@@r.seaboats6666 If the drive shaft is in the way you have to remove it; other wise no. The entire steering rack will come down with the subframe since it is attached, but it’s very important to remove the intermediate steering shaft first so you don’t pop it apart when lowering the frame down. Also make you support the engine with a support bar, since I’m assuming you don’t have a lift. One last thing: the exhaust doesn’t need to be removed unless it’s in the way of the subframe coming down (just like the drive shaft).
How to drop it on the floor 🙄.. this is why I am learning to work on my own car. People experimenting like this. The whole procedure looks so precarious like a disaster waiting to happen.
