So nice!! after a month in bali i left that day and from the airport you saw the set waves pulling into balangan... such a nice wave! thanks for recording👍
Heard a soul was lost here last week trying to come in over the end reef at low tide and ended up drowning. Sad to hear about, also probably not going to be the last drowned this season on the Bukit. Know your limits, your entry and your exit strategy. Condolences to the friends and family. Great videos they keep me stoked!
@@SurfersofBali It's always a fine line between pushing your limits and know when to respect them. Thats also part of being a waterman i guess. We've all gone out and found ourselves litteraly, in over our head lol. Really sad new though, do we know any more details?
I surfed this wave with a twinfin and I had the best of times, it was a bit sad the piles of trash on the beach and floating on the water though, I really hope they managed to clean the place out.
Thanks for capturing this session legend! I will throw some tunes and make a nice little edit for memories. Yes fuckin sketchy coming in, and a massive workout. But Yew there were some fun ones. Cheers!
The safest place to come in is the South to middle part of the reef because there's less of a shorebreak there. But it can still be sketchy there on a big swell, just less so than the Northern end.
@@SurfersofBali Oh my, yes. I wan't even thinking of that, I was thinking of the normal reef area mid-bay. If you catch an extra long one, it can be a life-changing (or life ending) experience on a big day. Great video.
As someone who doesn’t surf but loves the ocean, all I can say is “Dayummmm!!!” 🤟 The surfers are great to watch, the bikinis, well they kinda speak for themselves (😎), but it’s your footage of the surf itself that captivates me. Your camera angles are great, and the way the sun shines thru the crests brings out that sea green you never see anywhere else in nature. Ahhhhhhhhhhh 😁😁😁
Love this place. Surfed here 3 years ago and had the best surf of my life!

Yeah tragic news. Knowing your own ability goes a long way to staying safe.

Where do you paddle out at balangan? Is there a rock jump or do you just have to go the long way round?
Walk out to the point and theres a little keyhole. You gotta time it hahaha
Or you just go straight out at a higher tide.
It’s my dream to surf waves like this one day
so few people out. Wow. Didn't expect that nowadays. Must have been an awesome sessions for the lucky ones in the water
Yeah, they won't forget that session for a while I reckon
Sick footage m8, you captured it from the perfect angles...cheers : )
Thanks mate, I was pretty stoked how it came out as well 🙂
Looks so fun. Being a goofy footer it can be torture watching some of these but cant help it. Lol Great stuff.
Learn to surf it front side.
@@Killemgrillem00 i do
@@df238 Right on, i surf fronside both ways, cant understand how peeps, dont. My backside works fine but when its large i would rather surf frontside.
@@Killemgrillem00 Right on.
But they’re lefts...? Goofy heaven

Your videos makes it hard not being bali! What tide was this one?
Looks like low to mid tide
Super sketchy at low tide (that's why it's uncrowded) but amazing lines... not closing. Wish I went 2 weeks later :'(
Thanx for the vid!be in may! Can't wait..
👍👍🙂
Holy smokes! Wave after wave, and no crowd at all - Hope you ate your wheaties for this sesh!😃 Happy Easter everyone🍻
Yep, hard to get out of the water when it's like this 🙂

Ha, stoked you found the clip. Looked like a great session 🤙
Balangan closes out a lot.
The most cinematic video yet, sublime.
Thanks the kind words 🙏🙂
Nice Angle for Balangan..Sik Video!!
Thanks mate 👍🙏
Great place! ☀☀☀☀☀🏄♀️🏄♀️🏄♀️🏄♀️🏄♀️
💯💯💯
Wow, Not a Racy Closeout This day. Rare Conditions and Low Crowds on The Crowded Bukit. Sick!
Yep, every meatball has it's day 🙂
Everyone in the comments is saying how sketchie getting in is and how one guy died trying to get in. just wondering how so you get in safely

If I die and go to surf heaven, this is what I'd expect to see. HOLY JAMOLY!!!!
🙂👍👍
2:30. I would not surf big Balangan on a low tide. Coming in over a shallow reef is no fun.
Yep, the reef at the end of the wave is particularly nasty.

Every spot in Europe would be packed with crowds having conditions like this day on Balnagan
Beautiful, pumping, uncrowded! Getting in and out looks like fun.
Yeah, not the most user friendly entry/exit 🙂

Thanks mate 🙏 I agree, when the water and the position of the sun hit a certain combo the colours can be pretty impressive.
I'm subscribing! Thanks again for your wizard videos!
Thanks for the sub mate 🙏
3:53 i love seeing this
👍👍👍
Poor guy coming in straight over the surgeons table
Just like paradise......
🤙🙂🤙
Wao ....beautiful

The takers definitely had balls. And that dude at the end got smoked just trying to get in.
💯👍

Just velcro some flojo’s to the top of your board dude.
Reef rash!! Ouch
Way too long - gonna have to paddle all the way back to surf another ;-)
🙂🤙
Never ride it until the inside*
Solid advice that 👍
Some people call this last section “Betadine” ;)
Semuerarpapa
too crowded for me pass.
Now I get it sob, you guys like torturing us from San Diego, knowing we’ll never get waves like this in our lifetime, that’s just mean sob just mean.😎
Ha, hurts so good though right 🙂
Surfers of Bali keep up the great work boys.🏄♂️
