- Enjoy rebuilding my Ragley BigWig 2021 Grey hardtail trail MTB bike onto a Nukeproof Scout 2023 Red one.

What an absolutely beautiful bike❤ I was mesmerized watching this video. So informative yet relaxing to watch. I been wanting a scout 290 and liked the artichoke color but available only in the race build that is until I saw this color…..Race red correct? Again, awesome job and bike❤

Beautiful build! I was planning on getting the same steam-bar combo but I worry the vibration might become a problem. Is that the 50mm steam?
Thanks. Yes, 50mm. It's quite stiff, but never tried this bike on a rock-garden, so didn't noticed any unsupportable vibration yet. If you're concerned, I'd recommend the 31.8mm version.

More impressive to look at than the ragley.
If im gonna strip a bike anyway I remove the chain derailleur & caliper before the wheel.
Unless it's a sram with a lock on installed 😂

Why use red moly type instead of white lithium on axles etc? Any advantages?
Nope, just that grease I had at that moment (and it looks like sour cherry jelly :)

I bought the 2023 frame in blue. I haven’t started my build yet but I’m starting to think I bought the wrong colour!
My wife (the builder in this video) wanted to convince me to choose the blue one, but everyone knows, the red cars are faster, so the bikes as well :))

@@atiboa my wife has a red Trek, really similar in colour to the new Scout so that swayed me towards the blue. Thanks mate, I will enjoy my frame while I have it. I know I will be swapping all my components over to a new frame the second a purple Scout comes out though so I’m no too shattered.

It's an XL.
Nukeproof changed the sizes with this generation (Scout v3), they offer up to XXL now.
Ragley BigWig as a donor.....i like the build but not so the swap..It feels like a downgrade 🙂
Some parts were upgraded, but not the frame.
The frame swap is simply a personal preference (the fear of the rust is my enemy :))
