- I´ve upgraded the Max 4 limbs to the Max 6 limbs. These limbs are smooth and fast. Hope you enjoy this video
Limbs are Morrison Max 6 medium, on a Dryad Epic 17 riser. Around 50 pound at 27 inches

Either you are very very good with math in your head....Or you have done some calculations before filming.....Nice testing. Good video.
Yes sir! Yesterday I was teaching at the Bowhunting course, which are required here. The students was testing their gear, so I was trying this bow too! Thats why I know the numbers.
Bob is a Great man like Fred. Go New school on this one. You see that target rock back with Max 6 limbs.
are glad you show the big differences small details can provide
Love ya, Brother. 😉👍🏿
Your material is always informative.
Thanks man!
I always wanted super curves, but I am now getting the same speed from my Nika N3s. With a 27 inch draw length and shooting a 50lb bow and 500 grain arrow I am getting exactly in the 187-188 range, so just as fast as the super curves for a fraction of the price.
I’ve heard good about the Nika’s too
Beautifull bow!
Congratulations on the MAX 6’s - enjoy 👍🤠
Thanks buddy!
👍🏻👍🏻Looking forward to seeing some more hunting,
Just waiting for october 1st
Thanks Peter that was a good good video their right to the point very good
Thanks man!
nice upgrade . . can't wait to see it in action in the Willows!
Thanks
Another great video brother!
Thank you
Have 3 sets Pete glad you got yours brother enjoy! Brandon did the same for CD WF 19 riser they just scale 1lb heavier. The draw cycle is front loaded.
Nice shooter👍
Wow. That is very impressive, especially for the draw length.
Yeah they are pretty fast
Nice! Cool looking bow, too.
And it’s also a nice shooter
I like videos like this!
Thanks for the video i stay with my Border Black Douglas 7,2 hex limbs
That’s also a nice one
Great video.
Wow very fast Bow 👍👍👍
Yes pretty impressive
thanks for the vid,,,,
Your welcome
You didn't have to show me the weights on the grain scale. I would have believed you. I enjoy your vids. Loved your comment about showing the weights and how important it is, "especially on UA-cam". LMAO There are a lot of skeptics out there.
Thank you! And I’m telling you! If the outcome aint like some folks are expecting, I’m either cheating with the poundage or the arrow weight. I’ve seen it before. Thanks for watching
Wow. Impressive speed for that heavy of an arrow setup. I shoot older Bear recurves, one was made the year I was born, 1963, everything back then was Dacron string. I guess everything is fast flight string now? One thing I have noticed is that sometimes a 52 inch bow will shoot faster than a 60 inch bow of the same poundage. I think shorter bows stack weight on faster, therefore transferring more power to the arrow.
I have a Bear Grizzly ano 1974 my self, and that’s a shooter. Not fast, but a shooter. I have a couple of vid’s using that bow too on my channel. The reason why shorter bows are faster is because of the weight of the limbs. The longer limbs, the more they weigh. Thanks for watching
Cool
Let those arrow fly 👍🏻
Got ya👍
Educational video. Peter is that a Bearpaw bow quiver ? What are your findings of the quiver ?
It´s a Great Northern Strap on quiver. And it´s bought from Bearpaw Germany, so that´s why it says bearpaw. Other manufacturs are putting their name on them as well. One of the quivers I like the most
Awesome video and nice bow! Make sure those arrows aren't hitting the target and slowing down before the nock is completely outside the chronograph measuring points. Could be showing slower speeds than you're actually getting. Though, those are pretty realistic speeds.
Thanks man! The target is more than a meter behind the cronograph
@@peterjuulsgaard Awesome. Was watching on a tiny screen, can be hard to tell! Keep doing what you're doing! Thanks.
676g at that speed is great. It'll be a real hammer. Look forward to your first Roe Deer with it 😁
Looking forward to it too😀
Hello from the USA. Virginia specifically. I have been watching your videos for a while and today I subscribed to your channel. Looks like your location is Denmark? I wanted to ask you if you have ever had the chance to shoot a Shrew bow? Specifically the Classic Hunter II longbow. Its a compact bow at 52" designed by Ron LaClair and made by Henry Bodnik of Germany. $800 USD for the Siberian Tiger model. I would love to shoot one before dropping that kind of cash, but none in Virginia that I am aware of. Great content on your channel and I always like getting the new videos. Very informative. Reconrokon from Virginia.
Yes you’r right about Denmark. But I haven’t tried a shrew bow. In fact I don’t even know anyone who has one, yet. Thanks for the sub
Hey Peter, thanks for all your good videos! Im a beginner in archery. Do you use any systems for aiming or is it pure intuitive? Keep on!! Would love to see a new vid on 3d course!!
Thanks! I shoot instinctive gap. Focusing on what I wanna hit, and paying attention to the arrow at a blurry vision. I’m more a hunter, than a 3d shooter, but I’m use to make a 3D video once a year, around february.
great information. I think im getting one 55lb at 29 "
It will be a beast!
Man they are nice limbs.
Yes sir! I like them
You should obtain and test out a vintage Jack Howard Gamemaster Jet. You would be impressed.
I already have to many bows🙈😳😀
Can you do some videos about aiming because im just now getting into traditional archery and need to know about aiming
I believe you can find some on my channel already. There is alot on UA-cam as well. But some day I´ll make some more video´s about it
Start at 5 yds
If you want to get into gap shooting, I recommend the gap shooting series by a channel called Archery 101. I found them to be very good.
