Unfortunately the main camera filming the keyboardist didn't record, so we had to use the footage from a phone camera on a shelf in the corner.
And She Was was a song written by David Byrne in 1985, and is on the 6th Talking Heads album 'Little Creatures'. It only reached No.54 in the US charts although the album reached No.20 - the single climbed to No.17 in the UK.
The musicians in The Appaloosa Show have been gigging separately for many years in both originals and cover bands. This current band was formed when one of the singer/guitarists in a previous cover band moved away and was no longer available. Thus we eventually settled on the existing line up of lead guitar, keyboards, bass guitar and drums.
We try to choose classic songs that most music lovers would know, but that aren't covered as much by other bands (in the UK at a least). One of the comments we often hear from audience members at the end of a gig is, "great selection of songs". So it's a balance of enjoyable songs for us to play, that that the audience will know and can sing along to.
Having played the originals circuit at such venues as The Mean Fiddler, Hope and Anchor, Dublin Castle, Barfly etc. the time came to accept that a world tour wasn't going to happen!! Eventually we all moved over to cover bands as a way to continue gigging, and between us, we have played hundreds of gigs across the UK at pubs, bars, clubs, weddings, parties, universities, corporate events etc. Now, in our latest guise as The Appaloosa Show, we've decided to cover songs that are enjoyable, pop-tastic classics from across the years. Hopefully something a bit different for the audience to dance to.
Of course, there's always little bit of cheese in the set!!

This is actually fucking class. I’ve seen plenty of people try and cover talking heads music but this is definitely the best I’ve ever heard. You guys actually sound like them, the vocals are on point, and everything is just so clean and smooth.
