I dont know how or why I found this video, i dont even necessarily like bell pepper in my meat loaf.... BUT who ever you are, your giggle and enthusiasm when it was th time to eat the deliciousness you created, made me give a thumbs up! !! Looks yummy! . Now I want meat loaf! Darn.
To prevent your cutting board from moving around, You should put a wet paper towel that's been squeezed to remove excess water, lay it out, place under your cutting board, and after use papertowel to clean the counter afterwards. Thanks for doing the vids, your posts help so much.
Sometimes I use a piece of non slip but not really the wet towel method. I usually don't seem to have trouble with it moving too much - but that is a way I know many people use.
I have a question 🖐 (I apologize if you have answered this already. I am making my way through your videos and enjoying every minute :) How do you clean the top portion of the NuWave Oven? I ask this because the heating element seems rather close to the food and it would stand to reason (I guess) that meat fat (while cooking) might get on the the heat element (especially bacon) . I had an Aqua Cleaning oven that I got grease on the heating element from broiling. Long story short ... it caught on fire. I would hate to have that happen to anyone. Scary stuff.
Questions are never a problem. :-) Yes it can be a little close - I just wipe it down with soap and water... when cool of course. lol It doesn't seem to get as much "junk" on it as I thought it might. Plus, you can twist the dme off and wash it.
I think it would be easier to clean the rack if you put a sheet of foil directly on the rack and put some slots in it with the knife. You just throw away the foil after cooking, and very little of the meatloaf would get stuck to the rack. Looks like a nice meal.
What a neat trick with the bacon! Awesome! Double awesome! Thank you for sharing. Never thought I could make meatloaf in my Nuwave, going to give it a go as soon as I come back from the grocery store. Need to make a list of ingredients for shopping.
oh no.. not even close. I grew up in a family of excellent cooks.. I don't think I am all that talented and my knife skills are not very good. I just try to show that it doesn't have to be processed crap food, hot dogs and burgers for every meal. :) Thanks very much for the kind words.
I don;t know about all that -- but thanks.. lol I will say thanks because it makes me want to do this meal again! lol I think I just got lucky genes or something. :)
The razorblade with garlic was in Goodfellas. If using bacon, use the real deal. Turkey bacon is very, tasteless and high in sodium and other man-made chemicals.
Love watching your cooking videos. I think much of the enjoyment comes from the fact that you are so obviously enjoying what you are doing. And the food looks so good!
My parents both survived the first depression and early on many of our meals were based on simple recipes from that era. Two of my favs as a kid were Tuna Noodle Bake and Meat Loaf. This isn't my mom's meatloaf!!
Looking awesome!.....your hamburger looked a bit grey/freezer burne?, but everything else looked excellent. I'll have to try that. You on a health kick?.....Regular thick cut bacon all the way!......:) Is that a NuWave cooktop you did your potatoes on or a regular hot plate? You're the RV Chef on YT, thanks for the inspiration. Hint, Reynolds Non Stick foil all the way......:)
Thank you for replying, I just bought the Elite model. I have always wanted one but always been nervous of investing in it, I have purchased some duds in the past. Boy, this sure makes up for all the ones I gave away to my local SPCA thrift store. Again, thanks for all your time and ideas.
Great stuff, Sarachi sauce is the bomb, can't believe they almost closed a year or so ago, because the city they were located in protested about the smell. I remember on the commercials they say the new wave oven is very efficient. You have any idea how many AH s this thing draws?
Yeah it has become an addiction to me. It draws 750W on high so it is a shore power deal or sometimes I have run my gennie to use it... too much juice needed for a battery system.
Wander Dano dang, cause that's what I'll be using is a second battery in a small van rv. i was hoping to use this over various cooking tools like grills burners ect...
The camera I use often does not show colors accurately.. That is why I started doing what I call fly overs with my cell phone camera because it does a better job. :) Making your own breadcrumbs is for sure a great and probably much better thing to do.
Is your cat named Sylvester? I'm guessing he didn't give you a thumbs up, or down...seemed to have no interest whatever in what you were doing. But I did, and I want to try it. Thanks for posting.
Whoa, I could actually smell that meatloaf cooking Dan lol! When you next travel to Florida, you & Kimmie Koolbeans should get together and create a meal on her "food channel"...That would be a nice treat for both of you guys subscribers! I know that you're down in Cinncy, but congrats to any Cavs fans on your channel--big win for Cleveland & the State of Ohio! Cheers buddy! (Maybe it'll be the Knicks next year lol)
I've said it before, I want to hire you to cook for us, lol! Just one thing, tell me you used a meat thermometer to verify the meatloaf was done completely.
no, the GoPro actually doesn't do a very good job on capturing the reds/pink in meats when cooking. That's why I started doing fly overs with another camera at the end - to show the actual colors. :)

