My top 10 favorite Snap cards: 10: Klaw - Great surprise drop that's very difficult to predict. Nice counterplay to Wave as well when you need power in multiple lanes. 9: Doctor Octopus - Love the disruption potential. I play Doc Ock with Ham, Korg, Master Mold, and Rockslide to maximize junk pulls. 8: Stegron - Fantastic disruption card. Can force an opponent to garrison early or smack their Venom away before it destroys their Deadpool, Wolverine, Sabretooth lane. 7: Green Goblin - Clog the opponent's lane with less commitment than Hobgoblin. Add power to the lane without filling your own board. 6 : Mister Fantastic - A staple splash card I like throwing into many of my decks. Love to combo with Crossbones for decks built around securing priority. 5: Juggernaut - Juggernaut was my answer to Shuri/Red Skull at its peak. No greater feeling than knocking their Taskmaster into their own Cosmo after locking a lane with Prof X. 4: The Hood - Whether used in destroy, zoo, bounce, or junk, I love playing a weak card for a cheap high-power later. I bring Hood back with Phoenix Force for a second Demon and a Nightcrawler. 3: Scarlet Witch - My favorite channel changer for disrupting Storm/Limbo or removing a location that benefits the opponent more. 2: Vision - Don't need Shuri to make him good. I was already using him at 7 power in my Jean Grey control deck. 1: Nightcrawler - My original favorite card that has yet to be topped. The flex play for 1 energy is so good, and it's easy enough to gauge if you have to worry about Killmonger.
I guess in EU region of marvel snap, Loki is not that OP. I am countering him left and right and when I play him I just get crap from opponent even with 7 card hand size. I literally started losing rank when tried to play him more and changed to move + shuri armor/cosimo to counter destroy and go vertical. Currently at rank 82.
I'm actually mad for not being able to make Loki more consistent. Ok, dino/moongirl colector was working 2-3 days after a release but that style just went out of the window with its win rate so just deleted the deck. Imagine people screaming how card is OP but you counter it with some basic tech left and right, and cannot make a good deck with the same card people complain it is OP. That has been my personal exp with Loki... Weird
YES! Just like they both said, as someone who plays Echo a lot, it is crazy just how often other players play ongoing cards into the same lane as Echo. Like, they clearly don't know what Echo does, but they also don't read the card to find out what Echo does. Blows my mind.
Theres so much loki, so people think hes op, but he's not, just very strong. I got to 88 with day 1 agatha loki, 93 with a non agatha loki deck, tilted with the non stop mirror matches, then got to infinite from 89 with Alex's shuri legion angela deck. Loads of bots after 95 aswell, very easy run from that point
Loki really bums me out because it turned my favorite pet deck into a generic meta tyrant. For the last couple weeks I was quietly running a "Tempo Dino" deck with Mirage, White Queen, and cable to steal people's win-conditions and outdo them, and it was REALLY strong, I didn't post anywhere because I didn't want people to pick up on that it was quietly the ultimate counter to the "good cards" meta we were in. The ultimate highlight for me was copying a destroy player's Death with White Queen on 4 and then copying ANOTHER Death with Mirage on 5 after they destroyed some cards on Turn 4. But adding Loki into that deck just breaks the whole balance of the archetype in half. People act like everyone was "sleeping" on Loki whereas we just assumed he wouldn't work with Collector because he was already one of the best cards in Dino decks and it's obviously overpowered to splash +5 on him while lowering the cost and randomness of the cards in your hand. That Collector synergy is the exact type of meta-breaking over-efficiency you would hope they would fix in testing before release. Lo and behold, he comes out with this unexpected synergy and it's warped the whole deck into fishing for that one specific combo in hopes you won't actually have to steal anything good because you just played a 3/10 that is also going to cheat energy. The copy/steal cards were already efficiently statted and beyond efficient with Collector and/or Quinjet on the board who were grounds for a turn 2 snap BEFORE Loki. Loki has no reason to be so over-statted with Collector, they'd be great compliments to each other without the direct synergy and Loki is already overly-efficient for his stats/effect. Anyone saying Collector/SHIELD needed Loki to be good wasn't actually playing the archetype before, it'll be super fun again once it's balanced (Loki "transforms" cards instead of adding them and goes down to 4 power) but currently it's made my favorite archetype into probably the most dishonest deck in the whole game. Edit: Sorry this ended up being so long. I don't use social media so your comments are my outlet, Alex. Keep up the great videos and promoting great discussion!

