Hi Trev, thanks for posting your latest adventure on Dartmoor! Great to see you back in the north moor, you can’t beat that area and I know you love the high moor. Look like Johnny and Matt had a good time. I remember Johnny from last year’s charity walk we did in May. Typical July weather eh😂, and great to hear the ‘SoN’ walla 😊.

Great vid Trev. Was almost up on yes tor that same day/evening except I felt guilty about always taking people to same place! We were over on steeperton. It was very windy. Had to tuck in by the cabin.
Yea I know what you mean. I just love the North Moor though, when I've been away from the moor I always feel I have to return to this area to set off. And steeperton does get proper windy

Very familar looking morning weather there on Dartmoor. Sometimes the mist clears and in your case it looks like it was sticking around. Great video as per always Trev.
We didn't have it too bad for out walk, but mist settled over night. Made a turn for the worst once we was leaving though, a really wet day so we done well to miss the worst. A good old time though. Thanks for watching!
@@SummitOrNothing when you wake up to a couple of ponies wandering around in the mist it's pretty surreal. Looks like a great camp you all had anyway. Finding 3 flat spots to camp near a Tor can sometimes be tricky. Nice to see you all out on a camp though. My mate and I are looking to go in September provided the winds and rain aren't too bad.

Hi Trev. Great vid with some pretty brutal weather for July. I can see how easy it is to get lost when the mist comes down. The guy with the baseball cap sounded like hes from Bristol or somewhere near. That was a good spot when you beeped us in Okehampton the other day. We were down there making a few vids ourselves. We were expecting to bump into you at some point so when we heard a beep i knew it was you. Take care mate. 😊😊

@@SummitOrNothing Yeah the weather has been pretty bad but we managed to walk to the plane crash site on the slipper stones opposite Blackator copse in the Okement valley which is a walk ive been wanting to do for a while now. 😊😊

@@SummitOrNothing Hi Ttev. It was a great walk but quite difficult. We started from the bike hire place at Sourton aa we didn't want to have to cross the river . We've walked a similar route from Meldon before & it took a long time to find a crossing point for the river. 😊😊

Yea its a great piece of music, have used that and a few of their tunes on our vids over the years, all free on youtube audio .
I have a Colombia waterproof, can't remember the model because I bought if about 7 years ago, its brilliant performance but I forget the zip is on the other side.
Try smearing a bit of vaseline (other products are not available) in the valve Trev. Seems to improve the seal. Crackin' vid fella. 👍🏼

Haha! Yep - but so much easier than that bloody air sack thing that comes with it! Weather has been a bit shit lately, but we seemed to miss the worst for this hike and camp. Enjoyed being under canvas whilst it was raining outside too. Thanks for watching!

Glad the pad stayed inflated, but I'd take a guess that the silver side of it is the warmer side. It looks reflective, in any case. You'd be surprised how more effective having reflective insulation next to your body is (at least, it is in my experience).
You might wanna use the other side in warmer weather though.

Hello SoN fans! I am looking at visiting the UK end of October beginning of November and would like make a climb in Snowdonia Park. Is this a common thing to do so late in the season there? I have the gear and have done winter hiking in the mountains before much in a SoN fashion. Any resources or insights would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
To be honest, Dartmoor can be wild at any time of the year in the UK. The seasons are so disrupted now that it doesnt really matter. Just avoid boggy, wet areas or river crossings after heavy rain, I guess.
