I enjoy watching your videos and appreciate your vision. I also enjoy watching your recommendations whether good or bad. It helps me to appreciate different plants. My garden needs a lot of work which is going slowly because of recuperation. I love the different outdoor lighting with solar energy which is natural. Thanks for sharing this.
I enjoy Erin’s videos because she transplants from her own garden to fill in new beds. That is a good use of plants that need thinning and cheap enough for most of us to do. Thank you.
I agree. Who has a budget for 50 plants? Weekly? I am happy for those who do but it makes no sense for me to watch someone who cannot help me make use of what I have. I really appreciate those who teach me how to propagate and divide.
Erin has the best presentation around. She explains everything clearly and does not take herself or life too seriously. I learn a lot from her. Thank you so much for these videos.
This was the perfect video to watch on a rainy Saturday morning with a cup of coffee in hand. That path is amazing! Did anyone else immediately think of a task (or 2) when she mentioned not allowing circumstances delay projects you really want to do? Because I did. Currently, we have a sump pump hose cutting across our yard because we installed and piped the sump pump ourselves but never got around to properly doing the outside part of it. We COULD bring in a professional, but "all" that's left to do is dig a trench and install the draining hose. We haven't done it out of laziness, pure and simple. We have to cut through the cement walkway and digging a trench in clay soil is a TON of work. We did it our first summer here to install draining on another part of the yard and man, we WERKED. We had to use pickaxes.. it was a muggy weekend.. there were bees.. ugh, the flashbacks lol Long story short, I needed this inspiration. Sick of that unsighly hose cutting across our beautiful yard.
As I've aged I've begun recognize the need for the garden to be a safe accessible space and pathways and lighting are two ways to ensure that. Thank Erin, I love that you recognize that not everyone has a big budget and show us ways to work around that.
Those lights are fabulous! Not sure I have ever seen such soft but excellent helpful lighting in a garden! And who cares if you have dirt on your face - you're digging in the dirt!! 🧑🌾
We don't get to see many evening views from gardening UA-cam channels. I love that you do share these views occasionally, and this particular evening view is stunning. ❤
The path came out great; those lights are fabulous! Stachys H. is one of my favorite plants. It just performs its head off with very little attention from me. Can't wait to see how everything has filled in after a couple months.
Just lovely. Had no idea there were lights smart enough to be dim for ambience, then automatically brighten to illuminate a walking path. Brilliant! Everybody needs them!
The path and corresponding lighting add something that is both charming and practical. I feel absolutely inspired to not put off projects outside that are difficult.
The safety element of outdoor lighting was brought home to me when I took care of my daughter’s elderly dog. So it’s not only humans that benefit from a little pathway lighting! 😃 Everything looks terrific. It’s feels so great to get things accomplished. 👍🏻
That turned out beautifully. We had a similar path of limestone flagstones on mulch, and finally this spring we had someone come in and use the stones to create a solid path, filled with limestone fines and edged. As an older person with balance issues 🙂 I so appreciate it.
Hi Erin. Sometimes it’s better late then never… there’s always things we wished we did sooner. That’s just life. I really love how the path turned out now. Absolutely beautiful. Happy your vision worked out. ❤
Erin, I've been exploring lighting for my garden for about 6 months now, and I was completely unaware hoselink had lighting. It's gorgeous! I look forward to all of your videos to find wonderful inspiration for my garden. I love your path, so thoughtfully created. Thank you!
I’m a small scale landscaper and I always recommend Hoselink products to my clients, it’s amazing how many people, especially elderly people still try to drag around an awkward, heavy old stiff hose that’s coiled up on the ground.🤦♀️. I can’t wait to try their solar lights!
For my situation, I love my metal hose. They're lightweight and easy to coil. I have 3. Wish I'd known they come in longer lengths (online) than just 50'.
I love the look with the lights, but especially love the “on, off” switch so that they can be used only when needed. Light pollution is a major cause of insect loss, so it’s good to save the use of the lights for when you are having evening events in the garden. Not trying to be a bummer, and I do love the lighting! Awareness of the problem is the biggest hurdle.
Looks so lovely! I tackled a pain in the butt project myself in the past few days and it feels so good to have accomplished it. Living in a rocky area I managed to move and shape in a lovely flower bed with perennials and annuals topped with mulch. 7 years of wanting to do it in my head! I'm proud if what I accomplished!
The pathway looks gorgeous, Erin! Lighting can add such a whimsical element to the yard. I'm in the midst of working on our yard and adding plants in gaps to add some color. However, I currently have a 9 month-old newfie puppy, whom seems to think a freshly planted flower bed is a gift for himself to dig up, lol! (I'm sure you can relate to the newfie life, as well, ha!) Happy gardening - Ashley
My big pain in the butt project this year is a greenhouse build we are doing ourselves. I’ve been wanting a greenhouse for 20 years but there’s always a reason to put it off until this year when I decided it was now or never. I removed the sod one small square at a time by hand in April. Next we brought in gravel, levelled it, then decided we needed water, trenched that in, re-levelled, installed brick edging to contain the gravel, and built the frame. Left to do is install the glass. I’m two months in so far but getting closer. And I know it will be worth it in the end but it has been a lot of work. So, I totally understand putting off these kinds of projects.
What a beautiful, natural pathway. The lights are a real addition, functional yet subtle. I Really like the fact that they are motion activated to become brighter. Thank you for that additional bit of advise at the end. We all have projects that we put off, and we need to be reminded how much we will enjoy them if we 😊. Thank you for sharing.
We have a set of steps to our lower garden that needs to be redone. We’ve lived here 15 years, and finally this year is the one to get it done. Demo starts in 2 weeks (after a camping trip to the mountains). Seeing your completed project has me even more excited!!
I've recently come across your video's and I love what you do to your beautiful yard as well as your garden. You have a way about how you explain thing's which I can understand. I myself love working in my yard and in my garden to. The new step's you put in your path fits the landscape and it's so lovely at night. I look forward to watching what you come up with next. Also, the Lotus Pod and flower's bring back fond memories for me. When my little sister was alive we went camping here in Alabama. She and I got in her row boat and she knew exactly where the Lotus Pods were growing. That's exactly where we rowed to and picked some. We at the time made wreath's and the Lotus Pods were used as part of the decorations. Anyhow, thank you for sharing the Lotus because all I have now are the fond memories of my little sister and I picking them. She's no longer with us and I'm pretty sure she's picking Lotus unlike any Lotus on earth.
