Excellent point! Can you believe that "professionals" ( in hospital in Italy) told me "your arm will NEVER heal"! Or "you'll NEVER be autonomous"!! I cried then but still I didn't believe them. While my arm is slow to recover, I AM nearly autonomous now because I'm walking with a cane and doing so much better! These are"professionals". I wonder how many people they've ruined with this attitude 💔. Tha😮nk you for your ever so helpful videos! 💕

When i had my stroke, i realized I had to relearn a lot of things. I dodnt put it this way, but drs kept their assessment of me, and im glad....i was NEVER supposed to ever walk or talk again. I didn't get tge memo, so i gave it my all to recover and now i walk and talk!!! But with deficiencies but nobody will norice that. Im always goi to try new things and NEVER give up in MYSELF!!!! I recovered this far, and i love proving all my des wrong too! Now they said my recovery was miraculous! I think 🤔 they like it too! I think my positive attitude and hope made my recovery easier! Dont give up hope!!!! Elyse thank you for making this video! Its soooo true!

when I got my stroke January 2024,my right side was affected. my doctor advised me what happened, and all you have to do now is to recover .Every day, I try to discover the slightest improvement, and now I can walk without walking aid ,move, and talk now.I followed your video when I was discharged from the hospital two months later. BIG BIG THANKS!!

So true, I felt so frustrated when the neurolofost told me my dedicits were permanent hence I have reached the end of my rehabilitation. I wanted tp go on and on until I am able to walk. I still do exercise on my own at home but I had access to gpod rehab machines at the center. I have recovered a lot like speech and cognitive abilities, O can walk comensatorily with a cane but I dpnt feel secure walking alone coz I have fallen many times. I can get up if zom near a bed pr chair but not slone on the syteet. It would be great to learn how to get up alone when I fall down. Woyld be great to learn a gppd technoque. I can only use one arm.y left arm doesnt function yet :).

I don't and did not use "can't " even before the stroke. Instead Do My Best until my Best gets better. So y'all do your best and improve along your path. If you don't like something, change the way you think about it....please. 🎉

I love that “yet”. I had a doctor in the hospital tell me that I might not ever walk again and I sure wouldn’t ever drive again. It’s been almost 2 years since my strokes. I’m walking every day granted with a cane but walking nonetheless. I also was able to get my car modified so I can use just my left foot and my left arm to control it and got my drivers license renewed because of that. Everybody is different and don’t let anybody put you in a box and tell you you can’t.
