There's never communication with the surgeon tho. Through a call to the clinic, or a message through the pt portal, there are gatekeepers & the provider most often never knows we try to get to him/her with questions or concerns. There is the receptionist, MA & RN. An in person clinic visit is the only way I've found to speak with the Dr who performed surgery on me.
