@lamarsutton3668 I think the reliability issue is not an assembly matter. Rather, one of design. The high end Germans ALL fell for loading their engines with complicated sophisticated gadgetry. Gadgetry that breaks and is expensive to maintain. Been that way since the late 90's. In a perfect world, Audi would sell me their work of art body anf interior , and I could mate it with my Hyundai Azera engine and transmission. I'm at 185,000 miles on it, and have been very happy with it. Regular maintenance plus some gasket work from 117k to 180k. Pretty sure you could NOT have had that experience in a high end German car. 6h
@alanparsonsfan it's design and cheap parts. All they care about is performance. Go to a BMW dealership and ask the people who work in the service department. They'll tell you They'll never own one of them lol.
That’s a big lie. I’m a senior Machanic at our BMW dealership here in the mountains and I we all drive BMW except for one our manager who drives a 911 4s. German cars were made for wealthy people and the people that can afford their high maintenance!!
This car is just that....a car. It master's nothing, does nothing better than the very machines it stole everything about it from (Benz, Audi & BMW) Benz mastered Luxury/Tech, BMW Mastered Performance, Audi Mastered the AWD system, Styling & Precision Steering....This is a joke not competition.
Those German cars mastered your checkbook too lol. I owned an audi and that thing broke every 3 months. Mom had a Mercedes. Broken every 4 months. Not sure what your point is. Maybe it's that this car doesn't do what those do and eat away at your savings. Lol takes like this make me laugh
The real joke is the ridiculous over-engineering of EVERY German made vehicle. If you like spending all your time and money fixing your 50k plus car, have at it. The old saying a fool and his money are soon parted is never more reinforced that the purchase of a high end German automobile!
johnsingleton1924 If you enjoy 90% of the performance and experience for 80% of the price-to say nothing of the repair costs down the road--then you've won the game.
The problem is, everything Genesis does is to imitate German luxury…. I was looking at my local dealer, I live in WI as well, and the g70 was less than $1000 dollars cheaper than the BMW. You would be a complete idiot to buy a g70 3.3t instead of the real product. The BMW has more torque, more horsepower, better 0-60 and better mpg. The same goes for the benz. However, the c43 and the g70 get the same mpg. In summary, to me, it is really stupid to basically pay the same price but get half the car. Just a few years ago, Genesis was just a line of Hyundai cars. People didn’t think Hyundai was worth the luxury price so they didn’t buy. So, Hyundai smartly rebranded. Still, I wouldn’t pay 50k plus for any Asian car. Waaay to basic. Just get the Sonata. That way, you won’t get super embarrassed when you have to explain you’re an insecure poser driving a Hyundai that imitates the look of benz/Bentley.
That’s an 80k car my dude. That means it’s more in line with the c63 and the M3. Both of those German cars objectively speaking, according to the specs, absolutely smack that Lexus. To each his own of course. I hope you love your whip!
The truth is, everything Benz, Bentley, Cadilac, Lincoln and Germans do is to imitate the look each other and German doesn't own solid desgin. Looks solid doesn't mean look German. Doesn't even compare price or warranty wise
German brands are fading away slowly. Reliability will be there downfall. Sadly german cars are built in Mexico and the U.S 😂😂😂😂
German performance, yes. That's why their 2.0 engines keep up with or beat the 3.3. Genesis is nice though. Reliability will be an issue
Thats a weak poor take. Sorry stop hating
The old saying a fool and his money are soon parted is never more reinforced that the purchase of a high end German automobile!
well BMW & Mercedes engineers helped design this line up.
johnsingleton1924 If you enjoy 90% of the performance and experience for 80% of the price-to say nothing of the repair costs down the road--then you've won the game.
I'd take the G70 over any of the German cars. I bought an IS500 to replace my Stinger GT1.
Is the universe German? I'd take any G70 over Germans and European cars. Just buy golf. Price is for superior design and atmostphere. The whole world knows you are jealous german jealous of superior Genesis.
@@bustanutist my IS500 was $65k, I'm not sure where it's 80. If you have a C43, S4 or M340, I hope you enjoy it.
@@timw2083 According to Kelly Blue Book, the LS500 starts at 77k and can go as high as 112k. I love my amg.
You went to the effort of making a video, yet you don’t wash/polish the G70. Gross.
yeah who reviews a dirty ass car
I was looking for this comment one minute into the vid 🙌😂
