I have this same exact car, I sat in the GV70, and I prefer the G70 interior the way it is. Maybe it's because I'm 51 and prefer the more traditional look, but I have zero complaints about the interior, it's gorgeous to my eyes.
I’m not sure how it’s really outdated aside from the left analog screen which really isn’t a big deal at all. Wireless CarPlay would be nice though. I have a stinger GT so I’ve always liked the Genesis products a lot. What I prefer about the stinger though is the ambient lighting which I wish the G70 had and center area with the Mercedes’ style air vents in the stinger.
Yeah I got one too. And I was definitely close to getting a Genesis. I like what they're doing over there. The interior is nicer than a Stinger to me. But the Stinger exterior looks cooler to me. Both dope cars overall.
The interior is nice, but definitely “outdated” compared to other Genesis. Most of the interior was carried over from the pre-refresh, aside from the infotainment system. If you take a look at the GV70, which is supposedly the SUV equivalent of the G70, you’d find this interior outdated, too.
It's only outdated when compared against it's siblings. The GV70 and G80 have the most current Genesis design language and look a lot different from this. I'm just waiting for them to update the interior on this model before I jump over to Genesis.
Interior buttons need to illuminate white, infotainment wheel needs to be put in place of drive select, grille sensor needs to be moved behind the grille, illuminated door sills need to be standard, interior ambient lighting needs to be included, needs to go full digital dash or go back to the old one
Hopefully one day we get the g70 shooting break in the states that could solve the backseating issue but I know a lot of people are not really buying wagons but I can only dream can I ha
I have the exact same car but the 2020 version and prefer the rear styling on that model. But overall this newer model kicks its ass, particularly on the gauge cluster and with the bigger touchscreen and the blind spot camera is a really cool feature. I also love the headlights
So nothing is new for 2023? Absolutely nothing? Lame! At least add the wireless apple car play and make the dash all digital! I also wish they would put better ambient lighting in it, it really brings the cabin to that next level of its luxury counterparts. I drove a 2022 and I loved it, super zippy and responsive. All it needs is the full digital dash and wireless apple CarPlay and it would be near perfect, plus the ambient lighting.
Ew all digital, bro I don’t understand why people like that. Having something physical is way more appealing and i like what genesis did. Digital just feels delayed and wrong to me.
@@inotable5029 Genesis and Hyundai are one of the few that got digital dashes right. I drive a lot of different cars for a living and they have some of the best digital dashboards, the display build quality and resolution is unmatched right now

Great review. 👍🏼 What is new in the 2023 model, compared to 2022 model?. 🤔 But...🤔 👇🏼 If the speedometer has changed to the left side, then...👎🏼😓...there should be a digital speedometer in the middle!.
They really shoot them selves in the feet by not doing a fully digital cluster. EU and Asian markets get it, why do they stick us with the half analog bullshit? It literally ruins the entire cabin for me.
Drive the GV70 and tell me if you like the 3D cluster because I don't, the eye tracking box looks like it was thrown in there last second, isn't flush with the cluster, just sticks out with two red dots always in view. Once they figure that out, I'll start complaining that it isn't an option.
Really? My 2023 voice commands are amazing. It understands me clearly. Turns on of ac/heater. Rolls windows down. Windshield wipers. Directions etc. It works really well for me maybe they updated the 2023 software.
I am definitely not a fan of the half physical, half digital dash. Either make it all physical or all digital, not this ugly hybrid. I'm not a power junkie, so the 2.0T is plenty powerful for me. I have easy highway passing. I can race ahead from an intersection when the light changes to bypass obstacles. Absolutely no complaints at all. Moreover, the 2.0T costs $6,000 less than the 3.3T in Canada and it has better gas mileage. With soaring gas prices, I appreciate the cost savings. And $6,000 can buy a lot of gas!
Very nice car. The only drawback is that it looks sort of average. Nobody will notice it on the road. I prefer my Kia Stinger GT Limited. Because even after 4 years on the market, it still turns heads...
