    Good information, but in your first parameter setting you state that you are setting the motor for forward rotation (using00-001) but you typed in 01 and said 01 the first time which would be reverse right?
    Maybe I am missing something.

      Great question. Important to differentiate between the function group (00-01 is the motor rotation function group, 00-02 is the command mode function group, etc.) and the direction setting (0 = forward rotation, 1 = reverse). In this example, I navigate to 00-01 to get to the direction setting parameter, and then chose a value of zero at 4:47. Here's our quick start guide which covers this in more detail cdn.emotorsdirect.ca/QuickStartGuide/Quick_Guide_L510_for_Basic_Setup_Final_Version.pdf

    Can the L510 be used to control PMAC motors or just induction motors?

    • @emotorsdirect

      It cannot, but the A510 and and F510 support the necessary control algorithms to run PMAC motors. Thanks for the question!

      @@emotorsdirect I see that both the A510 and the F510 are 230v + input, what would you recommend for a PMAC VFD that can run on 110v input? im only running a 1/4hp motor...

      I'd need to know the type of PMAC motor in order to say anything. Can you share the cat #? Also our drives are rated for 230V output but can output the same amperage at lower voltages as well. So a 230V output VFD can output anywhere from 0 to 230V.

    Can it be configured via a Linux PC ? with which software?

      Hi Zerak, thank you for the question. TECO Westinghouse's software only runs on PC but the drive supports Modbus, so you can read/write parameters from any system that can read/write Modbus.

    How to set the vfd with 2 proximity sensors for controlling the forward and reverse of a linear system

    • @emotorsdirect
      @emotorsdirect  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for the question, Felix. The best solution depends on what type of proximity sensors you have, and the parts you have on hand. A general solution is described below with inputs set to “53: 2-Wire Self Holding”. This will result in a system that moves forward when one proximity sensor is triggered and backward when the other sensor is triggered. I called it general because it will work regardless of the output type of the proximity sensors. I can email you a wiring diagram if it would be helpful.
