Im turning 30 this year in February and I'm a mom of 2...I am finally starting to focus on me and my health after 12 long years of living in fight or flight mode. Since having my daughter at 18 my health has declined because of many traumatic experiences being a teen mom. But finally it's time for me! I feel like this will be a big game changer year. So ready for 2023!
This is your year mama! Thank you for sharing a bit of your story and journey, I know you're not alone in this scenario. Having my first in my 30's I can only imagine how much of a struggle it would be to grow life while your still growing so much yourself. Sending so much love and healing your way xo
Casual drinking- thanks for calling this one out. I've had people poke fun at me or raise their eyebrows for not engaging in casual drinking. In my mind it always felt like I don't need a drink to have fun or be fun. It was nice to hear your take on it 😊
I love that you are talking about drinking. I’m so tired of everything being revolved around drinking! It’s so toxic. Don’t get me wrong here and there is fine but it feels like the world is consumed by it. Better habits in 2023!
Omg preach about the alcohol. My husband and I stopped drinking in May/June of 2020. We just decided we wanted to stop putting that into our bodies. It's so true how there's this constant pressure. In commercials, on social media. Even our family doesn't know what to do with us sometimes. They never know what to offer us. Because drinking a seltzer water is such a crazy concept 😂 and would love to see any sick care routine you do in your 30's
SO HAPPY YOU MENTIONED CASUAL DRINKING!! Some people are downright ignorant / awful to me if I decline drinking as if I'm somehow ruining their fun or choice to drink! The culture is so toxic! Happy people are growing up now - by not drinking, I save money and feel great, been 3 years now!
I’m 24 and I’m excited to try these habits! I’ve been going to therapy and learned to put myself first and give myself love. At first I felt guilty about it but I have to be ok with myself first in order to be on with other people. Having notifications off is such a great way to reduce stress now I don’t even worry about replying immediately. And yes! People pressure me to drink and I’m like “I’m fine… thank you” and people would think I’m boring but I like having my wine every once in a while. Literally a bottle lasts me months
@@surlespasdondine I dont want to sound mean towards my people but toxicity is really sneaky in Mexican families, believes and traditions. I had an uncle asking me why I needed therapy if I’m young and don’t have kids. He’s also my manager and expected me to be available to work anytime he’d need me to and that’s why at first I felt guilty about going to therapy cause I’d be expected to put work over therapy and forgot to put myself first
@@ivanperez4627 oh I see! thank you for explaining! In therapy you will learn to deconstruct all of that little by little. Therapy saved me from so many things.❣ I wish for you to be free to do what you want in the future. All the best to you.
I bought a yoga block and the tune up balls after this video and I just got them. Did the video you linked and you really did fix my back. 35 and thriving!
Love this! Love all of these! It literally sounds like all my realizations lol I turned 30 this year and feel like there’s been such a shift in my mindset over the last few years. I would always try to read the educational books but struggle to get through them, falling asleep after 1 page. The only one I’m not doing currently is CrossFit but I used to do it, just haven’t found a gym in my new area that doesn’t feel super intimidating. One thing I’d add to this list is therapy. So beneficial to talk out what you are feeling with someone and has really helped me to be more mindful.
I agree therapy is amazing but I've learned to do it in other ways outside of the traditional sense. Guided spritual healing, hypnotherapy, meditation, movement, walking to friends, etc. I believe 30's is a magical decade ;)
im so sorry to hear. I know it can feel so consuming but every little habit that helps calm your nervous system makes such a different. Lavendar oil and chamomile tea have been so helpful for me as everyday remedies that sometimes can just take the tiniest edge off. Also meditation!!
100% I find everything hurting now that I'm in my 30s, especially my neck and lower back. Chiropractic care has been helpful for me as well. Please definitely do a video on your makeup/skincare routine. :)
Great video as usual! Thanks for sharing all the tips 😊. I'm definitely going to try the acupressure mat and the yoga balls! My neck and shoulders are the bane of my existence!!! For the binaural beats, the best way to listen is with headphones. You get different sounds in each ear, and that's when you really get the therapeutic properties 🙌.
I started reading more fiction as well! I’ve read about the benefits it has for your mind and body. A good fictional book requires you to use your mind to remember the characters and scenarios that occur so I’m definitely loving this new habit. 👌🏻
Thankyou for talking about your anxiety I struggled a lot to with it and have don’t cbt to get better I remember you used to talk about it a lot in your old videos and I missed it
Shantaram : A Novel by Gregory David Roberts. The Power of When: Discover Your Chronotype--and Learn… by Michael Breus PhD. The Old Soul's Guidebook: Who You Are, Why You're He… by Ainslie MacLeod. Inner Engineering: A Yogi's Guide to Joy . You’ve probably already read these but I thought I would suggest anyway. Happy reading!
I also started to do most of these things, especially doing things for your mind. It helps so much to stay calm with kids. The only thing I don't do anymore is essential oils. We had bath bombs with essential oils. I didn't know they contained them. And unfortunately my cat got liver damaged and needed to get put down on January 2nd 2023. I really loved Essentials Oils when I was younger, but now I am just devastated that my fur baby died because of it. So for anyone who doesn't know it. Essentials Oils should not get used at all when you have cats.
@@HealthNutNutrition We think that she did. It was the only thing we used. Essential oils can be so great, but I avoided them after we got pets. After she passed away I went again to the store and asked for the ingredients and they told me they used essential oils in it. It was a present for my kids, so I didn't really think about anything bad, because I always made sure it didn't contain them. I hope I didn't come off rude. I love your videos and all the healthy aspects. Just wanted to let other people know that one mistake can cause a life when it comes to pets. I got her ashes yesterday and I feel so bad that we couldn't do anything for her and that I could have prevented it.
I love all these suggestions and can relate to many of them. Thanks Nikole for reminding me of the things I know help me but I have let go or forgotten. Time to buy a new fiction book!

How did you start your journey with more natural healthy foods? How do you know what's good for you etc? I look at labels and have no idea 😂 i want to eat more natural (less preservatives etc) but not sure where to start! I just love you and all your videos by the way! Thank you!
I had got that mat because of you! ☺️ love it. (Almost got another brand but this was a better deal too) Also, I hear ya with drinking! Just feel so better without. Wanna take care of our livers anyway ha. But yah, so many things you’ll share in your videos, I’m like this Mama and I could totally be friends in real life 😊 agree on so much 👍 thank you for being the beautiful gal that you are. Inside and out. God bless.
Loved all of these 💜 it's always really cool to see what others do. You've probably tried this already, but I'd highly recommend going to a chiropractor. Honestly, it's changed my life!

Book recommendation: Magic Lessons by Alice Hoffman! Just finished it. It's fantasy, about a witch in the 1600s. I suggest it to you because she does "green magic" with herbs, plants and natural remedies. It makes you want to plant a whole new garden! Hope you like it
thank you!
