Months and months of watching Pisces reaction videos and you are the FIRST one who mentioned the fishy plugs. 👍
Tatiana is extremely expressive both physically and in terms of handgestures and facial expressions in all her songs. In Teacher Teacher too, she's always telling a story. A real master performer.
And all that conveying of emotion in her physicality doesn't even start to approach what she's doing with her voice itself.
That's 100% her. Tatiana is an AMAZING vocalist. Her ability to transition between the most beautiful, angelic cleans, to, deep, guttural growl is unmatched. She also writes most of the lyrics. Her lyrics are very deep, intelligent, and, insightful, all written in a second language.
Actually it's 200% her, cause the vocals are layered twice to create kind of an echo effect. Ehe ehe
Her vocals are layered and dropped an octave. That's why her voice sounds so rich and deep.

"Pisces" is the ink blot test of metal. We metal heads get thrown by the melody by comparison. Based on your thoughtful reaction, you may really appreciate "I Speak Astronomy" from 'King of Everything' and "Perennial" from their EP 'Micro'. The musicality and taste of "Pisces" is no accident! They have been grinding for years, but had a slow start because of where they are from. Must say, your reaction is one of the more interesting ones because you appreciate the whole band while still recognizing the absurd vocal talent that is Tati. Most people are just speechless or start cursing, lol.

For people that aren't normally into metal music Ghost Love Score by Nightwish will ease you into it nicely. Watch the Live version from Wacken 2013. They're symphonic metal and their vocalist is the best there is.
And then wait for Ann Waychoff to appear. Because she will and she will explain EVERYTHING Nightwish.
But yeah, definitely need to get Nightwish on your radar.

First reaction I've seen where they comment on her little hand gesture at 3:18. I love it. She's clearly telling a story with this song, you can see it in her hand gestures and body movement. She gets this really predatory look in her eyes right before the harsh vocals kick in as well, really awesome imo. Just icing on an amazingly well-composed song.

The 3 Jinjer songs that aren't mostly growling vocals are Pisces, I Speak Astronomy with only a bit of growling, and Bad Water with none. The heavier videos get more into deep environmental and social commentary though. I never liked growling vocals until I discovered Jinjer. Tatiana brings the feels in every song. If you aren't used to listening to the words through the growls, I recommend reading the lyrics (though at least for Pisces, a lot have incorrect lyrics "scale armor blaze virgin innocence" instead of "scale armor belies virgin innocence". AZLyrics has the correct version)

As others have mentioned, I think you would like Symphonic Metal. It is very different from most other types of metal. Try reacting to "Nightwish". The song you want is: "Ghost Love Score' and you want the live performance from the "Wacken Open Air" concert in 2013. From what you have said, I think you will really like that. The singer, "Floor Jansen" is amazing, one of the best female singers of her generation.

@@jaysgianflor2513 It is, but GLS shows moe of the symphonic elements, which is easier to get somene who just stated to like blends of metal with other genres. Romanticide is more straight up metal.

The album, King of Everything, is awesome, though. Two years ago I had a temp job and at night i would drive home from the christmassy new-yearsy atmosphere with this on my car-stereo.
The songs still get me in the same mood: exhausted, exhilarated, happy-ish.
The drastic changes are part of the meaning of this song. Pisces is about duality and the human tragedy. The meaning is displayed in the lyrics, the way its sung and played, as well as the name of the song.
That was one hell of a great reaction, way to go, respect 2u

You'll probably like I Speak Astonomy better. The official video is beautiful, but the live video from Summer Breeze is pretty great even though the sound isn't quite as good. It is cool seeing what she does live and unedited. Pisces has some editing to make the sound pop more. If you watch Who Is Gonna Be The One, I'd recommend reading the lyrics first - it is mostly growls but really well-written and profoundly meaningful.
I do agree with Who is Gonna Be The One LIVE. That song just punches you in the face and Tatiana is freaking awesome live. Don't miss the sick bass fill going into the second verse.
@@fubar1217 It is a great protest song - asking basically "who is gonna be the one to stand up to all the messed up stuff in the world." Of course it is really saying we all have to be "the one" but people in a crisis usually wait for someone else to be the one. Good stuff.

