Very honest and good review. I have also driven the GV70 and NX. The GV70s small buttons on the touchscreen are hard to hit because they are small the NX touchsceen buttons are bigger and easy to touch. And at over 6ft tall it was hard to reach the main navigation screen on the GV70 compared to the NX. The GV70 looks much better but the NX feels so much better to drive and use. But that is just my 2c.
@@jax1079 Would be interesting to know if the Lexus NX I have bought here in the UK is differently tuned compared to the US versions. For our small tight roads here in the UK the size of the Highlander or RX becomes hard to park up in carparks and manouver around tight city streets so the NX was a perfect compromise.
@@user-zh9kc7tw4n Absolutely a great point. Just speculation, but I imagine that the suspension tuning is slightly different region to region and to suit the tastes of the customers. Many cars here in the states are on the softer side since the American barges of our youth were giant floaty land ships. That’s changed a bit over the years, but I still think brands (such as Lexus) that have an older client base tend to be a bit cushier. And I’m sure the NX is MUCH more suited to European sized roads and cities. We’re spoiled for space over here… too much so most of the time 😜
That ride review from the guy is actually a compliment to Toyota Lexus. It’s designed to float ya down the road. Go drive a WRX STI for a week, you need a kidney belt. Give me the float any day.
I get what you’re saying, but there’s a difference between comfort and float. I’d be fine with the cushiness if it were just about 10% more controlled. It needs to settle, especially side to side motions.
I didn’t really care for this review overall but I do agree about the ride and that it’s not “float”. It’s “bouncy”. Like your shocks are loose or bad or something. I’m so car expert, but even I mentioned it to the sales man.
Damn, I love me a Lexus SUV. . Always been a soft spot for me. Love this NX model, definitely would go for that 450h+. That'd fit my life perfectly, work locally (40mi would get me to work & back easy), single guy that rarely ever has any passengers. . . Now, I need to obtain a bunch of money. . Hmmm.
Yeah, the Lexus NX combined everything I love about the RAV4 Prime in a luxurious SUV that doesn't have an interior made out of leftover retainers. I actually like the 350 F Sport trim as well, but it's just not as mind blowing as the Genesis GV70 or as spacious as the Acura RDX.
í'm a single guy who doesn't exactly need a massive car for a heap of passengers. TBH the drive feel was confortable and reliability is not notch. Thinking of placing an order in a month for 1
I purchased a 2023 Lexus NX 350H and agree with this video. It is good for 2 people in the front seats only. Premium gas in the cold does not get the best fuel economy.
Really, I think the 450h+ is the one to get (although I do like the regular hybrid - less the brakes, which I can live with). I've heard that they've stopped taking orders for the 450h+, like the RAV4 Prime, cuz the wait time had become ridiculous

I’m not an audiophile, so I’d probably go F Sport for the cooler styling and more supportive seats (I’ve got a messed up scoliosis riddled back). I disagree with some of your review since space and ride is subjective to what you are looking for. I like the ride the way it is, size is perfect for my life. Two people which I dont consider this a tight space. Larger people yes it will be tight. With the overlapping complaints you need a larger vehicle.
Absolutely, and often times when we talk about space or cargo we're coming from the perspective of a family with grown kids who also happen to be quite tall (as we all are), so we like to offer that point in case others in our situation are considering the vehicle. Thanks for watching!
Can’t see the HUD with sunglasses… I tested this at the dealer… so what’s the point of the HUD and putting so many controls in it, if you can’t see it? Unless you drive mostly at night or where it’s not sunny in the day.
Heavily depends on usage. For our family, the EV range would be good for nearly all of our daily driving, so we would spend almost nothing on gas over LONG periods of time but still be able to use it as a trip vehicle. If you have almost any acceptable charging infrastructure (since 240v is enough to recapture some meaningful range), you could go for similarly long periods of time consuming minimal gas.
Getting the 450h+ is not just saving on gas. You can get the F-Sport handling, the near zero quiet drive, the power it offers beats the 350h. Buying a luxury car is not always math break even. It's the experience as well. I have done a calculation because of being able to drive 37 miles using 0 gas, you have to drive a lot to balance out the gallons used. Just saying driving 100 miles the 350h would used 2.4 gallons (using 41 mpg). The 450h+ would only use 1.9 gallons (even if I used 33 MPG - which is the highway rating). For most people who drive roughly 40 miles a day, the 450h+ does make sense, and would just need to see if it works for you or not.
@@lsft Yes, it’s not just about saving gas. That’s why my comment specifically pertained to not making sense mathematically. If you are driving very little, you’ll never make up the cost. Probably could’ve gotten away with the NX 250 too. If you only drive 40 miles a day, you will never make up the additional cost.
