ranging from 90k- 20k per year. The more facilities the school can provide the higher the fees.
Ah expats, want all the good things from living here but unwilling to assimilate, only eager to stay in their bubbles 😂
KL and Selangor is too chaotic and probably not much different from her old place in London, so basically she's looking for different vibes instead of experiencing similar vibes like in the West.
The comment made was not actually for pn. saira...she already knows where she wants to live n what school n what to do...rather this is for her audience who were asking a abt schools here
Regarding the mosquitoes, it’s not that you’re not sweet enough but fun fact mosquitoes rather kids blood over adults and blondes over brunettes.
I have 2 young kids, one boy gets all the mosquitoes bites, like 20 on his body. The other son only get 2-3 bites
@@cececonnie5509 I’m really sorry to hear that, it must very frustrating for you and your son. Have you looked for or tried any remedies?
Beautiful vibe and as a fellow British person it's so refreshing hearing your voice 😅🙌🏾🤍✨
Selamat datang Ahlan wasahlan
Malaysia is great place to stay for expatriat.but for us Malaysia its quiet expensive.. Maybe different if u rich.but if u not rich its hard
Thank you for this video. Please tell us about schooling.
Welcome to my lovely country and enjoy your stay
why does the average say london/uk is no longer a fun place to live. hope all the people there are ok. i have a foster family who has lived here for about 17 years & in 2021 he has returned to scotland. i hope to those who want to reside in Malaysia...always be in a safe condition & away from harmful things because your safety, comfort & happiness living in Malaysia also reflects the way or life here. your presence here also helps to some extent in improving the economy in malaysia. take care everyone
Me sense of belonging is roo strong. For me where I come from, my people, our traditions, our history, land, relatives, friends are running thick through my blood.
That's how I raise up child also.
The stone is heaviest at its place and my country is my fortress.
I travel a lot though but on the 3rd day my longing for home and country becomes unbearable.
Asslam u Alikum Sister, I am living in Surabaya, Indonesia, but basically, I am from Pakistan. You got a beautiful house at a very good price. If I buy the same type of house in Indonesia, then I should pay more than your house price. Stay blessed and happy with your family. Take care; I am going to subscribe to your channel. take care
السلام عليكم which area is this. Me and my wife are planning move there when MM2H clears. We from USA been to Malaysia 5 times love the country. Thanks
I think they will make decisions by 31st march, not sure
This is Klebang Malacca
What area are you interested in purchasing a property in?
Where are you from?
@@zaedhrshUK
It is quite unusual that foreigners who move to Malaysia settle down in Melacca. Usually they will be either at KL or Penang. In Melacca, you will get better quality of life. You get big houses with cheaper rent. The only thing is that you may miss the hustle of the KL city.
Super duper dats wat i kol home great vid kippidap
Wow let compare it with a house in UK it's looking like a mansion with the high ceiling and space you have. ❤
Houses in Malaysia are simple because of the constant warm climate, you just need a roof and four walls thats it, no insulation and just common sense to have good ventilation and fan to keep the heat dispersed.
MashaAllah amazing house sis well done
Come on, cameraman. You have to be fit and obey all the boss's orders. 😅
Tq so much... Have a nice day
Dear sister, Asalaam Alikum!!!! UA-cam channels are in overload with so much of everyone’s personal information…….this is so scary!!!!… your safety and the safety of your love ones are extremely important….May Allah protect you all!!!! Ameen Allahuma Ameen.🕋🤲
as a father myself at 3:37, I had to wave back ^_^ oh kids! so cute
Try to use water called "blue water" cheap and healthier, i was there 7 years +, and now moved in EU
Lol.. You bought a house in my hometown. Just 30 minutes from my place. Hopefully one day will meet you all. InshaAllah. Enjoy your stay!
Mashallah nice useful information
I plan to visit this area in December and find a place rent as well.
Anything like your place would be fantastic
* That's in Malacca. 100+km away from KL. KL or Selangor might not be the case. Maybe same rate but smaller basic house or decent apartment.
Only a matter of time until those rental and house prices go up because people like yourselves will increase it because of "supply and demand."
However good luck with your new journey.
May Allah provide you with peace, blessings and tranquility in your new found adventure. Ameen
Just a trivia....Dyson is manufactured in Johor Malaysia.
That’s coool!
I love this, everyone else lives in flats and I hated that.
To be fair £500 a month for such as house you have to go some ways out of Kuala Lumpur. You’re not going to get this price in and around KL. Melaka for those who don’t know is 2 hours away from KL
You can get rental house like this in putrajaya for £600-750.
Yup £500 in Shah Alam might just get you semi-detached house at best.
You can get this in Selangor, but yes not in KL. But she probably prefers Melaka because of the chill beach vibes instead of chaotic KL
Like the vlog ❤
Feels like watching an episode of MTV cribs 😂😂😂... beautiful home
Normally you do get kitchen wall cabinets. So that's odd for a furnished house.
It's just a rental house. So the owner didn't invest much on that house
Yes. Very odd.
@@zm7830Yeah cheapskate owner
Thoroughly enjoying your videos Saira.. can you do some Punjabi speaking vids with your mum and whose the cameraman?!
Masallah 😃
Salaam sister I live in uk London but really love Malaysia been many times I at one point wanted to buy in penang at that time had to invest around £100k as a foreigner I believe it's more now. My question to you is do the prices vary in different states how much is the property investment in Malacca have to be to get residency visa love ❤️ the Malaysia vligs very informative peace and blessings 🙌😊
Hi, in general, lets just say: Tier 1 (property pricing) - KL + greater Klang Valley
Tier 2 - Penang & Johor
Tier 3 - Malacca & Ipoh
For a condominium unit in Melaka, can get at £84,000 for foreigner
@@cececonnie5509 That’s interesting. In the UK there is a service charge when you rent/purchase a flat (condominium) and some people also have to pay ground rent which are both separate charges paid annually on top of the actual monthly rent. Is this also the case in Malaysia?
@@pxnther2502i know there is monthly “maintenance fee” for a condo, and also annual “parcel rent” and “assessment rate” but if i’m not mistaken the latter two are paid by the owners and not the tenants. Some owner might also pay maintenance fee for you, depends on your rental contract.
Near bamboo area perhaps you can add orchids phalaenopsis, amabilis, etc.
Mashallah beautiful nice to hear you speaking punjabi 😍😊
Lovely house 🏠 ❤
Stop saying it's cheap. It's not to the locals. You're gonna make everybody lives harder.
TQ for coming n residing to mlysia..