I Love how your path turned out Erin. ❤ The plants look Beautiful framing the walkway and the lighting is so soft and inviting!!! Your videos are such a pleasure to watch!!! I live in Wisconsin as well and love how your landscaping is very “Real” and doable for an average gardener. You have such a Great personality and I love getting new ideas from your videos. I only wish I could bring your zone to my area in central Wisconsin. Oh well, I can live it out through your videos! Thanks for doing such a Great job! Keep on doing what you do!!!!❤️🥰❤️
I enjoy how you keep it -saying so real sounds dumb, but that’s what I mean. You garden like I do, but with so much more skill and imagination. Those path lights add so much. Well done!
Erin, thank you for bringing us along! I feel like I'm right there with you, over for a cup o coffee. This path will be sooooo lush very soon! Congrats on the project!
Desperately need solar lighting with wooded back yard as a disabled senior. Bought 3 sets that do not stay lit long plus not last long in the past. House is in pitch black mountains NC. Creekside Nursery were given some and also just did video and giveaway. Jenny stated stay on ALL night! Beaitiful night garden.
Oh my goodness! What wonderful ideas you have given me for our VERY sloped back yard, that leads down to a little wooded area! The lighting is just stunning, and boy oh boy could I use them in multiple areas of my garden!
I love the new pathway and the lights. The lights would be a great addition to my slightly sunken patio, especially since they seem to be able to perform in areas with a little shade during the day. Really enjoy your channel - so many great ideas and tips I have received over the past few years. I was able to acquire a flat of gold hakonechloa grass this spring (thanks to Roy Dublin’s encouragement!) and the plugs were really small. I’ve been growing them on in pots, but was encouraged to see you planting some fairly small ones by the new pathway. The small plugs are so much easier to deal with in my heavy clay soil with lots of roots and rocks. My whole goal was to have enough of the grass to create a gold and blue foliage river along the pathway. You are a great inspiration.
Love the pathway and lighting! Gardens always look so different at night with the right lighting…..allows you to enjoy them in the evening instead of just during the day! Thanks Erin for all you do!!!
I’m newish to gardening and live in the Twin Cities so our zones are similar which is a huge help. I came across your raised bed veg garden video about a year ago and it helped me and my husband figure out how to tackle the ground for our DIY patio project. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Hey Erin! Love how peaceful your garden and new path looks and the lighting just really brings it all together! Thanks so much for sharing. The end scene where you show us how it looks at night…nothing better than being out in the garden at dusk in the summer surrounded by nature!! 🦉🌿🌾
Carrying plants with your face is apparently keeping you young and beautiful! I need to do that more often. 😄 I love the design of the pathway you created and how you designed the plant layout around it. Very inspiring. Thank you for sharing!
I'm surprised those lights pull enough energy to work in that shady-part sun area. That's awesome! Your path looks marvelous! I can imagine the plants in a year or two, and it's gonna be gorgeous and so natural looking❤!
The new pathway looks fantastic, and the solar path lights really take it to the next level. So beautiful. I don't think anyone will mind walking down this path ever again!
You have such an amazing garden, Erin! And you are the source of my dahlia obsession. 😃 I found you while I was in bed with COVID in January 2022 and have loved all your amazing garden inspiration as well as your detailed learning videos.
I love watching your garden evolve over the years. You always inspire me to get out in my garden and get some work done. Thank you for sharing your love of gardening with us.
I love the realness you give….the comment about the pot is so relatable. You know you want it, it’s gorgeous, but just not the time yet…I am guessing its that tourquise one you showed awhile back? Very artistic and looks handmade…I love those types of pieces as well.
I am so glad I am not the only one who loses things as I garden. Thank goodness I have learned to properly lay rakes and shovels down so if I do lose them in the dirt and I step on them I don't get injured anymore
I live in NE Illinois, so we have the same planting zone. You are my “go-to” for gardening information !! Thanks for sharing all your tips, info and advice … your fails as well as successes!😅 Love the pathway and lighting by the way!!😊 Happy gardening 👩🌾
I love that pathway. It’s not what everyone has! I never seen solar lights that brighten with motion either. Beautiful job. A lot of great inspiration here! Thanks for sharing this journey, it’s beautiful!
First and foremost, love how the path came out! Totally see ya doing the gravel on the other side in the future! Love how ya planted it up as well. Color but not relying on blooms and TEXTURE! the lights looks really good and I like how you uplit the trees.
"I've been carrying plants with my face."! Bwahahaha!!!!
I know...made my laugh! 🤣
Been there, done that 😂😂😂
I enjoy watching your videos and appreciate your vision. I also enjoy watching your recommendations whether good or bad. It helps me to appreciate different plants. My garden needs a lot of work which is going slowly because of recuperation. I love the different outdoor lighting with solar energy which is natural. Thanks for sharing this.
😊
Keeping it real!😂
I enjoy Erin’s videos because she transplants from her own garden to fill in new beds. That is a good use of plants that need thinning and cheap enough for most of us to do. Thank you.
I agree. Who has a budget for 50 plants? Weekly? I am happy for those who do but it makes no sense for me to watch someone who cannot help me make use of what I have. I really appreciate those who teach me how to propagate and divide.
The lighting makes you WANT to walk down that path at night ..I love the way the light casts its glow on the garden .. how enchanting.
I LOOOVE the final look of the path, with and without the lighting!
Totally agree! It’s encouraging to see a gardening channel that does realistic projects.
I love how the things you do are attainable to the average gardener without having to spend crazy amounts of money.
Did she say what the cost was?
Please add to the more “plants for your face” fund. xo
never would have believed that it could work out so well
Love how the lights are dim until needed! I’m a big proponent of not adding unnecessary nighttime light pollution that confuses wildlife.
Your walkway turned out beautifully and the solar light are the perfect touch!!👍🏼❤️
Wearing a garlic necklace to keep the hackers away!!😂🤞🏼
Speaking as someone who deals with shade in our gardens, the fact that the solar lights can still work is awesome!
Erin has the best presentation around. She explains everything clearly and does not take herself or life too seriously. I learn a lot from her. Thank you so much for these videos.
That's my favorite thing about her. She doesn't take herself too seriously and she makes gardening approachable.

