This was a helpful video. Thanks. I ordered the 590 before I saw your video for an older pc I have... 129 seemed like a decent price. I'm not a heavy gamer, I just wanted to take some pressure of an older intel i7 CPU.
*Hey, I made a video from MLLSE on their fake 590 GME, I had to open to check the number to 100& verify, it turned out it was just a regular RX 580 2304 but just with an OC on it.* RX 580 2048SP -(215-0910052) RX 580 - (215-0910038) RX 590 GME (215-0910066)
It's quite interesting to the name, 590 GME aka GoldenMouseEdition(2020 aka Mouse year as traditional Chinese calendar). And today, upcoming 7900GRE ~~ aka GoldenRabbitEdition(2023 aka Rabbit year).... not the GRE exam. so the next is on 2026 9X00GHE GoldenHorseEdition
very good question honestly, although 11 8pin is 150w, 8 pin about 112w and motherboard supplies 75w, still below the 185tdp of the 580 though which is super odd
Because this is a custom card uses 580 2048p chipset. so you already see that the manufacturer has made cost saving in there making the card actually run worst than a legit RX 580 card. For reference, the actual RX 580 is probably around 5/10% (at first glance while googling) faster than the card featured in the video which is a rx 580 2048sp. The legit rx 590 gme uses 8+6 pin.
@zZxyzz the cpu is more powerful and there's a bottle neck consider downgrading and get a 10100 then it will be fine on 1440p resolution display and get a 600 watt psu for that.
To anyone who might stumble upon this comment I hope this helps. If you're thinking of buying this card then consider buying a real second-hand sapphire nitro rx 590 gme card. These cards are legit 590 gme cards exclusively released in China and were used for mining in factories but they are more well taken care of than a second-hand cards that was used for gaming because of daily thermal cycling. The card featured in the video, with custom cooler and pcb are mostly 580 chipset but with bios flashed to look more like 590 gme. Also the legit 590 gme cards uses 8 pins + 6 pins so if you see only 8 pin then avoid that.
gx590 gme is more for readering 3d project. and amd website u download the rx590 driver oso... i think is not scammer jer addinh more 5fps... still budget gpu for 2025
I know I am year late but RX 500 series naming is overall weird clusterduck thanks to AMD, here let me show fast that even looking at core count can sometimes make you think you bought a scam or true card RX 570 → 2048 SP RX 580 2048SP → released year after RX 570 / 580, during first crypto mining boom, its just RX 570 renamed to show up as RX 580 RX 580 → 2304 SP RX 590 → 2304 SP yes, RX 590 is not using same GPU but also same core count as RX 580... only difference between real RX 580 and RX 590, is that RX 590 is overclocked out of the box... So not surprised here that your RX 590 came around 11-12% better than RX 580 2048SP, this would be the same score if you would compare RX 580 vs RX 570 (maybe more like 9-10% duo real RX 580 having lower core clocks than RX 590)
I picked up one of these a few weeks ago and it's really been a blast messing with the settings. I can play any game I want at 1080p at pretty good settings. I also tested some 1440p and even 4k on this thing and it does really well! I can get a locked 60fps on Apex Legends at 4k high settings with it. Perfect for gaming with controller from a couch or something
@@BrandanFischer for now, I used to have one 3 years ago, mine wasn't mined, great card but hbm degrades with mining, just look at all those dead Radeon 7's
Hello! I buy same videocard (MLLSE RX "590 GME", but I have a question. Do you have a "Sensors" tab screenshot from GPU-Z? How many watts does your card consume when idle? My videocard consume 12.4W on "GPU Chip Power Draw" Sensor. I think, it`s too much for RX580 chip. May be, chip RX480 in my card?

0:51 only has 6 pins? While RX580 has 8 pins and tdp of 185w. How does that make sense?

its not 590, 590 has 8p or 8+6p, only 6p is rx580 2048p

Hbm degrades by mining tho,
