Finally a new good looking SUV by reliable Japanese premium Mazda, And not a boring ugly one like Toyota plastic and Koreans make. The interior looks better in white in a higher trim model, And the engine Sounds good too, Hopefully it'll be reliable. Too bad it'll cost over 100k$ in my thief country.
Really like this car. I am moving from the USA to Portugal soon, and this is one of my favorites. I am thinking it might be too large for much of Portugal, however. hmmm.

Nice video as usual! In the acceleration above 60 Km/h it's whining like a Hellcat with the supercharger. Why is that? Is it coming from the speakers? Though somewhere i've read it's coming from the transmission.
Its a plug in hybrid (engine + electric motor). The whining is from the electric motor.. The electric motor is situated between the engine and the transmision, replacing the torque converter. It is automatic transmision with 8 speed.. not dct. Also it has amplified engine noise in speakers in sport mode..
@@ahsanmalik1013 its not dual clutch transmision. Its an classical 8 speed automatic produced by Aisin. But without torque convertor. The torque convertor is replaced by an electric motor and some clutches.. but is not dual clutch, does not have 2 sets of gears like dct. This transmision îs like Mercedes amg SpeedShift MCT witch is a 9g-tronic with multi clutch technology.
@@sil778 Some clutches would be double clutches aka dual-clutch. This is dual-clutch; very same transmission that will be applied in bigger diesel and petrol engines as well. This transmission is new and straight from Mazda whereas Toyota transmission aka Aisin cannot fit inside longitudinal architecture. Aisin transmission is only suited for transverse platform - even then, Aisin transmission are driven by torque converter only. I prefer zf 8-speed which is perfect for longitudinal but too bad, Mazda is trying its own developed transmission.
Seemed fine to me when I tested one a couple of weeks back. Some suspicion that some early press cars were not using the final setup. The 20" wheels are never going to help - I opted to stick with an Exclusive line (18" wheels ) and add a couple of packs.

I do find it odd that they released a new SUV outside of the US first; purely based on the fact that the only two brain waves most buyers have here : SUV or Truck.

It is dual clutch which makes no sense droning like cvt, maybe it is natural aspirated engine from Toyota that mares buzzing noises.
Its a plug in hybrid (engine + electric motor). The whining is from the electric motor..
The electric motor is situated between the engine and the transmision, replacing the torque converter.
It is automatic transmision with 8 speed.. not dct.
Also it has amplified engine noise in speakers in sport mode..

Watching him go over the horrible brick road and bounce around, it seemed to absorb the roughness pretty well.
Why The steering wheel isn’t controlling the car like other cars?
If you want to turn around you need to turn the steering wheel more than other cars

I test drove one and it was very quiet and comfortable at 'normal' UK motorway speeds (i.e. over 120KPH).
How are the ride & steering? Stiff and heavy like the 3, or more comfortable?
Still Stiff and heavy. And the car is bouncing hard on every hole and obstacle

top speed are too low for 328hp but probably it eats too much fuel at higher speeds and 3,3liter diesels with 200and 254 hp will be better choices
