Salam saira. I am in JB at GelangPatah nearby medini sunway big box in iskandar nusajaya. I am very happy you v come.. never ever people doing this kind of video about my place before. We love you Mrs Saira and you family too.
a bit correction bro....JB is not at Gelang Patah, but the other way around..if you are in Gelang Patah, then you are in Iskandar Puteri which is part of Johor Bahru itself ...I born in Kg Tiram Duku, Gelang Patah 😊
It’s expensive for the locals as we earn and spent in ringgit, you guys earn in GBP and convert to Ringgit so of course you could live a luxurious life here which not many locals could afford
The sultan of Johor is currently our nations's King -the richest and most outspoken. Has such a great love for Johor and doing so much for the state. I'm half Johorean from my father's side. Lots of Arab/Javanese descendants there through migration centuries ago. You need to try Laksa Johor - delicious fish sauce eaten with pasta and condiments 😊
Salaam 3alaykom, jazakom Allah khairan for sharing your move and experience in Malaysia and else where. That was always my wish to discover that part of Asia Asia.
Assalamu 'alaikum sister, welcome to Singapore. Yes,most malls are not equipped with bidet facilities. Arab Street has many shops along Masjid Sultan-all kinds of cuisine. If you like Dim Sum go to The Dim Sum Place,Pancakes&Waffles,Hjh Maimunah (best Indonesian Malay food -Jln Pisang & also at Joo Chiat Road),The Peppermint at Parkroyal collection Hotel Marina Square offers too notch buffet. Enjoy your stay.
Sis, if you're getting the water dispenser, do not get the ones on subscription. Because the companies will try to lock you into a multi-year contract. Buy the dispenser machine outright and change the filters yourself. It's easy and the filters don't cost much. Initial setup require some plumbing service to make a new water line to the machine, but that's it. Ask your realtor to recommend a reliable local Melaka plumber.
salam Saira! the algo may have brought me to your channel after i browse some JB home videos. Great informative channel and send my salam to your mum! i’m just across the border 😂
2:07 "...Atari game thing.." 😅 Only we of a certain generation would get that! Next, I expect Saira to be throwing out Secret Seven or Famous Five references! (What the heck, JB?? Why is it so drizzly? Looks like London weather)
Hi Saira, I have found your channel a couple of weeks ago. Excellent straight forward content and very informative. Can you answer a question for me please? On the mmh2 program silver or gold, as i understand the deposit has to be banked for 1 year, after which you can remove 50% for house purchase. What then is the rule regarding the other 50% left in the deposit? I am sure alot of the viewers are wondering the same. Also, i believe it is slightly different criteria for someone over 50 years old? I am very interested in making the move, again many thanks for your work. Best wishes Kevin, UK.
JB is beautiful. I lived there for 2 years. Best location and lovely people. It has a local airport so you can explore all of Malaysia conveniently. You should have bought your property here. It has so much going for it.
Maghrebi is a Maroccan restaurant. It means my Marocco = Maghrebi. Definitely the tajin is a maroccan signature dish. I hope you enjoyed your dinner or breakfast if you have eaten over there. Love your content❤
Salam. Just a friendly note sister, don't do the "fingers crossed" thing as it's a superstition that goes against Islam. You may consider it a minor thing, but it's not
The other day i saw a muslim colleague say 'knock wood' and she knocked the wooden table. I was horrified but she is from turkey so was not sure if to teach her about what is shirk, but then they have in their country including istanbul airport all these blu eye thing that they say is to stop the evil eye insteadof reading the quran.. many muslims are used to saying all these shirk stuff. Anyone who wants to understand what is shirk or why superstition is haram/forbidden read an excellent book by sheykh Bilal Philips called: Tawhid That is an excellent book to understand about all the roots of superstition and why they are un-islamic to follow them.
It is so bizarre that yt has deleted my comment on replying to above comment that crossing fingers is haram because it is superstitious. I then just simply said that whoever wants to understand the root of words like 'touch wood' and 'finger crossed' come from pagan culture. The deleted comment was not even offensive it was to say that i work with some muslim turkish women that always say when they talk to us 'touch wood' and then knock the wooden tables around to make the point. I then said to get an idea why these are haram is to read sheykh Bila Philips' book called TAWHID! SO YT now censors Islamic advice??? And not only my pro 🍉 comments??
Am glad you make this video about JB. Cuz my family is going there in August for 1 week before we travel to Singapore. Also we want to see if living in JB better than living in Kuala Lumpur 🤔
I think it depends on what kind of lifestyle you’re looking for. We’re foreigners living in JB but looking to move to KL as it’s more suitable for our lifestyle.
For Muslim travellers to Singapore, these places are must go.. 1. Masjid Sultan Area of Kampong Gelam 2. Pasar Geylang Serai 3. Changi Village 4. Mustaffa Centre
👆👍😬😁😗.....aunty you mum so nice hihi may Allah bless you mom and gift him good healthy amin ya Rabbal Alamin...and for you and all family amin ya Rabbal Alamin
Salam. If you view at why things in Malaysia are relatively inexpensive on a wider perspective - its all about being less greedy and controlling the community on not to be greedy just to be rich.
In Singapore your air bnb would not be considered luxurious at all. 😂 It is a First World Country and standards are much higher for " luxury". It offers a different experience from Malaysia so you cant really compare. You should try Thailand , most SE Asians including Malaysians and Singaporeans prefer to shop there.
It would be good to explain how you relocated to Malaysia (visa typ e, timeline process) rather than expose your lavish lifestyle and feed on people frustration.
I want to comment the same but looking at her qualification and experience in finance world i really dare not say anything... with same knowledge as her i would have been in her shoes today... the best best part she wont be even reading all this comments... she is financially smart and busy women i believe
You have extra confidence in Malaysia 😅 i know you Pakistani panjabi, please carefully for chains and Indian, very dengrs escenor, I'm also Pakistani but live in Malaysia
*Salaam Sister* I'm apologizing beforehand and most respectfully and kindly ask you to try to not use the phrase "fingers crossed" this is literally for Christians believes on "cross crucifixion" and use such phrase as to get some blessings out of this "phrase" 💚Astagfarullah🤲🏼 because of what they associate it with as you likely know already. We, this ummah should be more careful using such terms while it comes very casual in the West, we all really should know what it really means or where it's coming from. JazakaAllahu Khayran Sister, with kindness a message from your brother in Islam.
Finger cross is christains thing. cause they believe Jesus died in cross. So crossing fingers its kind of comitting shirk. Many muslims who grew up in the west practice finger cross thing for good luck and they are not aware how is Shrik to Allah. As muslims We always say if Allah's will which means Insha.Allah.
Salam Saira sis if that's okay can you write email address to contact with you ( there is something I want to ask you cause I think you know Malaysia well, I really need a help! )

Not the usual spot people would choose to.stay in air bnb. Not near the city area. JB Heritage walk area is usually preferred.

Its not Lebanese cuisine its Moroccan. Hence the leaflet that stated Maghrebi which means Moroccan.