LOL well.. glad you liked it - just leave the green peppers out. ;) Food does make me happy. all the best
excursions, photography, cuisine, I get it all with this channel!
lol hopefully you enjoy. thanks for watching

Love this, will try it. Thank you!
What a great tip! Thanks :)
Try a low country boil! All the flavor will intensify because it isnot dilutedin water. Would love to see that. Nit is my favorite family meal
I've made low country boil before but not in the nuwave.
It looks yummy 😋,Thank you so much.
glad you enjoyed

good call - this video is old and that's pretty much what I do now. :)
What a neat trick with the bacon! Awesome! Double awesome! Thank you for sharing. Never thought I could make meatloaf in my Nuwave, going to give it a go as soon as I come back from the grocery store. Need to make a list of ingredients for shopping.
Oh yes, mixing in a zip lock bag is ingenious!
It works great !! glad you liked it
ziplock is something I don't leave home without now. lol
Most creative meat loaf ive ever seen. 😁. Looks great!
lol - It did turn out excellent!
Hey Dano, where you ever a professional cook? You chop and mix ingredients with the greatest of ease and they always come out great!
oh no.. not even close. I grew up in a family of excellent cooks.. I don't think I am all that talented and my knife skills are not very good. I just try to show that it doesn't have to be processed crap food, hot dogs and burgers for every meal. :) Thanks very much for the kind words.
Wow what a meatloaf and potatoes!!!! Awesome chef!!!! Not sure how you stay slim eating like that but once again job well done!
I don;t know about all that -- but thanks.. lol I will say thanks because it makes me want to do this meal again! lol I think I just got lucky genes or something. :)
I think the nuwavw is big enough to hold a bread pan. Then you wont need to flip it out.
i've used a small baking pan in it before - I wanted to do it this way.
The razorblade with garlic was in Goodfellas.
If using bacon, use the real deal. Turkey bacon is very, tasteless and high in sodium and other man-made chemicals.
:-)
Hello from Alberta, Canada … am new here and just subscribed … Love, cat.
thanks! I hope you find some you enjoy. all the best
Where did u get your sink/table?
We use sausage with our beef meatloaf but also add a shredded zuchini, one cup.
I usually add hot italian sausage in both meatloaf and burgers. :)
good idea.. will never use turkey bacon.. lol.. but will mix this up
:)
I want to try your burgers 🍔 too .
:-) I think I make decent burgers
New sub here after watching a few of your cooking sessions, god have I learned some good tricks from you! Everything looks delicious & smells awesome!
Thanks very much - I hope some of them are helpful so people realize it is more than just burgers and franks when camping/RVing :)
A10TOES nesco jet stream oven
Thanks!!
Wow! Great recipe and it is yummy!!! Thank you!!!
Love watching your cooking videos. I think much of the enjoyment comes from the fact that you are so obviously enjoying what you are doing. And the food looks so good!
thanks! yeah - I do enjoy cooking and eating.. lol Very glad you enjoy.. all the best
My parents both survived the first depression and early on many of our meals were based on simple recipes from that era. Two of my favs as a kid were Tuna Noodle Bake and Meat Loaf. This isn't my mom's meatloaf!!
nope - same for me -- not my family meatloaf either
+Wander Dano Dude! I HATE meatloaf...and I wanna try that.
lol -- it was pretty darn good

don't think it was freezer burned just thawing - only a couple days old. think this time potatoes just on a hot plate
Great tips! Thanks for sharing!
glad you enjoyed. :)
Looks great! I am going to try this out for my family!
It was pretty good and easy too
You have inspired me. I am making this today!
Thank-you!
;)
that is VERY cool. hope you enjoy. :)

I've been happy with my NuWave(s) The Pro Plus and the Mini both work great for me. :)
I love my NuWave Pro. Hadn't thought of buy the mini for traveling though. It's now on my x-mas list for our vacations.
Great stuff, Sarachi sauce is the bomb, can't believe they almost closed a year or so ago, because the city they were located in protested about the smell. I remember on the commercials they say the new wave oven is very efficient. You have any idea how many AH s this thing draws?

