      And what string are you using in this bow? What lenght?

    • @peterjuulsgaard
      @peterjuulsgaard  3 роки тому +1

      The limbs is from Morrison Archery USA and the riser is from VPA Archery in USA. As I didn’t make this string I can’t say the exact type, but it is a 16 strand and should be a fast flight string. The bow is AMO 56” but a string for a AMO 54” fits this bow because of the big curves

    It looks like you're not quite into getting all That you can out of those limbsat your draw length. But my draw length would be to much for that beautiful bow, I draw 32". I'm looking at getting the Morrison limbs

    • @peterjuulsgaard
      @peterjuulsgaard  2 роки тому

      These limbs are build for a 17” riser and 28” drawlenght. So thats why I’m using the 13” riser, since I draw 27”. If you draw 32” you should probably have longs, on a 19” riser. Its gonna be fast

    Pretty cool you could see the last arrow in slo mo and watch the arrow flex as it was going to the target. Guessing high FOC causes extra flex too, so more visible. Heavy arrows can quiet your bow down some too.

    • @peterjuulsgaard
      @peterjuulsgaard  3 роки тому +1

      Normally my bows are shooting between 150 to 160 fps. With the arrow weight I’m chosing! But with these aggressive recurves I need this heavy an arrow to get down in that range to ophold the sight picture I know. It helps alot with noise and momentum too. Fun to play with. The last arrow was a bareshaft, and since there is no drag from the feathers it flexes most the way to the target. Just and indicator of perfect flight

    I’m having a hard time quieting my 6’s. Das 21 riser, 47@31. 3 under, even tiller. 490gr. Got silencers on 18 strand fast flight. Up to around 28” they’re quiet, but past that I get a lot of twang. What’s your tiller set at?

    • @peterjuulsgaard
      @peterjuulsgaard  2 роки тому +1

      My tiller is a little negative with the real heavy arrows and more like even with say 600 grain and down. It’s probably the drawlenght, which I can not relate to, as my drawlenght is Only 27”

    Hey, Peter. I just purchased a Samick, 17" riser and their foam core limbs which gives me a 62" bow. I am getting 155 fps pulling 60# with same weight arrow. So, you are getting the same performance for 10# draw weight less! I need to save up for the VPA riser and Morrison limbs! Thanks again for another terrific video.
    Two questions: What length are the limbs?
    What energy calculation are you getting? I'm thinking 38.9?
    Only 8 weeks until bow season here in Maryland. Cannot wait.

    • @peterjuulsgaard
      @peterjuulsgaard  3 роки тому

      These limbs are medium limbs! So they are 60” on a 17 “ riser. It becomes 56” on the VPA riser. Yes there is alot difference in regular foam core and the super curves. Yes it’s around 39 KE/fps or 51 joules, Thanks for watching my freind, and shoot straight🏹

My draw was measured with 29,5! But this can‘t be true! I am between your draw! I am going to measure again! I shoot split Finger! Tiller is set to 0. No negative or positive! I am interested to buy a vapor riser, cause ist is very nice. Did. you buy Ur in USA? And what comes with the riser? Did you have a middle grip? I have ilf limbs from 30- 45 at 29“ on 19“ Riser! With the Vapor i think it is 56“ bow and about 34 and 50 lbs. Thank you

      The brace height is 7,75 in this video, but now its at 7,5” . I’m shooting the heavy arrows because I like the Sound of the heavyer arrow and It’s performing quite Well. You can shoot lower grain of course. The spine depends on your point weight and on this arrow the point weight is 300 grain and a 145 grain insert, so 445 grain in front. Yes I ordered it from the USA and it have a medium grip