I got obsessed with jinjer and bought all their albums. lol.
More and more I am seeing metal reactions and this is cool knowing that the genre is finally getting recognized more. Nightwish is getting recognized from Ghost Love Score live which is one the best live performances by the band. Epica is starting to get recognized, Unleash The Archers is getting recognized this is amazing and this shows that mainstream music isn't the only thing to listen to. Thank you for not being harsh and closed minded on the our genre.

The wardrobe, look and facial expression all add more to the presentation. She has good vocals, I wouldn't say great. But over all shes a good good performer.
We all thought was another person in the chorus until you confirm is her singing all in their live videos of this and other songs.

Yes, you are the first reactor I've watched who really emphasized Tatiana's hand gestures and i could tell by your expressions that you were also impressed by her body language, which along with her growls is a bit menacing to some reactors. Especially those who think it sounds Demonic after being overly influenced by horror movies. I've seen 3 male reactors who were so freaked out they chose not to finish reacting to this video. Most likely what it is that makes this song more accessible is the fact that it is a very melodic songs. Mixing heaviness with melody is pretty much always a win.
You commented on threw fish in her earring. It's all a part of the theme of the song and video. That added to the fish references in the song combined with the song title itself. Pisces is an aquatic symbol in astrology - it's symbol is of dual fishes

I always recommend folks who are new to growling vocals (I am - never liked growls until I discovered Jinjer) to read the lyrics of Who I Gonna Be The One if you watch it. Their songs are deep and well written and the lyrics are an important part of what makes Jinjer special.

The song is about the personification of a fish, like in the astrological sign of Pisces. It just so happens that it is also the same astrological sign she was born under in March...

I recommend Nightwish ghost love score live at wacken open air 2013. Long story short. Nightwish is a symphonic metal band from Kitee, Finland. The band was formed in 1996 by lead songwriter and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen, guitarist Emppu Vuorinen, and former lead singer Tarja Turunen[1]. The band soon picked up drummer Jukka Nevalainen, and then bassist Sami Vänskä after the release of their debut album, Angels Fall First (1997). In 2001, Vänskä was replaced by Marco Hietala, who also took over the male vocalist role previously filled by Holopainen or guest singers. Their current singer is floor jansen. She's the third singer second to anette olzon and the original singer Tarja Turunen.
If you feel the song, it has a flowing motion to it. Almost like a fish swimming through a river. This song is so perfect in that the lyrics, tempo, composition, and vocals all emulate the life and duality of a Pisces. Honestly it has to be one of the best written songs I've ever heard.

There are a lot of metal bands with excellent female lead singers besides Jinjer and Nightwish. Seems every channel has to react to those 2 bands or they get kicked out of the club or something.
I suggest SynlakrosS - Dark Seed, Patricia's growls are amazing. They also do an awesome cover of Nightwish's Wish I Had An Angel if death metal growls are too much for you.
A couple other bands with female singers are Frozen Crown, Rage Of Light, Battle Beast, The Dark Element, Delain, Forever Still, Nervosa, Dust In Mind, Visions Of Atlantis and Burning Witches. Try a couple, I think ye'll like it.

It's crazy how she can sound damn near demonic, but be incredibly girly/feminine at the same time.
Love some of her hand movements while she does the more aggressive parts. Always makes me think of a lioness.

I think the best thing about Jinjer is that you don't have to be in to super hard metal, I've said this on other channels but the most interesting thing about Tatiana's vocals are not the growling and screaming, what she does with her clean vocals, at least within the metal genre, is so good like she injects R&B, Power Ballad, Flow, Pop, she can do so much + to my knowledge (and someone more knowledgeable can correct me on this) women have been growling in metal since the likes of Tarrie B of My Ruin in the late 90's and Angela Gossow of Arch Enemy in the early 2000's, this isn't new is my point. So please check out more Jinjer, there's so much more to them than just being another metalcore band.