Top 10 favorite cards for me to Play 1: Knull 2: Devil Dinosaur 3: Luke Cage 4: Professor X 5: Gambit 6: Rockslide 7: Iron Lad 8: Wolverine 9: Bucky Barnes 10: Yondu
I’ve been loving my boy Shadow King since day 1. I’ve always loved him and insisted he’s good. Brings a tear to my eye that he is finally getting respect.
I’ve been wanting shadow king and Valkyrie, finally got both of them. So sweet to do Luke Cage and Hazmat… then slap Sk or Valk to reset some lanes lol.
My backdoor suggestion to balance Loki is to have Elektra destroy a random 1 or 2 cost card at her location. It gives Elektra a stronger identity, and will give Collector and Jeff another counter.
I think the biggest problem with Loki isn't Collector, i feel like the biggest problem is that it complete destroys so many decks possibilities, any good good stats decks is destroyed by just one loki, any big guy cheating decks with jubilee and wave is also destroyed. It also, like many random card generators cards, it gives you tons of options for different problems, if you play a destroy deck, right now, you are better off to not have knull in it because your opponent can get it from you, if you play HE you shouldn't have luke cage, etc. Maybe I'm a little bias but playing a perfect jubilee line, with doctor doom, aero and iron man only to be destroyed by a Sera, quinjet, loki. On turn 6 my opponent threw 3 5 cost cards at my face. What it took me all 6 turns he did it in just one. As long as Loki exist in its current form many of my favorite decks cant be played at all. It isn't that i cant beat loki, specific heavy combo decks complety destroys him (even something as simple like Wong Ironheart Odin deck) but for me they are not very fun to play. I was pretty exited to make some new decks with ravonna but now i realize that the real counter against Ravonna is Loki itself on par with the upcoming Mobius. Ravonna will be garbage not because its a bad card but because any good or great deck you can make with her will be destroyed by one loki that gets all the benefits and more. I even feel like Mobius wont even be able to stop Loki, by how loki works you can simply get mobius from your opponent and ignore the side effects. Even as a ftp, i cant deny that loki is probably the most fun card in the game, and a big part is because of the cost reduction. I do plan to buy him with 6000 tokens next month. But a change is needed and power is irrelevant for loki. As harsh as it may sound i think it needs to end up as 5/5 or 5/6 card if its ability stays the same. But for a quick OTA change i would probably make it a 4/3, it wont change much its current performance but it would make Mobius a more proper counter when it disables Zabu for example.
I have two patroit decks that i don't think anyone else uses , a patriot juck deck w/ debrii hood viper maw juggernaut doom spiderwoman... And a Patroit Sauron with lad and lizard maw typhoid redskull surfer rouge... I am what you would call a Jank enthusiast Edit : leave the Collector alone😢
I enjoy being able to tell Cozy is so ready for football with all the comparisons he’s thrown in this week. Snap is the perfect phone game during nfl games!!
the bigger issue is that you shouldnt have a counter as a series 4 card. At least with high evo you could slot in a series 3 card that was relatively easy to get.
I think Loki needs to be replace your hand with 3 cards. Similar to beast in that sense, if then becomes a “zero cost” card with the -1 hitting three times. Helps fix collector as well as limiting to swap out 7 cards all with -1 cost
I’m loving Enchantress and of course Jean Grey. Surprisingly no one suspects my enchantress incoming and I’ve won an insane amount of cubes with her. That plus her beautiful new variant is just the chefs kiss. Great episode
So I love some cards you guys have gone through and wish I had them all. I'm at CL 3076 and 80 of 99 Pool 3, 8 0f 14 Pool 4, and 11 of 20 Pool 5. I just want know "Every time I buy a Variant of a Card I don't have, It seem like that week or about half-way into the next week I get the base card. Is this a known behavior or am I just that unlucky"
Devil Dino is my favorite, but my favorite two card combo is Multiple Man with Hulk Buster. Could you plan to talk about decks to counter Mobius ahead of his release? I'm planning to get him, but with the Jet Ski bundle about a week & 1/2 after the release instead of with caches or tokens. It could be as simple as the best decks that don't rely on discounted cards, but I think we'll be seeing a lot of turn 5 Mobius-Wave plays. That could put a premium on cards like Dr. Doom, but I'm sure there are a lot of other things I haven't considered.