Wander Dano dang, cause that's what I'll be using is a second battery in a small van rv. i was hoping to use this over various cooking tools like grills burners ect...
yeah - I understand just really too much juice needed for batteries
Just because you're cooking in a RV kitchen doesn't mean you can't use a real knife.
It's a habit I picked up from my grandmother - it's an Italian thing where a pairing knife is kinda just an extension of a finger. ;-)
We use the med. instant pot.
I've heard people like those - maybe one day I will get one but I think the NuWave mini is pretty awesome. :)
so you dont flip the meatloaf ?
I had to rewatch and at 12:20 I show that I flipped it to make sure the bacon on bottom was cooked.
Wander Dano ty
Looks good! I will have to get one of those when I start traveling.
I highly recommend - but the mini can be hard to find now
The mince looked to be a brown grey colour, or maybe that was my imagination lol. Can you use your own breadcrumbs ?. I make my ain & freeze them
The camera I use often does not show colors accurately.. That is why I started doing what I call fly overs with my cell phone camera because it does a better job. :) Making your own breadcrumbs is for sure a great and probably much better thing to do.
Awesome!
thanks!
Awesomeness... Trying my flavorwave as I watch your video. Hope my meatloaf stays together with the bacon wrap.. Smells so good!
hi there question? nu wave! is it radiation like microwave? says it cooks from inside out?
It is actually a convection oven. so basically just a fan over the heating element. hope that helps
Is your cat named Sylvester? I'm guessing he didn't give you a thumbs up, or down...seemed to have no interest whatever in what you were doing. But I did, and I want to try it. Thanks for posting.
No - name is Vinny... because of the one ear thing - Vincent Van Gogh. lol
Good name :-)
thought it fit. :-) lol
You could seriously use a larger knife there ☺
can't argue that at all. lol I think this trip I might have a real knife with me.. :)
Whoa, I could actually smell that meatloaf cooking Dan lol! thanks - it turned out nicely. that is a good idea to cook with them! all the best
"Gotta clean up first. Cats, cats, cats..." Amen to that brother.
it is a NEVER ENDING battle. lol :)
Good job!
quick and easy
yep i realize that since i spokin too soon
hey - its all good - I read that and thought it is quite possible I did it.!! lmao
I love your meals!!!
thanks - glad to hear :)
A little shredded carrot is very nice in meatloaf, makes it very moist for some reason.
through movies was goodfellow and I love that movie
Subscribed!!!
:) Hopefully from time to time I stumble across a topic you may enjoy. lol all the best
That meatloaf looks awesome !!!!
It did turn out really well. :) pretty easy too
I've said it before, I want to hire you to cook for us, lol! Just one thing, tell me you used a meat thermometer to verify the meatloaf was done completely.
lol it was all good
He thinks it's hard to clean the Teflon drip pan, dude doesn't know what a meat therm is....lol
Where did you get your can opener?
I can't remember because I've had it for a while - sorry
YUMMY
this really was a good one. :)
Make meat loaf more taste. For every 1 Lb of meat add a half a cup of apple sauce. Great flavor.
I had that before actually - I have an aunt that makes it that way.. not too bad. :)
Smart! Plastic bag. No question!
:-)
Watch out that it doesn't fall over ... ;)
lol
THAT GROUND BEEF LOOKS LIKE IT WENT BAD.
no, the GoPro actually doesn't do a very good job on capturing the reds/pink in meats when cooking. That's why I started doing fly overs with another camera at the end - to show the actual colors. :)
Soured
That is what happens when you use the Nuwave to defrost ground beef. It's natural. It's just partially cooked, that's all.
👏🏽
lol dose not look my meat loaf
lol
Dano I bet your fellow campers are jealous of you. I am beginning to think you were a professional chef in your previous life.
no no nowhere near professional. grew up with some amazing cooks who put me to shame. :)
Wander Dano Well, it looks like you learned a lot from them.
I guess I picked up a thing or two lol