I love that you're taking us through the install process and soooo appreciate your "Real gardening" for "real people"! Super fun. Thank you, Erin!!
It's those wonderful walkways that make our gardens feel like little rooms!
As I've aged I've begun recognize the need for the garden to be a safe accessible space and pathways and lighting are two ways to ensure that. Thank Erin, I love that you recognize that not everyone has a big budget and show us ways to work around that.

I always love to see Erin complete her planned projects. They are inspiration to be thoughtful and unique, and I live for that.
I've been looking for lights for 2 years, and I can't comment to any cause I haven't found the perfect ones! Thank you for sharing these videos. ❤❤❤❤
Just lovely. Had no idea there were lights smart enough to be dim for ambience, then automatically brighten to illuminate a walking path. Brilliant! Everybody needs them!
What an amazing transformation! Everything Erin does looks like its always been there and natural. The path is perfection!!
The path and corresponding lighting add something that is both charming and practical. I feel absolutely inspired to not put off projects outside that are difficult.
What a great project to accomplish! The lights are the perfect icing on the cake.
Wow! that path and the new lighting is stunning!! Congrats on a job well done and thanks for the giveaway Hoselink!!
Garden lights are my absolute favorite!! It’s one of the best ways to decorate a garden in my opinion. ❤
The safety element of outdoor lighting was brought home to me when I took care of my daughter’s elderly dog. So it’s not only humans that benefit from a little pathway lighting! 😃 Everything looks terrific. It’s feels so great to get things accomplished. 👍🏻

