- As most of the world slowed to a pandemic-induced halt this year, the space industry rocketed forward. SpaceX launched NASA astronauts to the International Space Station, Three separate missions blasted off to Mars and a robotic spacecraft hundreds of millions of miles from Earth grabbed the largest sample of an asteroid ever captured. Looking back on 2020, space turned out to be a relative bright spot in a particularly dark year.

Elon Musk is the biggest hero there ever was and will be. He has inspired so many generations, and will definitely leave his legacy of love and hope on the world. He is my true hero in life. The only person who could pick me up when all hell broke loose in my light. His videos were all I had to keep my inspiration. God Bless him to the moon and beyond. What an incredible inspiration to the world. No words to describe such a soul. His mother is an incredible gift to this world. She raised that child with big dreams. 🥰👣🥰🦋🌈👣🚀🙌

What a fantastic video, magnificently edited! Despite all the shit that is going on in the world right now, it was the best year for spaceflight/exploration in my lifetime (15 yrs) so far! And I know for sure that the coming decades will be even better. Once again a masterpiece of video, every time I watch these vids: goosebumps!

Probably the best year since 1969 given multiple new vehicles flying for the first time (Starship (ish), Astra, Crew Dragon (crewed) Cargo Dragon 2, another flight of Angara A5, and 3 Mars missions).
It's quite true and may be the next space association will be named from India as spaceinfinity

I cant belive SpaceX has made the most advanced reilabity of 98 % reusabale rocket without paharachutes and lands on land..
they said"F*** those parachutes,its too easy(HARD)....lets land it using the engines with some landing legs...." and now the new one for super heavy"ditch the landing its too easy,lets catch super heavy mid-air cuz you know why not"

What a year it has been for #TeamSpace - Glad to have been able to document every Rocket Lab launch this year (unofficially for the first 2 launches of the year then officially ever since)
An absolutely huge year for everyone involved in the rocketry industry. Controlling explosions to send things into space is about as fun as it sounds.

I’m glad humanity came this far.
And we are going to make a new home on outside earth.
Because human ambition is to get as far to beyond to success of greatest human achievement.
Even tho we have suffered on this planet. Its very nice to see that even through dark times we as a race continue to push the limits of our technology for the benefit of everyone. And it brings a smile and hope cause going to the moon or mars doesn't seem so long away anymore. Great video

2020 might've been shitty but at least SpaceX and other private space companies graced us with these glorious views
For some "unknown" reason NASA cost shitloads of money to make their rockets while SpaceX is doing awesome stuff for much less.
That "unknown" reason is that Spacex can do whatever they want even if the risk is high, and Nasa connot because they use tax money...
@@maddi5920 NASA not only aims in exploring space but another important reason for its existence is for providing better opportunity for businesses. NASA either give contracts for building rockets to more than a company providing a lot of employment. These individual companies are given profits. Then NASA also give contracts to SpaceX where SpaceX profits a little. SpaceX on the other hand acquires all the resources together and build them on their own helping them to save a lot of money. Then there is reason such as presidential and government opinions aiming either moon or mars in every consecutive 4 years. NASA is also divided by a lot of branches. For it has teams for Moon , and almost all planets in our solar system and study star systems compared SpaceX only have a single long term goal such as mars colony and short term like orbital and moon mission contracts. NASA have a huge responsibility on looking after the ISS which consumes a large part of its budget. NASA also don't get paid for moon mission as it is the one that give contracts to SpaceX Blue origin etc . Still I ❤️ SpaceX as well as NASA and anyone involved in space exploration.

Relentless progress pushing the bound of space was made this year. What's even more heartening that is more and more of the best and brightest are wanting to join the effort as people again are believing that we will see man set foot on Mars and realize other dreams of exploration in our lifetime.
I'm proud of my country. We have our own little space agency. Great video btw :))

2020 was bad for present but good for future
2020 was a good year for spacex (Falcon9 and Falcon Heavy great performances, but the ship's progress was very, very good), I think the video had no virgin galact with its "space plane", but in most proportions it was very good year for space exploration.
