    I feel so bad for that little girl. I am sure that grandma remember every single thing. I think she don't realise how much can words affect a child.

      Andreea B. She is slowely destroying the sisterly bond that can be built by equal treatement. The older sister will get too spoiled and the younger will get an inferior complex. She even enjured herself to get the attention she doesn't get from her grandmother. It is only natural that she does go overboard with her actions. The mother should have a good talk with the grandmother to make sure they get equal treatement.

      Yes and I don't like how they're are reassuring her that the grandma loves her when they should instead tell the grandmother to be nice with her, grandmother says she has a bad temper like how do you expect her to be when you literally don't treat her nice? She is even cutting herself bc that's how much love she needs and is insecure, I feel bad for her.

    I feel so bad for the little girl. There's no reason she should be treated like that. I found it sad that she cut herself purposely to get attention. That shows just how much love she lacked in her childhood.

    does the first woman think living in Canada with eight kids is cheap or something? she honestly lost her mind. I read somewhere that some women love being pregnant because it makes them feel accomplished and worthy maybe she is the same. also that is dangerous we take childbirth lightly because of technology nowadays but every pregnancy comes with the risk of dying. imagine if she does die and leaves behind 9 kids. she is really irresponsible imo

      in addition the burden that is being put on the older children must be huge,as they become older they might lash out ..

    • @MsJackson1330
      @MsJackson1330 7 років тому +34

      ciattylovesperoni exactly she keeps mentioning them helping but they shouldn't have to. they are kids not parents and most of the kids she has are toddler age or below. there are only three kids who look like they could feed clothe and bathe themselves. she needs to spend time with the ones she has, can't even control them to sit still for ten min.

    • @ciattylovesperoni
      @ciattylovesperoni 7 років тому +21

      exactly! i don't even know how a real bond can be formed when year after year a new kid is coming out. She says they are cute now but watch when they will get older, while babies are hard to take care of, so are teenagers and young adults, they will require so many things that they will ave a hard time to keep up. its irresponsible to make that many children when they don't have the financial means . She doesn't even take into consideration the hardships the children will go through into adapting into a new culture !!And to scrounge off the Canadian government just for popping out children is ludicrous,if anything will they even offer the help immediately since they haven't lived there as residents in a long time? Visa's and stuff get in the way too.... this is just a mess

    and the grandma in the second concern is making me feel so frustrated, at that age the kid is in, it's really important to feel loved if they don't it might affect their mental health a lot later on

      There is a problem. She took two kids to canada leaving 5 with others for several months. Her plan is live for a time with two kids leaving 6 to be cared for by dad and grandparents who would rather there be only four kids who she is actively involved in raising. She is collecting kids, not having kids because she enjoys the work. She would not delegate to day care and leave the country without most of them for months at a time if she enjoyed it.

      Esp. since she's already doing things to get attention, I mean cutting herself so she can get love from her parents that she doesn't get from grandma!? When she told them that she said it with a smile, she was proud of it. She's learning bad habits b/c of their behavior and they will be harder to break or like you said affect mental health as she gets older

      I agree. As a Korean growing up in a small town in Australia it's so common to greet strangers down the street and make conversation. When I do the same while visiting Korea people all look at me like I'm crazy... I tend to be extra as well with my friend and we are sometimes loud and ratchet out in public and start dancing like her. lol. Every one should aspire to have her outlook in life.

    And I feel bad for the mom. She got scolded for buying her daughter a pair of sneakers!
    WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH PEOPLE???

  • @BubburTee
    @BubburTee 7 років тому +325

    The fist lady is just selfish. Having 12 kids might not be hard for her but it's very likely that it will take a toll on the rest of her family. I mean did you hear her plan?? She's gonna move them to another continent in bunches and leave her husband alone and isolated from his own family for 5-10 years and wants HIM support them?? It's just ridiculous! What she said about skyping them in Canada if the family in Korea miss them made my heart sink.
    plus does she think that Canada is a land of rainbows and unicorns where people don't have financial struggle. If she's having all these thoughts about not being able to support her family financially in Korea, she need to stop having kids, that what she needs to do.
    Edit: second concern is very worrying, what the grandmas is doing is so wrong, if the child feels neglected to the point where she does things like cutting herself on purpose to get attention, then that's a serious problem.