Thanks for the video. I love those ranking segments you do with Cozy. Funny to choose America Chavez as a favorite. It is indeed a card that is in most of my decks but I wouldn't choose her as favorite card as I actually never play her on the board.
If you make collector ongoing he might be even better since he will still get the benefit of his ability if you play it later in the game. I also just don’t think his ability would work as an ongoing at all.
This is why you NEVER should open spotlights if you’re looking for a specific card unless you have at least 4 saved up. I made the same mistake and will never again.
@@DietersYTHi, I'm a newer player, but i thought if you have 3 saved up its guaranteed to get all 3 spotlight cards? Can you explain how these work I'd be thankful 🙏
@@Viper76PLu can get 4 cards from spotlight, 3 of them are shown on the top of the screen and switch every week, 1 of them is a random mystery series 4 or 5 card or 1000 tokens. So there are 4 rewards in total and u need 4 caches to guarantee the one u want
@@Viper76PLThere's a fourth slot that holds a random 4th or 5th series card or 1000 Collectors Tokens. If you want to be guaranteed something in a week you need four spotlight caches.
Personally I think they could do an OTA with Loki. Remember they can change numbers. If they did it properly, they should be able to apply a patch on which cost reduction is 0. Would suck UX-wise, but can be done.
I haven't even unlocked Wave yet, but it's my favorite card, hands down. Its design is perfect. It does everything, and it does it well while still being far.
One of you guys ask if variants impact how much we like a card and 100% yes lol I love playing Bishop much more now that I got this SICK Jim Lee variant
I love these episodes and I look forward to them every Monday! One quick recommendation for improving it, can you each label your uploads with like A/B for which episode is first and which is second? Like, this episode could be 45A and Cozy could upload 45B so we can quickly tell which one to start with!
I think Loki's core mechanic is fun and shouldn't be changed. I agree that min 1 energy on the Loki discount is a reasonable change. Maybe even just changing Loki to 4 cost (so 4/5 stat line) would be a good nerf. It would delay Loki and hindering the combo potential on turns 4/5/6. Right now Loki is too flexible!
Totally relate to Alex's about-face on Shadow King because I used to hate him when he was a 4-cost. He should have been good! But he wasn't. And now he's finally lived up to his potential. I love him.
How about this: Collector, +1 power for each unique cards that gets into your hand throughout the game. Turn 2 drop him down. It gets +1 for each draw at most (since you can have rocks in your deck). Baseline, 2/6 at most by endgame with no other draw/generate card. Nerfs kitty/sentinels/bounce combo however. But then when you get to change hands as well, it only gets +1 for cards that you haven't "seen" this game.
My favorite cards in no specific order: 1 Venom 2 Loki 3 Wolverine 4 Agent Coulsin 5 Mystique 6 Rogue 7 Nimrod 8 Carnage 9 Magik 10 Mirage I guess I just love chaos and destruction 😈👹
Ongoing Collector allows you to play him late though. Maybe something like "+1 every turn you add a card to your hand". so Loki only gives +1 instead of +5 or just a "max 2 per turn". I don't think I ever thought "thank god that 1 cost card is now free" with Loki though. Either I have energy left over or no room if the cards go off well.
Tbh Collector is still fine in the deck without the Loki synergy. People just need to learn to be content with a 2/6+ without splashing another 5 power on him by playing a 3/5 with an insanely powerful standalone effect.
