Who was your favourite speedster from history? Let us know in the comments!
Loved Bryan Habana, but maybe Joe Rokocoko was missing from your list.
Good ex-players, but no current speedsters.
doug howlett, reiko ione, christian cullen, israel dagg, ngane lumapei, lote tuqiri, s. sivivatu, pulse( south africa), joe rocokoco, will jordan
Cédric Heymans, Dominici, Bernat-Salles, Cheslin Kolbe, etc...
Rupeni Caucau without a doubt! Best winger ever played. He had it all!
In terms of impact breaks, surprised Jason Robinson not on here
Shane Williams has to be one of the best finishers I've ever seen, and for a speed and power compilation, I might have expected to see Cullen, who was just absolutely silky. But for me the surprise omission is Jason Robinson - that was a player who could move like almost nobody else.
I'll never forget that Zee Ngwenya try. I remember watching it thinking WOW! I can't believe we got to see a one on one with these two. Ngwenya still moving away from Habana, plus that handoff! Oof! Brilliant just what the WC is all about, a iconic try that had everything
Yeah, stunned once I realised who he'd burned.
Did he actually put it down in the end? I was worried he'd forgotten it was rugby and not American football 😆
Best one on this was the USA winger ripping past Hybana
Ngwenya. Brilliant pace and left a very in form Bryan Habana for dead. Even as a South African, that made me smile!
Just a moment of magic from basically nowhere! Iconic moment!
It was... Absolutely brilliant. I can be a very salty Saffer but that was just spectacular!
If the USA can get more football players into rugby, with proper coaching and culture, the athleticism of their athletes in general is too crazy.
Should have add Lwazi Mvovo, one of the greatest wingers ever. He gets extremely fast after 30 - 100m.
Not so fast off the mark though.
After 50m is where he is probably the fastest player I've ever seen.
Not having Lwazi Mvovo on this list is a crime. Literally one of the fastest rugby players of all time.
I think Tonderai Chavhanga might have been faster. But that is just an opinion so don't shoot me :)
@@Karma-qt4ji you are right. Chavanga was faster tgan Mvovo
@@takaedzachirowodza601 Chavanga never played in a WC
Pure speed! Anybody else from Rugby World Cup history that joins this list?
@@WorldRugby seabelo Senatla and Carlin Isles, Perry Baker and Dan Norton. Fast 7s players.
This list could be extended massively. There are Soo many names missing off this list
For sure! Maybe we will go for a part 2?... 👀
Fabulous and John Taylor commentary too..Great to see Lomu run over/through /around Healey.
up down all around, suppose if you can do it all, why wouldn't you?
Gone through a wee binge of all these great try compilations, and while there's some greats no doubt. I'm glad I grew up seeing and knowing Cristian Cullen's brilliance.
Eddie Butlers excited commentary of the Australian Winger Koroibete outstripping all defenders to the try line missed the most amazing image of Taniela 'Tonga Thor' Tupou - a prop forward! On his elbow at the tryline in support!! That was really amazing...
Don't forget Capuozzo's run in italy-wales during the last six nations!!!
Fantastic video guys
Mvovo should be on this list.
Definition of lightning. ⚡
Amazing!!!
Caucau for me. Amazing acceleration and balance.
For an English schoolboy winger in the '80s there was only one player to look up to: Rory Underwood. Unfortunately we persisted with Rob Andrew at 10, so the ball didn't reach Guscott and Underwood nearly often enough. I get that this is all RWC stuff, but I could watch Underwood going past Kirwan and Timu for the 1993 Lions on permanent repeat.
5:53 American bullet!!
4:47 Japanese Ferrari!!
That Japanese winger has such an amine running style! But flaming quick!
Awesome vid
Good video 👌
Brilliant
Christian Cullen, Tonderai Chavanga, Doug Howlett, Jason Robinson, Aphiwe Djantyi, Ugo Monye, Christophe Dominici, Lome Fa'atau... so many speed merchants....
Hmmm... lot of great players scoring great tries and great steps, but I was expecting a few more tries where the speed was the deciding factor, like the one by the Fijian guy.
Milner-Skudder belongs on a stepper video, not here. Injuries buggered him but jeez he could step!
Yeah that's right. Caucau is the one you see just straight pace on pace
Jason Robinson 😳
Nice video good
This is what I felt like when I scored an interception about 70 meters, I’m a prop, you can imagine how I wasn’t moving like this 😂
Nigel Walker, Cardiff, Martin Offiah, Roslyn Park, Andrew Harriman, Harlequins, full length of the
Pitch unmatchable
I think this list is just incomplete without acknowledging Kotaro Matsushima
Ngwenya and Caucau are the two main videos I think show brutal outright speed against other speedsters. I still remember the big raps on Rougerie and he trying to underestimate Caucau and that's what he got for his brash comment.
