    To prevent your cutting board from moving around, You should put a wet paper towel that's been squeezed to remove excess water, lay it out, place under your cutting board, and after use papertowel to clean the counter afterwards. Thanks for doing the vids, your posts help so much.

    • @WanderDano
      @WanderDano  7 років тому

      Sometimes I use a piece of non slip but not really the wet towel method. I usually don't seem to have trouble with it moving too much - but that is a way I know many people use.

    Try a low country boil! All the flavor will intensify because it isnot dilutedin water. Would love to see that. Nit is my favorite family meal

    I have a question 🖐 (I apologize if you have answered this already. I am making my way through your videos and enjoying every minute :) How do you clean the top portion of the NuWave Oven? I ask this because the heating element seems rather close to the food and it would stand to reason (I guess) that meat fat (while cooking) might get on the the heat element (especially bacon) .
    I had an Aqua Cleaning oven that I got grease on the heating element from broiling. Long story short ... it caught on fire. I would hate to have that happen to anyone. Scary stuff.

    • @WanderDano
      @WanderDano  6 років тому +1

      Questions are never a problem. :-) Yes it can be a little close - I just wipe it down with soap and water... when cool of course. lol It doesn't seem to get as much "junk" on it as I thought it might. Plus, you can twist the dme off and wash it.

  • @satulytman
    @satulytman 4 роки тому

    I think it would be easier to clean the rack if you put a sheet of foil directly on the rack and put some slots in it with the knife. You just throw away the foil after cooking, and very little of the meatloaf would get stuck to the rack. Looks like a nice meal.

    What a neat trick with the bacon! Awesome! Double awesome! Thank you for sharing. Never thought I could make meatloaf in my Nuwave, going to give it a go as soon as I come back from the grocery store. Need to make a list of ingredients for shopping.

      oh no.. not even close. I grew up in a family of excellent cooks.. I don't think I am all that talented and my knife skills are not very good. I just try to show that it doesn't have to be processed crap food, hot dogs and burgers for every meal. :) Thanks very much for the kind words.

    The razorblade with garlic was in Goodfellas.
    If using bacon, use the real deal. Turkey bacon is very, tasteless and high in sodium and other man-made chemicals.

    Looking awesome!.....your hamburger looked a bit grey/freezer burne?, but everything else looked excellent. I'll have to try that. You on a health kick?.....Regular thick cut bacon all the way!......:) Is that a NuWave cooktop you did your potatoes on or a regular hot plate? You're the RV Chef on YT, thanks for the inspiration. Hint, Reynolds Non Stick foil all the way......:)

    Thank you for replying, I just bought the Elite model. I have always wanted one but always been nervous of investing in it, I have purchased some duds in the past. Boy, this sure makes up for all the ones I gave away to my local SPCA thrift store. Again, thanks for all your time and ideas.

    Great stuff, Sarachi sauce is the bomb, can't believe they almost closed a year or so ago, because the city they were located in protested about the smell. I remember on the commercials they say the new wave oven is very efficient. You have any idea how many AH s this thing draws?

    • @WanderDano
      @WanderDano  8 років тому +2

      Yeah it has become an addiction to me. It draws 750W on high so it is a shore power deal or sometimes I have run my gennie to use it... too much juice needed for a battery system.

    • @MrZola1234
      @MrZola1234 8 років тому

      Wander Dano dang, cause that's what I'll be using is a second battery in a small van rv. i was hoping to use this over various cooking tools like grills burners ect...

    • @WanderDano
      @WanderDano  8 років тому

      yeah - I understand just really too much juice needed for batteries

    • @WanderDano

      It's a habit I picked up from my grandmother - it's an Italian thing where a pairing knife is kinda just an extension of a finger. ;-)

    The mince looked to be a brown grey colour, or maybe that was my imagination lol. Can you use your own breadcrumbs ?. I make my ain & freeze them

    • @WanderDano
      @WanderDano  7 років тому

      The camera I use often does not show colors accurately.. That is why I started doing what I call fly overs with my cell phone camera because it does a better job. :) Making your own breadcrumbs is for sure a great and probably much better thing to do.