Leach turn 5 skip turn 6 alioth she hulk on turn 7........ 14 power swing or u can on 3 u go magik into wave on 4 alioth on 5 knull on 6 and turn 7 u play Zola or u can Shang into alioth into knul into zola
Loki don't need a change, he only needs a change if his counter comes out and it don't stop him. Though I do think it's weird they launched him without minimum of 1 because I feel like all Mana reductions should say that tbh even Death yet I love her and don't think she needs a nerf. It's future proofing, and creating uniformity that would be much easier to balance. I would say this should done to all that reduce mana cost unless if it's really unique like Mr Negative but tbf he don't reduce just swaps which means he don't have to apply anyway.
This is why I distrust the balance team and I'm considerong leaving it: they knew that cost reduction was a problem with zabu, thanos stones + quinjet + lockjaw, sera and yet they released Loki. Card that counters hard comes at the end of the month, plenty of time for them to sell season passes. Meanwhile, slot shadow king or shang and pray for no cosmo on colletor.
I know what Alex means about wanting to play a deck based on variants. Today I got a Thanos variant and even though it doesn't feel like a deck that's shining right now I had to give it a go 😅😅
@@Kyori888 I didn't mean that to sound like Thanos is bad, more that with that Soul Stone nerf it's just another bit of shine taken off him. First time I've played him since the change so it's something to get used to is all the one less card draw.
Also can you guys please do a video where you take the picks from your lists (most underrated, favorite, buff candidates etc.) And make a deck and run some gold conquest together? Think it would make for a good time loll
There's only two consistent things in marvel snap. 1. The snapchat is the best marvel snap podcast. 2. Alex is going to have Jeff in his top 10 favorite cards 😂
Collector triggering only once would ruin him because he would be bad with stuff like Moon Girl, Coulson, and Fury. You'd have to jump through hoops to get him anywhere near worth it
When it comes to testing cards, this might not be as obvious to everyone, but considering the size of the dev team and the amount of people that test the cards (I'm not sure what the size is), when thousands of Marvel Snap players getting a card on release, in just a few hours, the players have experimented with the new card exponentially longer than the amount of time the devs could have, just because of amount of people that now have the card. 2ndDinner could play test for 60 hours, but in the first night, the playerbase could have collectively tested it for, like, 1,000+ hours. That's just a fraction of the playerbase playing 1 hour each.
I would rather see Ham get reduced back to 1 and only hit cards that cost 4 or less. It would make him a rng disruption for cards like Loki or Triple M without killing late game. Empire strat....fear of the counter cards will keep the meta in line....
I've been saying, this Loki meta reminds me of the Leader meta. I'm getting beat by people that can't build decks and can't think for themselves, using my own cards against me. I'm taking a break this season atleast until Mobius comes out. I pride myself on building strong unique decks and it's just not feeling like a good place right now.
Also to your point Alex, the meta i feel was in the healthiest place its ever been at least in a very long time. I don't think it needed shaken up necessarily. And it even did more than shake, lets be honest, he broke it.
I do agree that Loki is probably overtuned, but I've loved what it's done to the meta. The decks I'm seeing are so creative and so cool, it's really awesome being able to play greedy high power decks to deal with other greedy high power decks. There's a lot more synergies happening between cards instead of just placing good stats on the board. The fact that Cerebro-3 has a legitimate place in the meta is incredible, I never thought I'd see that. Should Collector/Loki get nerfed? Probably, but this is genuinely the most fun I've had in Snap since pre-Beast nerf. There's just a lot of creativity happening, and a lot of thinking outside the box.
Nice hearing that, this is the reason I stopped playing the game. It sucks when such a big part of the playerbase sticks to the same decks, completely ruins the fun
I immediately soured on Loki because I was playing Tempo "Thief" Dino decks last month and felt like a cheeky off-meta boy who had found my personal deck... Only for them to release the most broken card imaginable for that archetype and suddenly all the meta-obsessed netdeckers are playing MY deck! And they're defending themselves by saying the archetype was bad without him! Paired with how hard Loki dumpsters Cerebro 5 it just made me not want to play. But after a week I will admit he's had a cool effect on the meta and has singlehandedly ushered us out of the "good cards" meta into a really fascinating "niche synergy" meta. But ironically Loki's synergy with Collector has made it into the only remaining "good stats" deck dominating the field. I love the effect, it's just the stats Loki can put out with Collector are blatantly over-efficient, to the point where I can't comprehend how the balance team didn't fix it before release.
