Thank you very much Robert! I’m going to have trouble affording to buy one on my Military retirement, so I’d like to try and make one. Your video is very helpful. However, I don’t see a part two. This one ends saying “and I’m going to you that to you”.
I’m in NC and did take mine off and repair it about 8 years ago but we hear rain drips again so I better replace it this time. Perhaps with stainless steel so it will last my family after I’m gone (I’m 67).

I was looking forward to seeing the soldering. But, the video is incomplete.

I have a game changer on doing collars easier if you want to know with a pittsburgh seem and no welding . I have about 5 made a week mostly aluminum lately . I have a great line on center air cooled replacement flue caps . I know your customers request the center caps for replacement

Didn’t but can. I can make just about anything out of sheet metal. Dad started teaching me when I was 16 and did my whole life…just retired

How do you make the collar? I too make chase covers and spend too much time on the collar. Just looking for ideas to speed up the process.

I buy them pre-made from an a/c supply house. a couple of bucks a piece. Beats spending an hour making it. They list them as starting collars.

Hi I own a chimney company and we want to start making our own chasetops. Could you let me know what fabrication equipment and maybe the type of suppliers to contact for the sheets of metal. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