      I feel bad about the first husband. He should be more firm, the wife expect the husband to sponsor her living in canada. She should just go live in canada alone instead and feel what is like to be left alone. She should be thankful that she have a nice husband who treat her nicely despite her selfishness.

      emigrating to another country is not easy at all
      even a family with a enough money will go through hardship to adjust in a foreign country !!
      and i head that living costs in canada are very expensive
      the husband cannot be the only money supporter
      the mom should also have a job to afford anough money for her kindergarten family

    idc that grandma is hateful and her sister is evil she didn't have to go tell that her mom got Gahye new shoes that was unnecessary and Gahye attempts to getting love more from her mom and dad had lead her to cut herself small cut or not she thought if I'm hurt they will pay attention to me that's not the way for an 11 year old to think.
    and her grandmother say basically I wish you were a boy and she ask her mom if it was okay for her to be a girl that's messing with her mind and to say that in front of her a joke or not is hateful.
    then her mother I know Korean ppl respect their in-laws deeply but she needs to stand up for her child and put her oldest girl in her place. you can't scold her Because she said she would tell her grandmother what shit is that.

Whenever my parents say something about my younger siblings if they're wrong I defend them, not treat them like that! I think she's a terrible sister for not showing any concern when her younger sibling is so hurt :(

    Somehow, I don't think a country that's letting in thousands of refugees is dying to let in an unemployed woman who doesn't speak English, has eight kids, and has no need to be there. The new immigrants don't have jobs or speak English either, but their lives are in danger. She just wants the kids to speak better English. She could do that for free by looking for English speaking families living in Korea and arranging to meet up with them now and then.
    And her husband needs to toughen up and get a vasectomy.

      Aubrey Lane OMG no liek really wish I could be on the panel and speak my mind to this woman the way she acts and thinks is so selfish and irresponsible. she says that they'll learn to speak better English in Canada her husband's business is doing well and that everything is fine and will be fine. but what she doesn't understand is there is no guarantee that even one child with a good HS education will land a spot in college or even get a job with a degree they now have to do that with 8 kids and she's trying to go for 12. also her and her husband both looked so much older bc of stress that's she doesn't know is being caused no matter how healthy she thinks she is. she's only seeing her way but she doesn't know what will happen to her husband's business or if she'll be able to get a job when things fall through. especially living in a foreign country that is expensive to live in and get a job in especially since none of them speak English or French bc she said Quebec. and she doesn't deserve her husband to be honest. that man loves her enough to keep having children with her that he's not sure he can even take care of ad to only do things she says for so long and not the upset and just submit to her will is love of I've ever seen it I would of gotten a vosectimy years ago if I was him. the main thing is they have 8 children, they are an older couple, they have to put all 8 through high school and college and maybe even after, her husband's business can fall through at anytime and she doesn't have an assured job either, and moving to a foreign country doesn't exactly help them financially bc jobs and a home are an assured thing she needs to stop being delusional and listen to her family. it breaks my heart to see her elderly parents her kids even and especially her husband have to put up with her even though they have tried to explain to her that her plan isn't good how could she be so selfish to her parents who raised her, her husband who's solely taken care of her and the family, and especially her own kids who's life she's blindly putting in June this whole situation is sad

    The last lady is really an adorable person but I can see in the perspective of that guy of how it can be so annoying when she does it so excessively. Instead of going around bothering random people who may or may not want her company, maybe she can volunteer at children orphanages or homeless shelters of some sort (non-profit organizations) and socialize that way; she can help them have a brighter day and she herself would be satisfied. It's like a win-win situation

    I actually feel for Gahye because it hurts when people who you're close to make you feel worthless and she's only 11 she shouldn't be treated like that, in my opinion as an older sibling Gahye's sister should actually help out even when she's not asked, she should defend Gahye or even just try to understand her, otherwise the relationship between the sisters will get worse solely based on jealousy.

  • @koizakura7
    @koizakura7 7 років тому +42

    For the second concern, as someone who's lived with my grandma for 5 years (due to many family issues..sigh) and got constantly verbally abused, I was completely outraged at this situation because it reflected so much of mine, and it's not something to be laughed at. I'm the older sister and I have a younger brother and my grandma directly treated us very differently. She would tell me that she didn't want to hear my voice and that I pissed her off because I reminded her of my mom and just many many other things. At the time, growing up, I had a really hard time coping with her treatment towards me but after 5 years, I got quite used to it and started showing disinterest to her, but it remains a huge pain to me. I actually kinda started hating my grandma (she had anger management issues and at the time, I didn't live with my mom and my dad was barely home and even when he was home, he didn't do shit and sat there and watched her yell and throw things), and it was all a living hell for me. Now, the situation's better, I'm living with my mom with my brother and I'm happy that I got away from the situation. It pissed me off just LOOKING at the grandma's face in the second concern and there is no way she does not remember those incidents , my grandma was the same, she acted like she knew nothing. But it's really difficult, maybe even impossible, to change the mindsets of those in older generations, they've lived totally different lives exposed to totally different ideas (especially older generations in Korea, I'm Korean riprip) and they keep believing what they believe....sadly. It just made me really angry at the second concern and I hope the younger sibling isn't affected as much (it will affect her when she's older one way or another) but I hope she copes with it well :) shititypedalot