@@nathankeunen9572 That's purely because people are too lazy to build their own decks so they just use what youtubers/streamers play so that's never really going away. It happens in every card game
I do love how no matter what the Meta is Patriot always sneaks in as a relevant play
Too true
Yup yet I've only ever used it twice, just It doesn't fit my style.
Though the meta is so good, I've hit infinite with a different deck every season.

That Iron Man gold banner is 🔥🔥🔥
I have two patroit decks that i don't think anyone else uses , a patriot juck deck w/ debrii hood viper maw juggernaut doom spiderwoman...
And a Patroit Sauron with lad and lizard maw typhoid redskull surfer rouge... I am what you would call a Jank enthusiast
Edit : leave the Collector alone😢
So i feel like if u put alioth in a deck with waves on 5 decks could be a game changer and win before turn 6
Did no one else play Collector Discard? I got a 20+ power Collector in that deck fairly often.
Can y’all do a grading system on which new cards you should spend your tokens on.
I'm very glad that we are getting to one year, one of my favorite weekly podcasts
14:46 yes a variant will do wonders for me wanting to play a card. That's why I don't want a shop tailored to what I play. Not too much.
What about instead of having the loki cards come into your hand, they are transformed into your oppo cards, like if you get spiderhammed ?
YAAAAASSSSS ANOTHER EPISODE, hi Cozy😂
I also just don’t think his ability would work as an ongoing at all.
they should make him a 5 cost for starters so Sera can compete. then kill or reduce the collector synergy and kill quinjet interaction.
I had enough Collector's Caches for three pulls this past week and I got everyone but Jeff. 😭
24:28 felt like Top 10 Anime Betrayal of all Time
I opened 3 spotlight cache and still didn't get Jeff, I'm so sad this week :(
Same brother. I got every reward but Jeff.
That "yes" from Alex when asked is Loki OP had me dying 😂😂
You and me, the sole Shuri-Cap players for the last year 😭
I love when people drop prof x in my echo lane then escape 😂
Personally I think they could do an OTA with Loki. Remember they can change numbers. If they did it properly, they should be able to apply a patch on which cost reduction is 0. Would suck UX-wise, but can be done.
Alex, would you and Cozy ever do a top ten list of your favorite Variants?
Thanks 🙏 for another awesome podcast/video
I haven't even unlocked Wave yet, but it's my favorite card, hands down. Its design is perfect. It does everything, and it does it well while still being far.
"Minimum of 1" kills the fun.
Best podcast ever i watch every week
One of you guys ask if variants impact how much we like a card and 100% yes lol I love playing Bishop much more now that I got this SICK Jim Lee variant
I love these episodes and I look forward to them every Monday! One quick recommendation for improving it, can you each label your uploads with like A/B for which episode is first and which is second? Like, this episode could be 45A and Cozy could upload 45B so we can quickly tell which one to start with!
It generally doesn’t matter what u start with but generally speaking they record cozy’s first
Cozy channel upload is always first :)
Loki could be a 3 cost 1 power card that does the same thing WITHOUT the cost reduction and it would still be S-Tier.
My favorite cards in no specific order:
1 Venom
2 Loki
3 Wolverine
4 Agent Coulsin
5 Mystique
6 Rogue
7 Nimrod
8 Carnage
9 Magik
10 Mirage
I guess I just love chaos and destruction 😈👹
My season report said i had 87 win percent when he was in my deck. One if my favs
Vision*
Ongoing Collector allows you to play him late though. Maybe something like "+1 every turn you add a card to your hand". so Loki only gives +1 instead of +5 or just a "max 2 per turn".
I don't think I ever thought "thank god that 1 cost card is now free" with Loki though. Either I have energy left over or no room if the cards go off well.
Tbh Collector is still fine in the deck without the Loki synergy. People just need to learn to be content with a 2/6+ without splashing another 5 power on him by playing a 3/5 with an insanely powerful standalone effect.
Collector is not the problem. Loki is. Make him a 3/1
I think Collector is only +10 if you have Loki mirrors, which is fine
I got him to 12 in bounce, once. He was promptly Shanged and I lost 😢
best way to start off my week
Personally, I'd nerf loki by just only draw 3 cards max, it doesn't matter how many cards you have in hand.
