BEAUTIFUL! I adore you guys. I am from Bulgaria. I visited the Drakensberg Boys Choir when I was 19, then 28 then 37. For me, it tells the story of South Africa. And it always leaves me with one message - OF HOPE.
As an old boy, I am so proud of these guys. This is a beautiful finessed rendition. As a bass myself I appreciate that voice, but the other boys are so beautifully balanced and tuned. Well done, fellas!
Legit, sang choir from grade 1 to 12 mostly in boy choirs, Nothing like that bass silently bringing colours to your ears you never knew existed. Almost in tears. Was recruited to the drankensberg boys choir in grade 5 but it was too far so my mother didnt allow me back then, this makes me wish I can harmonise in a choir again. Ive missed it so much.
I was happy for the young boys it was my first time to watch and listen to their music in Eswatini at house on fire thanks to my Mr Fullard of South Africa who made it possible
Amazing. The rendition is even much better than the original song. The bass is so outstanding. Love this song all the way from the Rift Valley in Kenya🇰🇪🇰🇪
One of the highlights of our trip to SA. We had refreshments after the concert and we found all the pupils of this amazing school so refreshing. Courteous, confident, helpful and simply glowing.

This is magical. I will probably comment on this time and again as I revisit this song. I was so sad to be a girl in South Africa in my youth as I so longed to be part of this choir. This was decades ago. Still magical to hear these voices though. Ke a leboga
I keep listening to this song. Such a beautiful version - I just love the parts as they come through perfectly blended in. But I must say - that Bass 👍 Well done to each person and the part you played - BEAUTIFUL
Can't stop listening to this song! Much better than Ed Sheran! WOW!!! May God bless your choir! The world should listen to you. Even Rian from Jacaranda could not get the words when Ed was singing it. But he should listen to you!!! Keep on you are AMAZING!!!
I first heard of the DBC when I visited friends living in South Africa back in 1998 (My first time visiting Africa). I went to one of the Wednesday concerts at the school and was amazed by the quality of the singing I heard. I was so fortunate to experience the choir again at their farewell concert in Joburg before they went on their tour with the songs from Lion King and the traditional songs from South Africa that year. The quality of the choir has certainly not lessened over the years and although I'm now forced to only enjoy from afar, way up here in cold Denmark, I do so with pleasure every time a new song finds its way to UA-cam. Especially when the song, setting and performance is as good as the one in this recording. I thank you all, boys and staff at DBC! -Teddy
