@@wanderingwithwine thank you for sticking with the somewhat lower price points this week. Let’s face it, the prices don’t seem to have any rhyme or reason; Although, maybe I’d understand better if I really knew the areas.
Hi@@dianesardone4499 Prego, and thank YOU for joining us! The prices can be whacky. Some of it has to do the owner’s situation - houses are usually on the market a long time in Italy. So, some folks start out low in hopes to sell faster, or drop the price drastically to move on. Hope you have a great week ❤️
Thank YOU for joining us, @@lynnburlingham8160 🥰 So happy you like it as much as we do!! Kind of obsessed with this one. Very grateful you stopped in to visit with us ❤️✨
Soggiorno is Italian for "stay", I find this lovely as it is a room to meet/eat and converse. A soggiorno is typically a kitchen, dining and living room in one room. Italian apartments and homes were small and space had to be multi use. Only wealthy people had a room for each function.
OH! Dear you 2!! SO adorable!! Loved the option 2! So cute. The Pisa tower was built durinf 200 years so I dont understand exactly the question but love to listen and dream with you of a NEW life in Italy one dayXOX
Hiii Sissi 👋🏼 You’re so sweet, thank you!! For the Leaning Tower of Pisa question, looking for the historic time period, the Middle Ages. Appreciate you joining us for the fun!! Have a great week ❤️✨
I really like your content and the way you present it! I love the star balls, but prefer the stone exposed. The flooring in the first house is beautiful! The second house is very nice with the outdoor space and garden. Love the stone and wood in this one! I can’t choose my favorite, I could be happy in anyone of these homes.
Hey Shannan! Thank you so much! Those ceilings are great and I agree with you with the exposed stone. It was hard for me to pick my favorite this week especially when we watched the episode back! 😂
That’s so kind, Shannan!! We love star vaults too, and totally understand the exposed stone preference. We were surprised to see star vaults at all in Liguria. It was a tough week to pick a favorite, but fun for us to feature nice properties for the fam!! Appreciate you popping in to join us for the fun ❤️✨
Great video - as always - you two lovelies! The main home was really beautiful and also great value for $$. The views were to die for too. I actually loved the 2nd & 3rd OMW even more though. Even better value that they come furnished. Loved the ceilings & the HHT on the 3rd OMW - just gorgeous. I did terribly on the quiz this week - didn't get one right. Thanks for your continued hard work finding these treasures - and thanks for keeping us all smiling & giggling throughout. Have a lovely week, salute!! 🥰🥰🍷🍷🥂
Hiii love!! Thank you ❤️ We were pretty happy with the finds this week. We were pleasantly surprised to see so many star vaults too. The quiz was ROUGH, B chose the questions 😅 Hope you have a great week 😘
@@wanderingwithwine what was the price of that first house? I found it to be perfect. I plan to go to Italy next year to buy a house. But I really love the location that house
Ciao amici and thanks for such a great selection from Liguria, which I love! We were there this year in June and I said to David, I could easily buy a place there. They have gorgeous architecture, as you so beautifully demonstrated through today's choices. The seaside "architecture in Italy is quite different to the country properties. The home are also quite colourful externally on the coast of Liguria...so pretty and gelato coloured! Loved the first 15th century property...just perfect but the others were all fabulous and great value! See you next Friday...baci and salute! 🥰🤗😘🍷🍷
Happy you like them too, Marisa!! We were quite happy with the finds this week. We totally get it, the architecture is so stunning. Liguria is a very interesting region, lots of different options. Like we say, there is something for everyone in Italy. Thanks for visiting with us, we are so grateful for you and David. Have a wonderful week ❤️✨😘
Ciao amici caras! An interesting area choice. And More Fab U Lous Finds! just a 15th century, carved doorway 😁 All with exceptional character, those star vaulted ceilings, all the stonework, outdoor spaces, and that gorgeous moulded ceiling! Dio mio! Love your work! Bravo, ciao & Salute! 😁🏘🧡🍷💐
I agree with you on these properties Corrina - having a hard time choosing my fave! 😂 We are in the holiday season and I am feeling Jolly!! 😁 Have a great weekend and see you next a Friday - Salute! 😁🍷❤️
🤣 We loved the homes this week, glad you did too!! Knew the temps wouldn’t be your favorite though 😉 Thanks so much, Corrina ❤️💚 Our favorite time of year (as if you didn’t already know)!!
I love all of them, but probably in this order 3,4, 2,1 mainly because 3 and 4 are in the historical centre and 1 is on a river (flood). Number 3 is so unique, and those ceilings!
It's amazing that the first property is only 110K euros!! Ok, should have watched the whole video before I commented. All these properties were well priced! The trim work in the second one was unreal! I don't remember a 3rd bedroom in that first property. I really liked the furniture in the last one. I don't usually want to keep most of what I see in furnished properties, but I loved that midcentury modern stuff!!
Hi Shannon!! Isn’t the price for #1 wild 🤯 I’m kind of obsessed with it!! So happy you thought the homes were well priced. Love the molding in that property too - stunning!! Probably could’ve said 2/2, the third bedroom could be one of the “flex” spaces, you know the homes in Italy can be wonky but they can be flexible depending on needs. We are the same with the furnished properties but sometimes the furniture works for us, like in the Marche home a few weeks ago. The furniture was top notch so we’d take it. Thanks for joining us!! 🥰❤️✨
Outstanding selection. Love the ceilings and the tile work. How many people had to pause the video and run to the restroom when you played the water sound effect.😂 YES... Tacos!!! As always, we adore you two. Sorry, we can't always watch when released. Still answering to the man. Planning a trip to the abruzzo area in October. We'll take you with us in spirit. 👍
Hi Tim! If you want to stay in Italy, Genoa is closest. Nice, obviously in France, would be second and then Cuneo in Italy. Also depends on which country you’re flying from, if you want direct flights, airline preferences, etc. Point is, lots of options depending on needs ☺️ Thanks for popping in!
@ I’ve lived in Imperia to the south of Pieve di Tesco, it’s stunning, Genova airport doesn’t have many flights, where as Nice has a lot more, it’s a much better supported airport, with direct public transport links, for this one, whilst Genova is closets as the crow flies, it’s seriously less continent, to the point most locals in Genova travel to Milan, Piss or Nice to fly! Covid absolutely ruined the business at Genova airport sadly.
Finally I got to see this video! What a week! OMG I love the last two. They are perfect. Even though near the Alps and being earthquake zone. Heck what part is not over there?!...ok maybe Catalonia! But still, you'd have all seasons in Liguria which is wonderful. All were pretty great except those darn floating stairs...ugh.
I can’t EVEN! I want to go NOW! Question- we are retiring there. If there are any older people out there, do you think the Liguria climate is too cold for older bones?! lol
I think it depends on you. I know my old sports injuries bother me with weather change, but I think the Italian changes are less drastic. But I do follow the temps in my target cities just to see how they are doing.
