- In this video, I will go over the herpes signs and symptoms that are very specific to herpes outbreak and differentiate it from other genital skin conditions.
My name is Slava Fuzayloff and I am a physician at STDcenterNY. We have been dealing with different aspects of herpes testing and treatment at our facility for more than 20 years.
I will tell you about nine tell-tail genital herpes signs that are very specific for herpes rash and separate it from other genital skin conditions such as friction burn, balanitis (fungal infection of the head of the penis), vaginal yeast infection, syphilis, folliculitis (infection of the hair follicles) and others.
1. Prodrome period
2. “Nerve” symptoms of tingling and shooting pain
3. The preference for a thin and moist areas
4. Painful sores
5. Clustered lesions
6. Affects superficial area of the skin
7. Herpes lesions are usually on one side of the body (left or right)
8. Herpes lesions evolve over time that is changing their appearance.
9. Enlarged and painful lymph nodes on the side of the rash

So I went to a walk in clinic and the doctor on duty said I have shingles.
But what a lot of what you say here says I have HSV 2.
Is it possible for him to be incorrect?
I have lesions and rashes a tiny bit just starting at the crack of the inner top of leg left thigh right at the base of the scrotum.
From there to a big rash on the inner left leg top on the thigh around to the back of my buttock. And then also from the big rash on my inner thigh down my leg to my back part of my knee. All in a line.
Nothing at all on penis or on the scrotum except the very bottom base as mentioned. All on the left side on my body.
My right leg and right side of my body has nothing, no rashes or lesions/ulcers just like the head /shaft/base of penis. No problem with bathroom functions either way.
Pain is only in the left leg upper inner thigh and buttock.
Is the diagnosis from my doctor correct in your opinion?

I tested for herpes and the results are Igm positive igg negative and I don’t have symptoms. Is that I have it for sure ?
Im so confused, it clearly says "with a herpes lesion the skin thickness is NORMAL" and below it says "It looks THICKER than neighboring skin or bumpier"? Which one is it?

I was diagnosed by a nurse practitioner that I have genital herpes, but I don't have any of these symptoms... I think she misdiagnosed me. She also took a quick look at my lesion and just just said I had herpes because it looked similar to others... I did take a urine test and will take a blood test next week, so hopefully its not something severe.

@@lilneets5141 she was right lmao. I felt the symptoms a few days later, but apparently 1 in 6 adults have genital herpes and the one thing I was worried about is if I can spread it through saliva. It only spreads through direct skin contact so I'm good there. I'm just going to be more aware of any outbreaks and stay away from any intercourse. I feel like I got away lucky, yeah its not treatable and it sucks but the pills were 7 bucks and treated me.