What a beautiful addition to your garden space!
I love how the lights bring life to the nighttime garden! Beautiful!!!
I love how the lights brighten as you walk down the path and that the light is focused down!
The lighting really is the icing on the cake for this area of your garden. Well done, Erin, on the whole project!!! 19:50
As the plants continue to grow over the pathway, it will feel more and more like a path into a secret garden. Love it!
The new path is so inviting and much safer. The lighting is perfect and does not detract from the plantings along the way. Good choice!
Hi Erin. Sometimes it’s better late then never… there’s always things we wished we did sooner. That’s just life. I really love how the path turned out now. Absolutely beautiful. Happy your vision worked out. ❤

Ohh! That pathway lighting gives me such jealousy 😅😊. I have been using the cheaper ones from big box stores. So beautiful!
Your pathway is so charming, love it. The solar lighting enhances it. Thanks for the video.
For my situation, I love my metal hose. They're lightweight and easy to coil.
I have 3. Wish I'd known they come in longer lengths (online) than just 50'.
I’m one of those seniors still dragging those heavy hoses. Got my eye on those hoselinks.
Hi Erin! The finished pathway is charming. I love the sound of footsteps on gravel....& The lighting is magical. ❤️🏡
Great job, so inspiring! I bought the globe lights from Hoselink after seeing yours last summer and love them. Path lights look super too!

What a difference! So natural, fits in with the landscape. Love the lights. So welcoming.
Your garden is so beautiful and natural. It's like a park you just want to stroll around with a glass of 🍷!!
The lighting adds such a soft & calming element to your garden but as they say, safety first!
I really appreciate how you borrow from your own garden - something I tend to forget about at times. It makes sense on so many levels!
Gorgeous pathway and those lights at night are the perfect finishing touch. It really elevates the space. Love it!