Shang is still used a ton, im not really sure what Cozy is talking about haha.
Leach turn 5 skip turn 6 alioth she hulk on turn 7........ 14 power swing or u can on 3 u go magik into wave on 4 alioth on 5 knull on 6 and turn 7 u play Zola or u can Shang into alioth into knul into zola
EASY FIX - On Reveal: Replace your hand with 3 cards from your opponents start deck and give them -1 cost.
I cannot believe cozy did not put aero on his list 😶
Loki don't need a change, he only needs a change if his counter comes out and it don't stop him. Though I do think it's weird they launched him without minimum of 1 because I feel like all Mana reductions should say that tbh even Death yet I love her and don't think she needs a nerf.
It's future proofing, and creating uniformity that would be much easier to balance. I would say this should done to all that reduce mana cost unless if it's really unique like Mr Negative but tbf he don't reduce just swaps which means he don't have to apply anyway.
Lol I love picking the Chiefs. They really a string team?
Love Loki!! And that Iron Man variant is amazing!!! It’s just too much to grab.
Best thing about Jean? The Grey Goose combo
Lmao
@@nathankeunen9572 It's funny, but the combo is actually back breaking if you play Jean on 4 and Goose on 5. They can't play a 6 drop on turn 6.
I feel like just removing the cost reduction from Loki altogether fixes him. There's still Quinjet of you want that.
I know what Alex means about wanting to play a deck based on variants. Today I got a Thanos variant and even though it doesn't feel like a deck that's shining right now I had to give it a go 😅😅
What. Thanos has been going crazy for the past 2 months. Thanos is really good right now.
@@Kyori888 I didn't mean that to sound like Thanos is bad, more that with that Soul Stone nerf it's just another bit of shine taken off him. First time I've played him since the change so it's something to get used to is all the one less card draw.
I named my new kitten Jeff lol Best boy
Change Loki to 'transform' instead of 'replace'. No longer works with collector. Problem solved!
Also can you guys please do a video where you take the picks from your lists (most underrated, favorite, buff candidates etc.) And make a deck and run some gold conquest together? Think it would make for a good time loll
That does sound fun!
@@AlexanderCoccia Yesss 😙🤌
There's only two consistent things in marvel snap.
1. The snapchat is the best marvel snap podcast.
2. Alex is going to have Jeff in his top 10 favorite cards 😂
Collector triggering only once would ruin him because he would be bad with stuff like Moon Girl, Coulson, and Fury. You'd have to jump through hoops to get him anywhere near worth it
I don’t see the reason of leech HAVING to be in the game unlike Shang chi and enchantress
Is there a reason why subtitles are disabled? 😭
I would rather see Ham get reduced back to 1 and only hit cards that cost 4 or less. It would make him a rng disruption for cards like Loki or Triple M without killing late game. Empire strat....fear of the counter cards will keep the meta in line....
I expect a 2/0 Collector, a 1/1 Quinjet and a 3/2 Loki with the next OTA. Dunno what would need a buff right now
I think you balance loki by taking away his cost reduction effect. keep the replace your hand effect 💯
I got Jeff this week and I let out audible excitement
Have loki only swap 2 cards and not the whole hand problem solved
I've been saying, this Loki meta reminds me of the Leader meta. I'm getting beat by people that can't build decks and can't think for themselves, using my own cards against me. I'm taking a break this season atleast until Mobius comes out. I pride myself on building strong unique decks and it's just not feeling like a good place right now.
Also to your point Alex, the meta i feel was in the healthiest place its ever been at least in a very long time. I don't think it needed shaken up necessarily. And it even did more than shake, lets be honest, he broke it.
Well said!
Dont change Collector! Leave him viable in other archetypes. Just make Loki draw random cards, keep all else the same
100 percent. They’ve nerfed bounce so many times. It doesn’t need another because people can’t adapt to play decks to counter Loki.
Loki could be a 4/4 and still be insane.
Am I dreaming or did I miss the Silver Surfer on Alex' list? :O
Can they give us The Dark Phoenix as a card already!!!!!
I keep legion pinned in my token shop
