    One of the main reasons I like your videos is because of the optimism. Things happen and even when times are tough you understand that it’s better than a 9-5 and you keep pushing

      If you aren’t careful you will go broke quick in Rv transport. I know first hand. Went through 3 trucks doing Rv transport and still leased on with a company with a truck that’s out of commission right now.

    I feel your pain... I want take care of my truck, 2013 f450 with low miles running perfect. Thinking of getting all the fluids changed but concerned what may happen. You can not even get a concensus on when to change tran, diff and tranfer case. Seems Ford wants you to wait, so it wears out and you have to pay...or buy another truck? I have 35 thousand everything is great right now... I did replace tires because they aged out and were coming apart! 😮

    That's a normal molding indentation on that tire FYI. Also, it's typical for the right side tires to wear first due to powerflow etc.

    Mine did this at 30,000 miles 2023 silverado 2500 6.6 duramax
    It decided to do it two days before I was going to start RV transport. I guess I'm happy it happened at home and not on the road, mine did the exact same thing yours did took it to the shop and they told me it was the valve body in my transmission that was going bad. I called all over the united states and nobody had it and if they did it was promised to someone else it took a solid month from order to receive the part.they said there was no for sure time frame for parts to arrive but the one month wait was pretty standard on the valve body amd no aftermarket options for it yet either good luck man. P.S. I've been running RV transport for just over a week now.

    Definitely replace them tires are one of the most important things on your vehicle because it's the only part of your vehicle that touches the road

    Only reason my truck runs so well is because the only shop it goes into other then tires because I don’t own a tire machine yet is my shop. I think it is different when you are doing your own work. You are more meticulous because you worked hard for what you have. I understand that not everyone one can though.

    Imagine counting on the income from pulling campers with your truck and it goes down for a few months waiting on repairs. It would absolutely suck to still be paying for living expenses for a family, a truck payment, and high commercial monthly insurance premium and not be making money. RV transport is for those with another form of income that pays the bills and you can run RVs to offset traveling the country.

      @@TheRiverstoneLife you're exactly right, that is life but I see a lot of people commenting on the videos (not just yours) wanting to get into RV transport based off the good side of being in the transport business and they need to be aware that it's not all rainbows and sunshine. If you're going to do RV transport as a means to providing for a family, then you're taking a gigantic gamble. I personally feel it's only viable for someone with another form of income and wants to offset travel expenses to see the country. I personally know 3 people that got into it. All 3 having many years as a CDL holder. 1 lasted 2wks and went back to trucking. 1 lasted a total of 8 months but had to switch to multihaul shortly after starting because he couldn't make enough pulling singles and the came back to trucking. The 3 is still going but struggling. He wore his initial truck out while still owing money on it and went way upside down on another one which with the miles you have to put on he will wear it out before being paid off and be in even worse shape. I say all that not have been in RV transport personally but I came across it and started checking it out and been following the industry for about 7 years now. Maybe when I decide to retire, I'll give it a go but to me the numbers just don't add up to do it for a living . Even tho I haven't done RV transport, I've had my CDL since 96 and have experienced quiet a bit in the transportation business.

    Maybe your tranny will work better under load.
    I remember a transmission shop told me after high mileage on a never serviced transmission. Don’t get it serviced with the transmission flush. Just change the filter and replace fluid.
    Those power flush machines will loosen up particulate which is never good.

    • @TheRiverstoneLife
      @TheRiverstoneLife  3 місяці тому +1

      We found out that they don’t flush on the newer vehicles - they just drain the fluid and change the filter - we still had the problem 😭

    The old Allison tranny was bullet proof. I don’t think These new 10 speeds are actually a true Allison. My 2014 Allison has 600k miles and never had the pan dropped. Only external filters. Good luck

    • @TheRiverstoneLife
      @TheRiverstoneLife  3 місяці тому +1

      Apparently these “new” Allison transmissions are now built by the car manufacturer and it’s a complete joke. There should be another lawsuit for this mess. Btw thanks - we need luck 🍀 right about now lol