‘never fear’… my favorite phrase! The path transforms the area. I have two hoselink hoses. The lights look so interesting.

Outdoor lighting makes such a crazy difference in a space. Looks amazing

Love the new pathway with the addition of the lights . I think gardens are equally as pretty at night with landscape lighting .
There is just something so beautiful about lighting in the garden… definitely a nice touch to the garden in the summer evenings.

Erin, thank you for bringing us along! I feel like I'm right there with you, over for a cup o coffee. This path will be sooooo lush very soon! Congrats on the project!
Looks great
Love how you take plugs , root plants etc to have more plants.
Lightening knocks it up a notch..or two.
Beautiful and peaceful. Perfect for a walk about the garden at dusk with a nice glass of wine!
Love the path and the plants. Those lights really add ambiance. I love that they are dim until motion is detected.
Oh my goodness! What wonderful ideas you have given me for our VERY sloped back yard, that leads down to a little wooded area! The lighting is just stunning, and boy oh boy could I use them in multiple areas of my garden!
I love that I get to see real garden spaces with different levels of refinements in your videos. Thank you!
Looks absolutely fantastic!!!!! The lighting is just an extra safety and visual bonus!!! Wonderful!
You are so practical in your gardening approach. I like how you “slept on it” before you committed to plant location, smart!
Oh, I really love how the path turned out ... now it is super- inviting! It will only look better as those new plantings soften the edges. Love it.
Pathways especially the ones lit make for such beautiful accents and functional purpose! Well done!!
Everything has turned out beautifully!!!!! The lights add such a beautiful touch of whimsy, just BEAUTIFUL ❤❤‼️‼️
Love the pathway and lighting! Gardens always look so different at night with the right lighting…..allows you to enjoy them in the evening instead of just during the day! Thanks Erin for all you do!!!
The view of you walking back to your house looks magical! Well done!
The lighting really finished off the pathway! I like how all the plants looked so natural.
I’m newish to gardening and live in the Twin Cities so our zones are similar which is a huge help. I came across your raised bed veg garden video about a year ago and it helped me and my husband figure out how to tackle the ground for our DIY patio project. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Wow ❤ The path and lighting changed the whole mood of the garden ! I LOVE IT !😊
Carrying plants with your face is apparently keeping you young and beautiful! I need to do that more often. 😄
I love the design of the pathway you created and how you designed the plant layout around it. Very inspiring. Thank you for sharing!
I really like how natural your gardens look. You use unique plants. Enjoy watching all your videos. Thank you.
Erin- I appreciate your gardening expertise & your practicality! You’re an inspiration! Beautiful pathway!!!
I'm really loving it, the lights are like the cherry on top 😊
I'm surprised those lights pull enough energy to work in that shady-part sun area. That's awesome! Your path looks marvelous! I can imagine the plants in a year or two, and it's gonna be gorgeous and so natural looking❤!
Love the lights! Always a hit or miss with solar lights, they have improved over the decades
Its so great that you can buy solar lights that actually work. And what a bonus that its bright. Great job Hoselink!
Nothing adds more drama than some landscape lights. Love it❤
I love watching your garden evolve over the years.
Wow! The path is so inviting. I love how the lights get brighter as you walk the path...just beautiful.
I am so glad I am not the only one who loses things as I garden. Thank goodness I have learned to properly lay rakes and shovels down so if I do lose them in the dirt and I step on them I don't get injured anymore
Love your ‘real’ style of gardening and communicating!
I live in NE Illinois, so we have the same planting zone. You are my “go-to” for gardening information !! Thanks for sharing all your tips, info and advice … your fails as well as successes!😅
Love the pathway and lighting by the way!!😊
Happy gardening 👩🌾
I real love the garden path and the lights that make it come alive at night.
The solar lighting is the perfect finishing touch on a beautiful pathway! Love it and now I absolutely need it for my garden.