And with the comments you hear from announcers you always have to wonder what could've been had he shown a bit more commitment to the game and especially to the talent he had and yet hadn't fully unearthed in himself.
Ejem...what about Nani Corleto against France on rwc 2007...that never can be missed!!
One of the fastest wingers ever Philipe Bernet Salles is missing . The French Silver Fox . Another Speedster Daisuke ohata from Japan too.
Ngwenya vs Habana was da best!
I love Rugby
@2:18 didn't know the chiropractor had that much pace😳
Ngwenya outran Habana. Wow.
1:30 Shane Williams, side step, swerve, and finish speed
Se olvidaron de MARCOS MONETA jugador de los PUMAS (ARGENTINA), a quien la Asociación Mundial de Rugby lo declaró el mas veloz, en modalidad rugby seven.
Chelslin kobe
It's just 10 players, WR did not say top 10 or best 10.... They just said 10... Coz they're plenty I can think of who are quick who ain't here... Ugo Monye, Tonderai Chavhanga, Mvovo, Cullen, Johnny May, Rieko Ioane and others
No try from Cordero in 2015 RWC? Shame...
This list is missing the greatest 'impossible to catch' player of all time - Danie Gerber.
Ek stem saam!
Ngwenya's try was the best with the most speed.
I think Z's try in H-Cup when he outruns Shane Williams is even better.
Le ganó en carrera a Habana. Un galgo
Shane Williams was a glitch in Rugby 08
Voted IRB player of the year in 2008. So so exciting to watch and he'd deliver every time. A true legend..
Marcos "the Money Man" Moneta
What about Corletto in RWC 2007?
Catching Lomu wasn't the problem. The problem was trying to stop him.
Illumination can frighten him who does not seek enlightenment. Wisdom is a gift conspired through love and through power. Any situation that you find yourself in, is an outward reflection of your inner state of beingness.
Where's Mvovooooo???
The man,Rupeni caucau one of the best wingers
Faltó el de Nani Corleto contra Francia en el 2007.
No one makes me laugh on a rugby pitch like Jonah LOMU , I mean WHAT Do you do to stop him??
Rubeni is beast
The linesman in that last clip was almost as fast!
El ensayo de Lomu es pase adelantado......jajaja. Que verguenza, todo prensa!
Alternate title: ten New Zealand players who were impossible to catch
Samoa...kagi mai le manu...a uuu auuuuu a uuuufaaa
Habanaaaaa
You forgot riecko Ioane
Milner-Skudder??
Hmm yeah he would get burnt ngl
Lol I know 😂
yeah i know wtf
No Jason Robinson?!!
Corleto vs Irlanda...
Kolbe?
Richie Mo'unga caught him though 🤣
2nd one☝🏾☝🏾☝🏾
Jonah Lomu was mega beast
that USA winger smoked Habana 😯
Takes some doing to make Habana look like he's running with stones in his boots!
Habana has said in interviews that he never gave another player the outside line after this. Lesson learned.
Christian Cullen, Express Train
I'm maybe a bit biased, but Cuttitta?
No Doug Howlett, Christian Cullen, Rocokoko or Sivivatu?? Milner-Skudder was a good stepper but he wasn't that fast🤷♂️
Yeah Doug Howlett was freaky fast forsure,100m in the 10 sec mark ?
Brent Russel the pocket rocket
Who ever put this together needs to watch some Christian Cullen highlights.
Tonderai Chavhanga?
Logically only one of them could possibly be impossible to catch.
jonah lomu.
Dougie Howlett??
Z let Habana show him the sideline and he just gassed him, the greatest RWC try ever
So where was Jason Robinson of England? You post it as impossible to catch, i do not see that, i suggest you re-assess your choices, to me they are click bait.
YO FIRST ONE SPRING BOK FOR LIFE
First one!
Marika Vunibaka and rupeni caucau
That last try was legit.
VILIMONI DELASSAU??
PERRY BAKER???
JORDAN CONROY??
SANTIAGO MONETTA???
15's not 7's
Collins injera
All of you too far young to remember Billy Steele from Scotland.
Taranaki rugby
LRZ? Hello???
Rupeni no 1
Where was cheslin kolbe?
Where is Brent Russell?
Jordan Larmour.
Marcos Moneta
Habosi
No Martin offiah? Probably the fastest of all time in either rugby code
This is a list of players in rugby union world cups. Offiah was brilliant but doesn't qualify for this video
Even habana with a few extra pounds
Caucau, Jonah lomu and Marika Vunibaka have no equals
Lomu is easy to catch.... but it ends there
Bryan Habana try only shown 2 twice others 4 times why
where is senatnla
where is zammit
