Enjoying your content! TY! I have had my 2010 997.2 C4S for nearly 5 years now and I often consider moving into a 991.1 but the price difference to do so makes me wince. Maybe 1 day when I come across my unicorn but for now the 997 is an amazing car with real nimble sport car feel. I am a big guy and one of the lures of a 991 is the vastly different cabin space. Yes the 991 interior is more modern but the 997.2 oozes quality and doesn't feel lacking even after 11 years.
@@MRSPORTSCARSPORSCHE why do you recommend the C4S as the ideal 911? I understand the 997.2 comment, but why specifically C4S as I'm considering it too
Fab video as ever Raj, I’ve had my 2011 997.2 C4S for 6 months and your comments about having to work the car and grow into are absolutely spot on, the car rewards immensely once your used to it. Keep up the good work 👍
Thanks so much Michael, really appreciate it. I have an older comparison video with a 997.2 vs 991.1 also, it is also worth a watch too, in the same playlist. Many thanks, Raj
Thanks for the great video for comparison between 997 4S gen 2 and 991S gen 1. Actually I bought 991S gen 1 with a lot of options such as sport exhaust and san roof and etc similar to what you have and switched to 997 4S gen 2 afterward. Both are quite different cars. I totally agree to all of your comments. For me, for 991S, I felt that sport exhaust sounds was too noisy and too bobbling which tended to tire me. And also as for 991, I did not feel characteristics for RR as well as that of 997. Now, I intend to keep 997 4S for long.
Well that solves it...I need to buy both a 997 and a 991! Great video...absolutely the best Porsche reviews I've watched yet. How reliable is the AWD of the C4? And is the maintenance cost of the C4 AWD higher than the C2 rear wheel drive? I live in Texas, US where we rarely have icy or rainy conditions that would benefit from the extra traction of AWD. So while I love the wider body of the C4, if it means more often and more expensive maintenance then it probably wouldn't be worth it. I appreciate you helping me with this decision. Thanks.
Hi Gage, they are seriously both epic models and great owning. The AWD system is very low maintenance, other than an extra fluid change for the awd system itself, every 6/12 years in both cases. Thanks! Raj
Hi Raj, Im working my way up to a 911 997.2. great video and I will subscribe to you. Ive driven a carrera but not an s yet. Ill keep an eye on your stock and call if i see something that catches my eye!
Hello Raj! Love your videos and it’s content! I wonder how u look upon oil changes and how often they should be done? I want my 997.2 to last and take it to the Porsche dealer every second year accounting to the users manual, in between that, I do a oil change myself every second years. So in total, oil change every fall after approx 5000 miles / 8000 km. Is that enough? So people say, every 6 months no matter what the mileage? What’s your opinion ? 🙏🏼
Hi Lars, thanks for the kind words and your question. I think servicing every 2 years seems to be fine but for peace of mind doing what you suggest, an annual interim oil change can only be good too! Thanks, Raj
Porsche poured the profits from Cayenne, it saved the company to build this all new Porsche 911 991 Series. 991 will be my choice, no brainer. Last of analogue NA modern 911, you can’t go wrong with a 991, a future classic.
Had a 997.2 c4s and now 991.1 c2s, both great cars, 997.2 did try to kill me once, 991 feels easier to drive fast and more super car but for me is still a proper 911, sports exhaust sounds fantastic, 997.2 more of a classic feelLove both!
997 gen 2 all life long
They are great! Thanks, Raj

Excellent, no nonsense, comparison of the 997.2 and 991.1 4S model. Much appreciated Raj, as so many like that variant in the range.
Thank you Leo, they seem to be the favourites! Raj

Excellent video Raj ! You can't go wrong with a beautiful, blue metallic.I love both !
Totally agree with you! Cheers, Raj
997 all day long.
Out of the two I think it will be the recognised collectors Porsche, also more layers in the drivers experience too! Cheers, Raj

Concise review, really like the knowledge and effort you put into these videos. Thank you!
Thanks so much Marc! Raj
The 14 way seat in 991 is not great if possible go for 4 way Sports seat it’s much more comfortable
Thanks for your insights! Different people prefer different seats. Raj

ok, I have to know, what watch are you wearing at the start of the video? It's quite a good looking one!
Thank you Dakarius, it is my favourite, Tag Heuer Carrera Calibre 8 Automatic in Brown. Cheers, Raj
Man, I was about to buy a 991.1 S and in 2024 I can buy a997.2 4S for a lot cheaper. Now I have cold feet. Great video, joking aside
They are all great cars! Enjoy and good luck whichever you decide to buy. Raj

Great vid. But way too much advertisements.
That is down to UA-cam.
@@MRSPORTSCARSPORSCHE My apologies.
Regardless, your videos are very informative.
Thanks Tristan, appreciate the kind words. Sorry about the annoying adverts too!
The 997 interior looks heavily outdated. The 991 interior is far better and the car overall looks much better.
Thanks Lee for sharing your opinion, there was a big update on the interior of the 991 for sure. Cheers, Raj
