Have you ever read the bible ? How many time Jesus must say he's sent by god for you to understand? Read John 5:30 . Even on the cross he's talking to god and not to himself ! If Yeshua/Jesus had said and preached that he is God, then necessarily such a crucial, fundamental and essential teaching would have been found in every gospel. And we observe that the "divinity of the messiah" is non-existent in all 3 of the synoptic gospels, as well in the apocryphal gospels, as well in the gospels from some hebrew communities of early christianity, like the ebionites. Here after only one of the lepers (the foreigner among them) came to show appreciation to Jesus, Jesus said in verse 18: “ HAS NONE BUT THIS FOREIGNER RETURNED TO GIVE THANKS TO GOD?” So, he is basically saying that he is GOD. Giving thanks to him is giving thanks to God.

As to why Christians worship Jesus foremost is because we could understand Jesus who lived as a man and lived by what he preached rather than an omnipotent, omniscient, conceptual god whose existence and ways cannot simply be understood by humans. our islamic friends like to call this conceptual god as Allah, and just because Allah is so vast some people misdirect and lead astray others with that belief and use people to be involved in terror activities. that man/women will think they are fighting for the god when in fact the god never wanted any part in it; it's just the bad people who led them to do that. i don't know much about that religion but they do have prophets who have guided them before on what's sane to do and what not so we'll leave it at that. fortunately Christians had Jesus or there would have been no new testament but slavery & murder in the name of religion promoting beliefs till now instead of love. and that is why Jesus is worshipped even when he didn't proclaim himself as god.

In the Quran... Jesus is mentioned several times and even has an entire chapter under his name.. [and another chapter titled Maryam..(or Mary)]. God alone has the power to give Eternal Life. Jesus claimed to be able to give Eternal Life. Jesus prayed to the Father. But Jesus is the Son of God. non of us are worthy of being able to be called the Son of God except for Jesus, because Jesus lived a sinless life according to the Word. Because Jesus was God in human flesh, I don't see why he can't pray His Father. After all, Jesus did these things by the example that we should follow so of course.