Hi peter, I recently purchased a 15" Dryad epic ILF riser and a set of Med Morrison max6 limbs for a 58" bow. I see you have the same exact bow in a 60". My question is two part, What do you set your brace at ? and have you had any issues with string coming out of limb groove while drawing the bow ?
Braceheight is around 7” . The Dryad is a fast riser, because of the 16 degree pad angle, but there is a little bit handshock to it, with the Morrison limbs. But a heavy arrow will fix that for sure. No I have never had issues with the string coming out of the limb grooves. I would have send it back to Morrison if I had. Congrats on your new setup
The THUMP that heavy arrow makes... Can't even hear any noise from the bow. I noticed that when I increased my arrow weight too.
Yes sir! That’s exactly right. There are several benefits of the heavier arrows. The sound is one of them
I like your pants cowboy, where Can i get those 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
So what country and province are you hunting in?
And what Broadheads will you use? Sounds like Magnus stingers or Buzzcuts.
I’m in Denmark Europe. I’m using VPA 3 bladed broadheads
@@peterjuulsgaard Then you must have good distributors there,....most good shops here and in other states are sold out since june,......Mike Sohm at magnus said they were like 4-8 weeks behind,.....it don't sound right or there would still be some hitting shelves,...and there's none,.... he said he would recomend a distributor,.... he was the only company answering email's.
I'll look up V PA's then to see if their available,....here things are patchy,...some feathers,.....I waited 2 months for 11 125 gr field points.
Well your getting game with a bow thanks for the VPA tip they look sturdier than the simons sharks.
I wonder what it would be with my 32 inch draw length? Sounds like I need one
It would be crazy fast!
@@peterjuulsgaard yes, at 27.5 you're not even getting into the limbs completely. You got to grow your arms longer😉😁
Haha! These are also the medium limbs. You should probably go for the longs! Unless you are going for a longer riser
Hi Peter, would you kindly tell me what is the width of these bow limbs?
Thank you.
Around 1,5 inch on the widest
@@peterjuulsgaard
Thank you very much!
Im studying the riser ´s correlation to the limbs lately and came to a conclusion that even though the XC limbs could have any performance benefit vs normal curved limbs, it is only in combination with the riser reflex or deflex or a balance between the both, finally its all about to provide a preload angle for the limbs for optimal performance as well as stability. speed etc. what do you think?
Yes the x curves are creating some preload already, and a combination with the pad angle on the riser, this preload can be even higher. Carbon is also lighter, which are helping performance too
@@peterjuulsgaard i thought that the riser design should contain a preload for the limbs and limbs should be R/D type
@@peterjuulsgaard so in my opinion, the optimal performance is secured thru risers design: length, balance, weight and the camera design. VS limbs design Reflex Reflex. The quiquest bow design is offered by falkenholz and Predator niche.they both offer deflex riser with diagonales designed limbs fix points.the riser is 18" and Esther heavy 0,7 kg. Or more.then the limbs can be from different material but what figures its design Reflex deflex.so both brands can offer speed heavy Arrow over 215fps with 40#. With heavier limbs falkenholz hora Up to 315fps
What is an heavy arrow? I mean those numbers you are talking about, can´t even be done with most compound bows. So the must be one of a kind. Awesome to see a video about those bows, showing that performance
@@peterjuulsgaard ua-cam.com/video/1-CeevrhAdg/v-deo.html
What's the actual string length on that setup? Thanks
56”
These limbs looks very wide.
Would you kindly tell me what's the width of these limbs?
Thank you very much.
The width on the widest point is 1,65 inch. Thanks for watching
@@peterjuulsgaard
Thank you very much.
How much does the Morrison cost
I believe they are 900$ now a’days
Does SuperRecerve have a greater risk of Limb twist?
Have you ever encountered this situation?
No I have not
You dont need to use limb pads under the string siyah area? to silence the bow?
No it doesen’t make a difference in Sound on these limbs. Only in speed
@@peterjuulsgaard how is hunting going on?
@@alexyatsyuk70 we are out of season now. Only waiting for the roebuck season in May
What do you think of the Xcurved limbs in comparison to traditional recurve limbs as a hunter? I have seen a slow motion video morrison and border xcurved limbs they have a hell of a vertical vibration both, morrison a bit less then border hex7,5. But the olympic archers they dont use xcurve because the normal curve is more steady to vibration. so after long pondering and studying, my peronal choic eis in favor of Gillo GT19" riser and carbon recurve limbs Gillo hunter
@@alexyatsyuk70 there are more vibration, no doubt! But I dont feel it’s a problem shooting for hunting purpose. They are not that loud because of it. But they are less forgiving alright! And if I would practice for the world Championship I would also chose a more regular curve. I my self have several bows of different design’s and I shoot them all with Great joy
thats close to my fred bear 2022 1967 design kodiak hunter 60 amo 50 pound draw throws a 8 grain per pound 185 ftp and a total 600 grain 12 grain per pound 165ftp....,,,, i seem to favor 10 grain per pound for best kge and ftp... but a dead buck never dont know the diff...ha
I’m guessing that your drawlenght is longer than 27 inches👍
bow pulls 44# at 28..50at my 30in,, k h pretty snappy bow....not as much as the one u posted but not far behind
This gentleman must be afakasi. 😂 part Samoan.
No I’m Danish
Would you tell me what is the maximum draw length of this bow?
Cool
