    Thanks for sharing this video last year. I'm growing this right now for the 1st time this season & it is doing AMAZING in our garden. It is so productive & the fruit is so big/tasty/meaty, but it's also so cool looking inside & out! I've been using them for pico de gallo & 'mater sammies LOL Pineapple is one of my favorite varieties, but the last couple of years production hasn't been there. I just harvested our first ripe pineapple fruit yesterday & the black pineapple fruits have been coming in strong for over a month now!

      Thanks tons! Really happy this one showed out for you this season. We really liked this one and even though it has only hit our yard once it is high in our 'to grow again' list. :)

    Every time you try a new tomato, my mouth water, I just LOVE tomatoes 😊😊❤️ I uploaded an update today & mentioned y'all in it. Just letting everyone know I put the tomato plants I started of your seeds, in my "new" garden. Have y'all tried the flaming flare pepper?? I'll send y'all some seeds if y'all haven't tried it.

      Thanks a bunch! Caught the video before the comment. LOL We are so discombobulated over here this August. Hoping so much the tomatoes do well for you. Not tried the FF pepper but looked it up and seems like a great type. May want some seeds for next year.

    🌸👍🏼👍🏼🌺thanks for sharing UT ! I can’t do tomatoes anymore without a stomach , but if this one is not acidic, I might try it !

    • @UT33200
      @UT33200  2 роки тому

      Thanks a bunch! A great tomato type but may be more acidic in other grows and would definitely look into it more before trying. I have come to realize how many people can't have tomatoes like we do over the past few years and a big eye opener.

    It looks like it was quite ripe enough due to the lack of red on the interior. Maybe it was just that one example.

    • @UT33200
      @UT33200  2 роки тому

      Thanks tons! I've noticed that since too. Most others seem to have much more red interiors. I really think this one was done but our grows are always wonky. Like it ripened quickly in error due to stress.

    How is the texture? Is it mealy? How would it compare to Black Krim, True Black Brandywine or Kellogg's Breakfast tomato? I've got decisions to make. 🤣

    • @UT33200
      @UT33200  Рік тому

      Thanks tons! I think this one leans alot away from a black or purple type tomato regardless of its name. Maybe like a mild green/yellow type. Its been awhile since I had a K. Breakfast but that one seems a bit like it. Of all the tomatoes I have had though the Berkeley Tie Dye is the closest. A great one to try at least once though if you haven't. Ours produced well in containers and seemed a bit milder near end of season when we were tomatoed out. LOL

      @@UT33200 I have never tried Black Krim, True Black Brandywine or Black Pineapple tomato, but I am looking to pick one of the three to grow along with the Kellogg's Breakfast tomato. I'm struggling to narrow it down! 🤣

      @@UT33200 if you had to choose between Black Krim, True Black Brandywine and Black Pineapple, which would you choose?

    • @UT33200
      @UT33200  Рік тому +1

      @@adventuresinhomesteading1274 I(UT) would have to say the Black Krim. It is just such a good tomato. My wife Angel says the Black Brandywine though. It was her favorite years ago before trying the Ch. Purple. The Black Krim though is so well rounded and probably the best producer. Great for sauces, slicing and salsa. The Black Krim if I had to choose. A tough question.

      @@UT33200 thanks for the input. I have seeds for Cherokee Purple too, but I accidentally double seeded those pods with another variety and couldn't tell them apart, so I gave those starts away.