      Same girl. I can relate to that too as my both sides of grandmothers were horrible with me and my younger sister. Also as my maternal grandmother was the eldest and she had a sister so she is also our grandmother who also doesn't like us more than my cousins. That shit hurts a lot when both sides of the grandparents don't like you. But now I just ignore them coz I know they will never change

  • @Hana-gd1vr
    @Hana-gd1vr 7 років тому +37

    The second concern is making me sick.
    You can see how Gahye literally looks like she is about to cry any second. She isn't bad tempered or an attention seeker, she is mistreated badly by her grandmother. Saying that she even burst herself to get attention makes me worry very much about her.
    I also don't think that the MCs want to laugh about it. Call it what you want, but they are taking the case seriously and you can just hear and see that they are really annoyed and angry. But they have to laugh and shrug it off, that is the Korean industry. Even the crowd was feeling uncomfortable and you could see that some of them were angry and mad about how the grandmother pretended to not remember.
    The mother looks like she 100% understands the daughter. Just look how she always looks to her mother in law and how she hesitates, she even said the grandmother scolded her for going to the show.
    The grandmother and the sister are making me furious. I seriously don't care if she is old or anything, i just want to slap here right now. The sister too. She looks perfectly fine to me and she feels just as uncomfortable, then why doesn't she speak up against it?! Instead she says that Gahye should treat the grandmother better, bitch, the fuck this little angel should. I'm usually really respectful but I just can't when I see how she treats Gahye and I also think her mother. I have experience in not getting as much love as my siblings, and I and my mother also are mistreated by my stepfathers parents while they praise my younger sister and brother and I know how horrible she must feel. This whole thing makes me just so angry I seriously can't even type without shaking because of the anger

    In my opinion the grandma clearly is playing dumb and knows exactly what she's doing is wrong as for the sister she appears to be using her grandma as a shield and lastly for the mother she doesn't appear to have backbone to stand up against her mother in order to tell her she's doing wrong what I feel if this continues the younger sister will have great resentment towards her grandmother when she grows up

    • @SingingSuperstar28
      @SingingSuperstar28 6 років тому +2

      Kawaii Paradox about the mother not having a backbone: of course there are a lot of reasons for that but we have to consider that in Korean culture age is extremely important and respecting your elders seems to be the number one priority (for an "ideal" citizen)

  • @TabooTalz

    No offense, but that first woman has really not done her research
    She wants the kids to learn English, but Québec primarily speaks French. She thinks it will benefit the kids, but the oldest ones especially will have such a difficult time studying and adjusting to a new language and new place.
    And if she's so worried about the expenses of raising children in Korea, she shouldn't be considering having four more. She seems to have an unhealthy obsession for giving birth.

    • @TabooTalz
      @TabooTalz 7 років тому +14

      Also, her husband looks depressed as hell, she seems to rule over the family and he can't do anything about it. It's pretty obvious he's unhappy about the size of the family and her future plans

      The reason it's so expensive is the government for pushed for so many to have one or two for too many generations. Parents put all their resources in the kids. Now the standard of living is just unfair to people. Governments should aim to allow an economy where most people could have four confortably. With divorce no longer taboo people should be dealing with shared custody and step siblings. People need to get over the single parent stigma already. If two parents can raise four a single mom should be able to raise a kid or two on their own. Why does real estate cost so much, fix the supply and empty unit problem and bring those costs down.

    as an older sister, I do get favored but if my little sister got treated like that bs, I would not see my own grandma. The older sister is so sly, saying she only told her grandma as a small talk with no intention. she knows exactly,how to act to get what she wants. I also feel bad for the mom too but she shouldnt let her mom in law treat her daughter like a POS. thats her duty as a mother. the little girl is probably so hurt since she even went as far as to self inflict her hand to get attention for love. omg.

    Having lots of kids is not a problem IF the parents are devoted enough; making future plans for the children etc but in this case it looks hard in the future for the development of the kids esp in studies, financial and even behaviour. My mom has 8 siblings and from the way my grandparents treat and raised them with utmost devotion and I see no problem.

    The first concern honestly makes me so upset. She's not even taking the opinions of the members of her family seriously. They don't want to go. The father doesn't want to be separated from his kids. He doesn't want anymore children. Yes it's okay for wanting more children, but if people are stressed out and tired it's not. I don't get how she's so stubborn and has such a selfish mentality that's not letting her take things into consideration. Plus, the ideology of moving to Canada is pretty absurd. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Quebec is a French based city, therefore the children will need to also learn French which will be challenging. I hope she just stays in Korea and stops having children. Poor dad :(

    as a Canadian, Quebec's language is primarily French not english. French is usually an even more challenging language because you really have to enunciate your "s" and "r"s. to yeongsook, she can totally channel her energy to spread to deprived. visit orphange, old ppl centre, hospitals where some dont have anyone to talk to. she can study pshycology and help out others by counselling. or open up a counselling centre for normal people as mental health issues often get unnoticed. he nature is not a concern, its how you harness her energy that matters.

