First of all, Noah’s guitar skills are really impressive. He’s so comfortable with the fretboard that he rarely even looks at it. I sure hope he never stops, because he’s a natural, my friend. You’re one blessed man to have him in your home! I’m proud of him and I’ve not met him - YET 😁. I had a J-45 Regal, which is Rosewood back and sides and one of Gibson’s higher end guitars and it sounded amazing. I still kick myself for selling it. The thing about the Studio version is exactly what you mentioned, they are less cumbersome to play, from a body size standpoint. It’s almost a 000 experience, with a dread sound. The Epiphone IBG J-45 is pretty close to that as well. I didn’t know that Noah had this guitar, so this was a great video to watch, due to you two springing this on me! As always, you’re too kind for mentioning the channel, but it just proves my point about how great friends you and Noah have become to me. A great video by two great friends, brother man 👍🏻

Thank you Randy. I am extremely happy that I got to know you, and concider you to be a true friend. I can't believe I didn't mention his Studio to you sooner. I actually was going over what guitars we reviewed (of the ones we have) and noticed I hadn't made a video about it since my initial review video over 2 years ago. And I went way too long with that video and was new to making guitar videos. I should have left out the background music and stuck to just the J-45. Lol.. live and learn. So thats the reason I wanted to put out another video with it.
Anyways, it's always a pleasure hearing from you and I can't wait until we can finally meet in person. The camera hides a lot though, you may not even know its me... Lol... Just look for the one with the really bad limp/waddle. Talk to you soon Randy. And thanks for everything.

Thank you so much for the compliment. It does suck though. I know what I want my right hand to do but it's got a mind of it's own. It doesn't keep me from playing though. I've got a guitar that Randy, from Randys Rhythm, gave to my grandson for graduation, that I'm doing some work to. It needs a new saddle and nut but when it's done I'll be making a video on that too. Randy named it "Ugly Betty" but she's got a great sound. So be looking for that video soon. It's a custom shop guitar.

David , Thanks ! Now I have to break it to the Mrs. that I have found Another guitar to add to the list LOL
My Epiphone Hummingbird Preformer Pro is like that ,,, body is thinner than a standard Hummingbird both Epiphone and Gibson. But my Epi bird has the same neck as my Gibson bird so they did keep it original.
Rosewood is my go to but you can`t go wrong with mahogany! I agree with the pickups on acoustics ,,,, But I will say that I like the Fishman`s sound better than the rest but what you hear Is Not how an acoustic should sound ,,, mic the guitar !
MAN am I going to be on the Bad List when I break it to her !!!

You can never own too many guitars.. lol.. And as some of my other videos show, I am a huge Epiphone fan. And so is Noah.

I agree with Noah about pickups in acoustic guitars. My take is just play directly into a good microphone. That will sound better than any PU. If you just don't want to be different from all the performers who are dedicated followers of fashion, and think they just must use built in PU's in their acoustic guitars , at least put an equalizer pedal between the PU output and the sound system to cut out those horrible fake sounding treble tones a PU produces.

Couldn't agree more. Randy, of Randy's Rhythm, is the one to talk to about EQ's and recording acoustic guitars. That man knows his stuff in that regard. I am lost when it comes to recording music professionally.

Great info and your absolutely correct about feedback. I dont do recording level play and only mic up for creating videos for my 2 channels. So going any further than what I do, for me, isn't necessary.
