Hello!
Soooo... I'm finally doing it! :D After doing my first collab with RPG-Art Otaku (link below) I got motivated to finally start translating the whole Persona 3: The Weird Masquerade musical number 1! I'm also a lot more confident now that I can do it :) I'm not sure if I'll be able to translate the other ones too, we'll have to wait and see. I divided this one into 4 parts to make it easier for you to watch and for me to make, so stay tuned for the next parts!! In the meantime, enjoy Part 1 and tell me in the comments what you thought about it :)

Not gonna lie, wasn’t expecting the sees gang to sing Soul Phrase at the start.
P3 has a very VERY serious story that tackles the philosphy of death and life.
but holy shit i can't stop laughing at the dramatization of this live action. (the actors are amazing but i still can't laughing)
also one of the struggles they can't show is farming +15 floors only to get unexpectingly rekt by a low level mob throwing a hamaon
The game have a story?, I have been playing for 6 hours and I only see a couple of students fighting the shadows and living their normal life.
@@tomasperalta864 it starts slow, that's for sure but as you keep playing and get deeper into the story, by the end of it all you will feel the impact of it especially when people start to actually.... well if I told you, it'd be spoilers.
stick with it, it's worth it.

Made my friend watch this with me, he didn't know what Persona or even SMT was. In short, it was great.

Thank you very much for creating subtitles for this! Shouta Aoi is perfect as the Protagonist from Persona 3!! I wished they had created a live action movie or series with this cast, but the stage play is incredible as it is!!

Omg I know I'm late but thank you for this you're a goddamn hero! I been watching these persona videos all day not knowing what anyone was saying and now after all this time I found this with subtitles lol. It's mess up that stuff like this was never subtitle for fans outside of Japan

I've wanted to translate this musical for 2 years, but my Japanese wasn't good enough, so I'm happy this day has come as well :D I hope I'll be able to translate the other musicals too, I wanna have them on my channel :D

@@Angelic_Jay I have seen the 2013-2017 SeraMyus and I loved them all!! I know there's an old one where Sailor Moon fights Dracula too 😂
I also used to watch Bleach Rock Musicals a lot & I really enjoyed them, I think they were well done too, so I recommend these :D
@@phoenixmaiika 2013-2017 Myus are my favorite as well! Though I do have a love for the Bandai '93-'05 musicals as well, and the music there is arguably better than the newer ones (at least, vocals-wise. xD). And actually, the Dracul musicals are REALLY interesting. It's something original, which I really like about it! There's also the Nogizaka46 musicals (Which have run from 2018 to 2019 and all 3 are Dark Kingdom musicals with different senshi casts) and those are also amazing and I'd say the best Dark Kingdom arc musicals we've ever had. xD
I used to be really into Bleach, but I fell out of love with it. Maybe I'll watch a Bleach Myu or 2 and see if I like it or not. xD

Thank you so much for doing this! It's hard to find the whole play on UA-cam? Do you have the DVD? Anyway, you're such a big help! How did you learn Japanese?
Sadly I don't, I just found the play on the Internet a long time ago & didn't feel confident enough to translate it until now xD I've been studying Japanese properly for a few years now, first alone & 1.5 years ago I got a teacher, and I've been soaking my brain with it for a decade through anime, music and dramas xD I passed the JLPT N5 exam in December with a 95% score, I'm studying for N4 now, so I do have some qualifications, but translating seiyuu videos into English is just a hobby of mine xD I'm really glad people are enjoying the play, it motivates me to keep translating ☺️
@@phoenixmaiika That's good to hear! I wish I had more time to self-study Japanese. My Japanese has improved a lot since I watched the raw of Yugioh VRAINS online. But I want to be able to read and speak the language proficiently too, not just understand it.
@@cyberqueen7784 the only advice I can give is keep practicing and using Japanese :) and if you want to learn kanji I recommend a book called "Kanji Look and Learn", it has 512 kanji with mnemonic devices and illustrations which really help to learn, there are also lists of words which use these kanji, so you can expand your vocab as well :D

Mitsuro looks amazing and truly like a real-life version of Mitsuro. Yukari, though looks too weak and cutesy. The Yukari in the game looked a lot more strong-willed and confident.

You're welcome :) No, I won't translate Persona 4 plays. I don't have them, I've never seen them, I generally like P4 the least in the series, there's noone I like in the cast and I've heard that they've been subbed already. I guess if you dig deep on the Internet you might find it

The stage play is different from the games line of events
that's true, they did change some things (like every adaptation does, such changes are inevitable), but on the other hand I played Persona 3 Portable with Japanese dubbing and I can tell you that some lines in this play are exactly the same as they are in the game xD
