We lost the great man this past summer and it broke my heart. No new books. I'm currently reading "The Pioneers" about the settlement of Ohio. It's very good. "Adams" was beautifully written from start to finish.
That was a great book. John Adams became one of my three favorite presidents after this book. I came away from it not liking Thomas Jefferson as much as I had before, so I found it interesting that you came about from this book with 180° different take than I did.
Brian, your interview with Troi on youtube just popped up on my youtube home page, please tell all your fans whenever you do interviews for your upcoming novel so we can all check it out!
I stayed up all night to finish this book several years ago. A well-written and fascinating look at a Founding Father. It really highlights how all those philosophies collided to create this nation, and it drives home how tenuous the whole process really was and the effects are still felt
No...he was more like the "well, actually" guy you knew back in school. I don't see him as a mean tweeter. Almost all of his disparaging words about other came from letter he wrote his wife. I know I am way more frank and tactless in the words I choose when talking to my wife (about other, not her) than I would be in a public forum and John Adams was similar.

I ADORED both the book and the miniseries! In fact I think I need to rewatch that series soon, thanks for the review/reminder.
Loved this book and love your shirt! I've never been disappointed with David McCullough book.

It's been years since I read it but I remember it fondly.
I loved 1776, I really should get this book.
Have this book and intend to read it.
By the way “spoiler free”😂 Love it.
Your voice sounds a lot like Paul Giamatti 😁
Up for an interview? Sent you an email. Keep on Trucking!
so John Adams was kind of like Trump, interesting

I would much rather have President Trump’s so called mean tweets..... than the crap we’re going through now with the guy in the White House currently
