    will this fit on a 2003 audi a6 2.7 t quattro bi turbo all wheel drive ? and if so, what is the part number please ? thank you good sir....

      2003 falls into the C5 chassis / platform, so yes... should fit. Ito order / get the part number through th Audi Dealership (via your VIN number). Once you have the part number, you can do online searches for one that is priced right for you. You can also look for the part in this online catalog:

    Thanks for the great help with this vid. Can you tell me what the part number is or where you got the replacement lock module?

      Mike Ferris Should be available through Automotive Parts Stores that deal with European models... if not, the Audi Dealer is the best place for the correct fitting part, or at minimum, can supply you with the correct part number for your vehicle (using your vehicle vin), so that you can find the correct part online.

    Thanks for the video. I'll wait for my microswitches to arritve and try to install them. By the way, can I get away without removing the window frame if I'm only changing the microswitch at the bottom of the lock (the door open/closed sensor)?

      Don't know. I always remove the frame when I'm working on the lock assembly. Let me know if it's possible.

      It is possible, but then there is not that much space as without the frame.

    Hej Thomas, Why was the lock replaced? Was it to fix interior light coming on, foot well lights not coming on?

    • @EXOVCDS
      @EXOVCDS  10 років тому +1

      I believe this one was setting codes for alarm being triggered by driver door (door-open switch would intermittently malfunction).

    hello. made the same thing but now the door wont open. I tested it without the inner panel and worked. put everything together and also worked. Closed the car by remote and reopened and the door wont open also from the exterior or interior. do you have any suggestions on what I could have done wrong?

    • @EXOVCDS
      @EXOVCDS  6 років тому

      Not sure... aside from the release adjustment. When the door handle pulls on the latch (follow the linkage to the latch)... if the adjustment is too tight, the latch can not return fully and the next time the handle is pulled, it can prevent the latch from opening.

    Hello! I would have to change the driver's door key lock cylinder completely. Is it to do this same work that the prompt and successful part of that? Thanks!

      +Make Kalli Yes... to release the key cylinder, you have to remove the inner door panel and then slide the release plate (gold color metal plate) to release the key cylinder.

    Does this control the remote unlock/lock on my keys? I can't get my car to lock or unlock with my remote, could this possibly be the problem? Or is this only for the manual locking/unlocking?

    • @EXOVCDS
      @EXOVCDS  10 років тому

      Bojan Srdanović No... I'm still at work, will reply again once I get home tonight.

    • @EXOVCDS
      @EXOVCDS  10 років тому

      Bojan Srdanović This "lock module" is just an "input & output" device for the central locking module. The remote sends a signal to the central locking / comfort module and they send a signal to the door module (to lock or unlock).
      You need to make sure that the battery in the remote is good and then you need to "match" the remote to the vehicle. Sample video: mk4 and B5 Remote Learning with VCDS by Ross Tech

    Hi, i have som problem with my A6 C5 avant. the front door right side is unlock but the other sides is open, is there is any way to open the door/panel without distroy it..?

      Part one shows the removal of the panel:
      Audi C5: Allroad Driver Door Lock Module Removal (Part 1)
      I don't think the panel can be taken off with the door closed (without breaking it)... a "Slim Jim" (used by Tow Truck Drivers) might be able to get catch the locking linkage and release it, but I'm not sure.

    Hey, rear right door lock change needed.Is it similar to front doors?

    • @EXOVCDS
      @EXOVCDS  8 років тому

      +Gerardas Linevas Window & frame can stay in place... run window all the way up, remove the door panel and then you can remove the door lock.
