  • So In My 2015 Subaru Outback I Paid over $2,000 For The GPS At The Dealership When The 5th Generation Subaru Outback JUST Came Out Back In 2014. Unfortunately The GPS Just Stoped Working. The Dealership Wanted To Charge Me A Ballpark Figure Of $350 To Fix It So I Said Forget That, Even The Cheapest New Cars Come With Apple / Android Car Play So Let Me Just Replace The Head Unit. After Doing Extensive Research, All Sources Recommended That I Install A iDoing Head Unit. So I Did...... I Did Go Onto Crutchfields Website And Could Of Went With A Alpine / Kenwood etc. But Would Of Spend Over $1000....... iDoing Costed Me Less Then $500.
Very Happy With It. Hope My Video Was Helpful. Like / Comment / Subscribe.

Thank you. Interesting, the folks at WRXDaily said the camera keeps the backup lines.

I’ve been holding off on upgrading my head unit for a long time, I was going to go with something from crutchfield but I just like the way this one looks and the price. I didn’t know it had wireless Apple CarPlay which is what basically made me pull the trigger. Not sure what to expect but I hope I don’t regret it.

Can you provide a link to where you bought your head unit from?

Did you connect with the OEM rear parking camera or used a new one? did you have to use stepdown converter 12v-6v for the camera?

Looks great, thinking about getting one for my 2015 Outback. How many radio presets does it have and can you use XM radio with it?

Did you literally just plug in the wires from the stock radio in to the Idoing or did you have to use the harness that came with the new radio?

Thank for video. Does this idoing unit connect to the built in duel USB ports?

Idk I personally opted to make it plug and play and didn’t bother with any hard wire plug and play option. Everything with mine is wireless

@@utkureviewsthank you for the response. Does the original USB port still work in your car? I wonder if I can still use the port to charge things even though it won't connect to the radio.

@mattbarkley1 I believe so but truth be told, with the type C chargers out now I would suggest getting a 20-50 watt cigarette jack type c to what ever phone you have type c - lightning , type c - type c, type c to micro usb ) for incredible charge speed. I’ll never go back to usb…..

Thanks for the info. I plan on installing the head unit this weekend. Did you install the wired mic or are you just using the one that's on the face of the unit.

Yup. Just put in the make / model / year and mention if it comes with harman kardon speakers
