I really like the Heimer vs Yone example you used. As a Melee sololaner, Heimer is one of the most extreme examples of a lane where you get permanently shoved under tower and never seem to "get a turn" if your jungler doesn't bail you out. Highlighting the (short) window you get to take a turn even in this case gives me some food for thought. Thanks for the video!
I'm pretty chuffed I figured this out myself. Every time I died doing something I had no right to be doing I had to remind myself "it wasn't my time in the sun". Gotta wait for it to be right to make a play
I feel like you summed down so many seemingly complex laning fundamental techniques into a simple mindset which makes SO MUCH SENSE. this is the epitome of good coaching. thank you for this golden content
@@ilgazkayloglu2117 to B before 5 min 30 to buy because its lvl 6 power spike. You also want to be full hp and mana, and get items too. If you are ahead you can force a fight and snowball the game
2 things to remember. 1. A jungle gank can also be an unexpected turn ending situation, but don't waste action points on trying to "see it coming". 2. Stop thinking that you can only use your ultimate to get kills. In the Yone example, using your Q3 and ultimate entirely on the wave so you can start recalling first is fine.
Thanks for the video. Do you ever do shorts? I would love a follow up short on a coaching session that pulls this off in low elo. Seems like a great opportunity for extended content. Longform conceptial, short for example

Hey intersting stuff... I played a bit top lane here and there and got already a feeling that round based playstyle is a Thing. The Problem for many silver players like me is the Champion strengh in the equasion... Sometimes a champ is much stronger giving the same Level and Gold... Thats when Things Start to get complicated for people like me 😂
thats why you should watch updated meta videos to see how the tier list of each lane in the meta. It will help you understand which champions are more "broken" then the others. Especially in low elo, thats why the one who smurfing in low elo climbs so quick and easy cause they abused using those champs that too broken cause they know in low elo, players just don't know how to counters it.
Probably a dumb question but, I play mid lane in d2-d1 elo, I recognize that turns are a thing, but it feels like they're less defined in mid if that makes sense. If I watch a top lane VOD it's really easy to see when someone's turn ends and someone else's begins, but in mid lane it feels WAY more difficult to me. Any ideas on how to make this more clear?
having played the Yone vs Heimer match-up literally yesterday, you really can't win against him in the early lane, ulting into his turrets and getting stunned into the rocket ult means you lose the trade and probably lose an entire wave 8:15 also the Heimer isn't overextended, you'd need to flash to get into Q 2 range only option is E into ult, but without ignite I don't think you can burst him faster than he does you considering the HP
At 8:00 on the heimer vs yone example, as a former heimer and current yone main I have to tell you that I believe you're wrong. yone can never q3 into a good heimer, as he'll just take an E to the face, let alone ult, as when ulting the position you'll end up in is even more predetermined. Plus lets not forget heimer has 3 turrets ready to go in that situation. Yone should probably just call for jg and not try to contest push.
Yone has flash and if he's timing enemy sums he likely knows that heimer is missing both of his. Yone can E in to fish for a knockup with Q3, while attempting to dodge the stun with flash or simply the MS from E. 7:15 is probably yone's safest angle to go in for his turn as his R is coming up by the time yone will reach heimer (assuming he just walks forward) and heimer just wasted stun under tower. He would have an even better chance if he didn't waste his E in the prior trade.
Hi. At 4:00 - you said you should never leave lane on a stacked wave, however renekton went to ward. I always play mid so warding is a lot easier/faster, so I always wondered what should be the good timing to ward on side lanes. Isn't letting the enemy take 2 cs but warding better than not warding? or should you just choose not to slowpush when you have no info on the jungler?
I don't think letting enemy farm is the blunder here. The blunder is that he let enemy FREEZE INFRONT of the tower. I'm not a top lane expert, but a midlaner. I never leave lane to ward before crashing all the waves. Because even if I being gank, that is good because enemy laner stuck under the turret to last hit, nothing jungle can do to me, he can just reveal himself to help enemy to clear the way and tax some exp.(provided that my jungle tracking is correct and choose the right side of the lane to hug.)
I like the video, but question: does Yone actually have an opportunity to make it his turn against heimer? Even though minions are all dead, the lane is not even as Heimer still has turrets up. I guess I'm not a Yone main, but it seems like even if Yone went in with Q3 and R during his opening window, there's a high chance of him losing the trade anyways. That's probably what the Yone in the clip feels too, which is why he's too scard to do anything.
This is how I felt watching the clip as well; the turrets are extremely oppressive and there's major risk in the enemy noc pressing R as he blows cds on the heimer

I've never heard people talk about the game this way before and i've been playing since s1. amazing content
some truly useful/good stuff here, thanks very much sir

ty coach banger video
Something I never realized, so well explained.
Impressive content, thanks!
Fantastic stuff man
What is this program you use for emphasizing things in the replays? It cuold really help me tbh
Epic pen!
Maybe something about a wave control for support?
3:00 Isn't the wave frozen if they kill yassuo on his turn? So Aatrox doesn't need to push and can just reset.
I thought so too. that beimg said I guess the risk/reward thing and general minion advantage for fighting is still relevant
Nice video. Thank you.
Thank u

I didn't understand the point about league being a turn based game. But I got the point about waves unlocking extreme aggression opportunities.
doesnt yone just die if he tries to "make it his turn" against the heimer with ult and turrets set up
Good video well done!

Good informative video but i dont understand what to do if opponent abuse these push, how can i retake my turn
Play safe conserve HP and wait for your tower to end their turn, then play strongly!
nice comment
Thanks for the comment, it was very nice
My issue with wave management is that whenever I leave lane to do something plays just disappear from the map, its like a curse lmao
honestly everyones so much better at this game now that even plat is hard now
copium
I just make sure it is ALWAYS my turn

@@LettuceStop the latter is true, but that's still IMO too small of a window for any relatively good player (maybe plat+) to see