    Ok so the lady in the first concern made me really frustrated. Like I get you wanna have kids but you have to think of your husband first. He only wanted 4 but she wants 12, she wants to move to Canada but he's not sure yet. Actually quite selfish.
    The grandma in the second concern made me mad. I'm sorry but I know she remembers everything. If she can remember going through a rough time with her kids and stuff she can remember what happened recently. The girl is only what 11? Yet she was still saying harsh things, and those things will have a huge impact on her life
    And the third concern made me so happy lol. She just wants to spread joy and happiness

Marriage isn't a one way street. So sad.

  • @peko7446
    @peko7446 7 років тому +6

    I came here thinking that I'm going to get a break from being frustrated watching Kdramas. lol, the concerns in this episode is worse because they're real.
    First concern, aside from her(stress on her) wanting to have more children, I'm curious which pathway she is going to use to immigrate to Quebec,Canada beyond a tourist visa? Is it that easy to immigrate to Canada? What's galling is she thinks it's OK for the Canadian tax payers to support her just because she has a lot of kids. If her goal is for her kids to learn/speak English, that can be done in SK. It just takes money, dedication and time. Her husband needs to put his foot down for once.
    Second concern, favoritism sucks no matter what. Grandma is sly, but not sly enough that people can't see through her lies and evasion to answer the questions. Grandma won't change and won't ever. She doesn't even see or fail to see that she's hurting her relationship with Gahye. Rather than having two granddaughters loving and caring for each other and her, instead she's cultivating resentment among them. The only thing that can help Gahye is her mom to mitigate the hurt feelings incurred from overt favoritism.
    I'm done with this grandma. She's not adorable at all and that's an understatement.

    The mother of eight from the first concern is a stubborn coldhearted being. Marriage isn't just about providing the best for you family, but it's also about agreement and settlement between the two partners. You can tell the husband has been pushed around because of the mother and is so used to it that he has no choice but to stick to her decisions. The kids also seemed to be afraid of telling their own opinion. Honestly, all I saw was an unstable and unrealistically thought family. She needs to consider her husband and children's opinions regarding something as huge as emigration. Her intentions are pure and only regarding her kids, but it seems like she is so focused with her stubborn mind on the goal she HERSELF though out that she is not seeing the bigger picture. I feel so sorry for the husband, he came off as such a sweet man who clearly is being pushed around by his wife. sad.

    i love the last concern. though we can all agree that she might get in trouble if she talks to the wrong person at the wrong time and she needs to be more careful and all but where's the fun in that? just kidding. but on a serious note, imagined someone having a bad day and just need someone they can talk to even for a short time. she could've been a great help to someone like a blessing in disguise. if we are all on edge and constantly worrying about what ifs and all then we will always be on the same spot and won't move forward. there's nothing wrong with being on guard and such but it's fun to let loose sometimes- is something i would advuce but i could never apply to myself. 😧😧

    The first woman is really unbelievable. First, living in Canada is not cheap at all (I know because I live here) especially if you have 8 kids and planning to have more, it is also hard af to adjust if there's an obvious language barrier. Second, she's an adult but she doesn't think and act like an adult at all, she's too self-centered and doesn't even bother hearing out her family member's opinions. I hope one day she'll realize that a family is not just determined by quantity but people who shares opinions and supports each other's personal likings instead.

    I had the same experience as gahye, but it was my mother who treated us unfairly. My sister was always hospitalized when we were a kid due to asthma while I was the healthier one. I end up being to competitive with my sister until now to get my mother's attention. During our teenage years, she would always tell on my face that she doesn't trust me and would only discuss family matters with my sister. She thinks that I would not understand anything when in fact my sister and I only has a two-year age gap. My mother trust her too much that my sister end up rip her off during her college years.

    The contrast between the first loving grandma and the second one who 'forgot' anything she did wrong is shocking.

    This show victim blames too much and laugh off serious issues. There's no point in the show unless they actually recognize the problem and try to help instead of entertaining the crowd as if it's a scripted joke.

      Kea O This is a variety show so it has to entertain people. When you decide to send your concern, you have to know that it will be broadcasted and everybody gonna talk and discuss about your story. I think they did try to help, but some problems are just so complicated to be fixed. They just want that through their show, people will think one more time about their problem and try to fix it. Sometimes, you r the only one who can resolve your own problem. We can't blame the show. I love the show though, and I think they did a good job. Hello Counselor Team fighting!
